Hello Everyone

Child of Amygdala

Hello everyone, I am the Child of Amygdala, but you can call me Saiyas. ^^

I fell out of roleplaying a while ago but I've been world building as well as developing my own conlang over the past few months, so I thought I'd give roleplaying a proper shot again.

I've never used an RP forum before, so while I do know a little bit about character/world/story building, I am only used to doing it on a much more intimate scale.

I used to do it more casually but I am more detail-oriented now. I love creating complex backstories and making the character's worlds feel real.

I am currently planning out a massive project that will host a series of D&D campaigns in a country called Caulron. There will be a rich history and multiple cultures but I want the players to be able to participate in large-scale events that define the canon throughout Caulron's history. Saiyas, Daughter of Amygdala- the name that I am using here- is a character from Caulron who left Alleas because... well... you'll just have to find out when the time comes!

On the personal side of things, I will try and keep it brief: I am 23, I just started my transition in February of this year (MtF), I love technology and music, I do software development for work, I am a homebody who is scared of leaving the house, I'm into anime and Japanese culture, and I love cats! :D

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know some people and start posting in RPs. If you have any questions I guess you can just post them here and I will respond when I can. ^^

Hey Saiyas, nice to meet you!

Greetings and salutations!

Welcome to RP Nation, where Roleplay is our business.

You've found us, congratulations for choosing the best RP site on the whole intertubes, we're glad you're here and a part of the expanding universe that is RP Nation. Also, now you're officially one of the cool kids.

Before you being your quest to becoming one of the old hats here at RPN, please do take a second and take a look at the site rules. You can find them here: INFO - Official Site Rules | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum.

Unlike the Pirate code, they aren't more like suggestions but rules that we take a bit seriously. If, however, you've got a few pieces of eight you'd like to swing our way, we're always more than happy to take it. (I said, the rules weren't suggestions, never said we weren't piratey mate).

Once you've had a glance over the rules there's more information to be had here: Site Questions & Information | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum. You can find something there to answer just about any question you might have.

Now then, I know that you have to answers that you're wanting answered now and the first is, you can join any RP that is open. You can find the different RP genres here: Roleplays | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum

They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.

If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.

If you have any questions, issues, or concerns, don't hesitate to get in touch with either the moderators of your forum (the genre), the Super moderators, or even the admin staff. You can do that here: Site Questions & Information

Again, welcome to RPN and happy RPing.

I don't have any cats unfortunately. :( We're trying to pull funds together to get one, but the big problem is finding a place for the litter box. Can't let it outside cause I live in a pretty treacherous area for kitties. (Hence why I stay inside, hehe) It's killing me not to have one.

Funnily enough I actually just answered the question about anime recently. :D

[QUOTE="Child of Amygdala]Hourou Musuko hands down. The only anime/manga (called Wandering Son) I've ever seen that approaches gender identity issues seriously and with such accuracy- all the way down to the darker details.
Magi and No Game No Life are pretty high up on my list now though after watching them together a couple months ago. Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu and Nichijou were also really great.
