Julian woke to a tap on his shoulder, a girl who was blushing and stood in front of other girls that were hiding their laughter. "Excuse me, um, are...are you new here?", his eyes spoke volumes but his features expressed that he was very bored, shockingly he didn't feel the need to set the girls' hairs on fire. He closed his eyes to go back to sleep but the girl was persistent, "Um, I'm Terra, if you're new maybe you'd join us for lunch? It's not just us girls, there's guys too." As if that'll convince me, growling he stood to his full 6'5 height, slightly pleased that the girls stopped giggling and shrank back, "I have a fated one and a sister, no more friends are needed. Don't talk to me again. Need I ask if a threat is required for your persistent pestering to end?" The girl named Terra shook her head profusely and ran off with her friends.

Walking towards the door, the teacher looked at him whispering for Julian's ears only even with the distance Julian heard him loud and clear, "Son of Hades, might want to tone that down otherwise it'll be obvious who you really are. You're goal is to make human friends and learn beside them, not scare them away. We, the teachers are all Demi-s your brethren, know that Aimee is your fated one but have you told her yet? You know her father kept her hidden and she knows not of the ways of neither gods nor humans. Tell her and stop hiding beneath her shadow, get along with the humans of you'll be here longer than 4 years.", Julian scowled at him for stating the obvious and bringing Aimee up like that. He knew better than anyone else the predicament he would be in if he didn't have at least one human friend in 4 years.

Leaving the class, his class had been let out earlier than the others, Julian made his way for Aimee and Shakuntala's Anatomy class. Opening the door during a lecture about bone density, he notices his sister isn't sitting with Aimee but with Ryan. The room's temperature increases to sweating hot as Julian stood there, fire in his eyes directed towards Ryan. "Gasp!!!! Spider!!!!!!!!! Eeeeeeeeeep!!!!!" it was Aimee, she screamed so loud even Julian looked at her distracted from Ryan. She pointed at the wall and everyone screamed and tried to cluster away from the wall, giving Aimee time to run down the stairs towards Julian. She shoved him out the room waving to Shakuntala as Julian again glared fire at Ryan until the door shut in his face, "Why is that human talking to my sister, Aimee?" She shushed him and kept pushing him until they were outside. She took his hand and led him towards the forest where a bench sat until a tree, "She's blending, like we should, that humidity you did was uncalled for and could've got you found out, Julian!" she spoke his full name making him grumble and lay down behind the bench. She stood on her knees on the bench looking over the back at him and smiled, she was no longer mad as he went back to sleep.

Shauntala was well aware when Julian entered the classroom. She stiffened and glanced over, seeing the venom in his eyes directed, she was more then sure, at Ryan. She had a brief flicker of fear, not for herself, but for Ryan, knowing exactly what Julian thought.

Maybe she should just make female human friends, but she didn't know if that would receive the same reaction or not. She bowed her head and was grateful when Aimee caused a distraction. She knew the class would be over in a little bit, and then she would go after them.

She sighed softly to herself when it seemed over, she said softly to Ryan, "I'm sorry. I have to go talk with my brother"

She searched for a few moments before finding Julian and Aimee. Not looking to Aimee, and not caring that Julian was asleep, she shook his shoulder, and then placed her hands on her hips, and tried to adopt an expression of sternness, but failed. "While I appreciate the fact you want to protect me, Julian, do you think for one moment I'd let a human hurt me, in anyway, without retaliation? Do you know part of the reason why I am here? because I'm lonely. Because I haven't always had someone like you have. Yes, I've had you, and since you care so much for Aimee, Aimee. But I've never had a friend to call my own. And I want that. I don't care if its demi or human. Here, I can try. You have to let me try, and to not want to kill anyone I speak with. Or at least not act on it. Please" And here her resolve failed, and she bowed her head.

