Hello All. I’m new!

I’m new to online RP. I mean I have role played before but only privately 1 on 1 with my friend...in person. Kinda really new to online role play actually hehe. The only other experiences I have are all DnD related. So as a new comer anyone got advice that introduction threads didn’t mention to help get myself off the ground?