Ryan raised an eyebrow at the situation and nodded at Shakuntala. He made his way to the wall people where crowding away from to find no spider. His gaze shifted around the room at the students as he sat back down in his seat. Where did this sudden heat come from? He shifted his position to refrain from sweating as much as the student in front of him was. When did it get that hot? Ryan unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. Did the air conditioner break? The teen glanced at the clock seeing the few minutes that remained of their class time. Ryan recalled Julian's...glare? Was that a glare or a death threat? Maybe both. He ran a hand through his hair, "...". What did he do that seemed so wrong?

Hersey had dropped her stuff off at the room she seemed to share, she saw Shakuntala and Aimee. She could relate to Julian, even though she knew that he wasn't a human. It still made her happy to know that she found someone to relate to, if only mentally. She wasn't watching where she was going and ended up on the floor without realizing that she was falling. She flinched, that definitely caught her off guard. Sometimes her teachers and coaches would get onto her for tripping in the middle of something, she often didn't pay attention to things but this was the first time she actually fell to the floor. She thought falling was kinda like riding a roller coaster, they always catch people off guard and right when you don't expect it. It always happens, sometimes she thought life was like that.

Stay differnt and remember that i will always love you.

Julian still had his eyes closed when he heard Shakuntala speak to him quite angrily and offended. He heard Aimee shift on the bench and the crunch of grass as she stood up to sit beside him, as Shakuntala ranted. "Sister, I meant no offense. You must realize that I trust few in our homeland, this world is new to me. You and Aimee want to make friends with them both male and female and I'm trying to understand that, I'd never believe one such as that Ryan could ever harm you but you see I'm nothing like our mother and everything like our father. Deadly to the core, stubborn, and always in denial. You must bear with me, for I am trying and also realize I didn't set the room on fire, yes?" He grinned, opening one eye to look at her above him.

He felt Aimee wanting to hold his hand but was being respectful of his and Shakuntala's conversation, so he took her hand himself noticing her eyes brightened a bit. "I'm sure it's almost lunch time. If and when Ryan and/or any other males that join us, I will be polite par your request, sister. I did say I would have to be nice but I lost myself when I saw Aimee alone and you with a male. My apologies so raise your head, I'm proud that you have spoken your mind and heart to me."

~

Aimee smiled when he took her hand, she wanted to help calm the situation but Shakuntala was right. Julian went too far and even though he had stated that he lost himself because she and Shakuntala weren't sitting together didn't mean he had the right to overreact. "Don't worry, Julian won't hurt anyone or kill anyone. Lord Zeus would exile him to the underworld with Hades if that happened, and we both know Julian wouldn't like that." She laughed when he gently pinched her thigh with his free hand.

Shauntala sighed. She wasn't doing any of this to make him proud of her. "You only didn't set the room on fire because Aimee distracted you. And I fear the day she isn't there to do so. Because I don't think I'd be able to stop you, like she can. Despite the fact that I probably take after our mother more, I am also our father's daughter. As for being a lone with a male? It was a class We were never alone. For starters, there was the teacher, and then other students." She sighed again and looked over at Aimee, "have you ever thought that we might be disillusioned? Humans seem to have a better grasp on emotions then us. Angry can make people do things they wouldn't necessarily do, without fear for the consequences. So While I know that Julian wouldn't do it on purpose..accidents do happen. It was fine before, but now we are here, around humans? He may be older, but in someways, he's still a child, running on the whim of his emotions.

She looked up, "You've already said yourself Julian. You lost yourself. You seem to forget humans are breakable, easily. You can't afford to lose yourself. None of us can. The humans out number us greatly, so if we give them cause for war....chances are, more then one of us will fall, despite the numbers they will lose themselves. This isn't home, and you need to realise that sooner or later, before you do something you'll regret. Take this time to actually do something. Just let your guard down a bit. You might discover something about humans that's worthwhile if you do" She fell silent for a few moments, and then she ran her hand through her hair, and managed to smile slightly.

"You might found out you actually enjoy it, but knowing you, probably not"

The teacher grunted rolling his eyes, "Class...dismissed". Ryan slid his pen back into his pocket and walked out of the room with his notebook under his forearm. Now what? The teen walked around the campus observing the way his peers acted. There was definitely a wide variety of types of people that he didn't even know existed. In his peripheral vision, a couple quickly kissed each other on the lips. "Hm?" Ryan stopped in his tracks seeing the couple begin to intensely kiss each other. WAS SHE EATING HIM? No, no! That cannot be right! Ryan blinked a few times feeling his breathing pattern speed up. The teen turned away trying to erase the image from his mind. He knew that a kiss on the lips meant that someone was very fond of another person, but he didn't really understand the concept of romance. Ryan never even heard of it. The books his mentors made him read were either action or adventure. The feelings his parents showed to one another were demonstrated by a quick kiss and a hug which they gave him as well. That was the love he knew. Ryan walked away from the couple and watched a group of people huddling around as if they were hiding an object. The teen tilted his head to see...he didn't even know what he saw. The object looked like some sort of robot constructed by an engineering organization. Next to the clustered group were a few students sipping coffee and reading as if life was the easiest thing on earth. He continued walking another direction. Maybe there were other peers he could observe who he could relate to..even a bit? Or was this the way that most of his peers acted? Ryan thought to himself for a bit. He didn't mind. Perhaps he could try to get used to it. It would take time for him to understand.

Tim smiled to himself as he got up from his chair once the bell rang and he saw the knowing look from the teacher and the teacher called him over as others were leaving. "Can I help you sir?" Tim asked with a slight chuckle. "Yes Tim, I have stuff to teach and you have things to learn. So don't let me catch you doing that during class again." He said in a quiet stern tone. "Sure thing sir." He said and smile before turning and leaving the class. He found snow settled on the ground around the classroom he had just been in and he enjoyed the crunch it made when he walked through it. He quickly made the day go back to sunny as he exited the room and began looking around to see if he could find someone to talk to. He saw the guy from earlier when he had tripped over Shauntala. He walked over and smiled he looked a little lost to be honest. "How's it going Ryan?" He asked as he walked up behind him. Another thought entered his mind he still had to find out who his roomie was as well.

Aimee pursed her lips as Shakuntala spoke, knowing full well Julian was in fact listening intently even though he looked bored and ready to pass out. She didn't comment on the 'child' comment but she had to strain to keep a straight face. She suddenly heard someone fall and turned slightly, looking behind her to see Hersey on the ground, "Hersey! You alright?" Aimee let go of Julian's hand to stand up and go towards Hersey, kneeling down beside her, "Hersey, you weren't paying attention again, were you?" She sat back on her heels, poking Hersey's arm waiting for her to at least look up.

~

Julian sighed when his sister finished ranting at least he thought she was finished, ever like their mother Persephone, Shakuntala was quick to speak her anger. "Sister, while I respect you and your advice, I'm asking that you do not request such a thing as 'let my guard down', but as I said I will try." He didn't like his sister speaking down on him like a child and war? That would never happen. What could worms do to gods? Nothing but he kept silent as he stood up over Shakuntala inclining his head towards her. "I do not want friends because you and Aimee are all I need. Why did our parents send us here when they themselves have never had human friends? Lovers yes hence the Demi gods but never friends. Why should we be punished thusly? I merely want answers and I won't get them from worms." He realized he was calling them worms less often making him cringe, was he actually considering them equals or better than actual worms? Sighing he nodded to his sister and left her to follow Aimee.

"Hm?", Ryan turned to see Tim, "Okay" He said recalling the events he had just observed. A shiver ran through his body. The shiver came from the snow that randomly disappeared and the scene he replayed in his mind when the girl was eating the guy alive. Ryan's facial expression turned blank as his thoughts began to wonder about the public man eating woman. That guy didn't even fight back! Was it because she was a girl? But he was being eaten alive! In fact, what puzzled Ryan the most was that the victim looked like he was enjoying it. Ryan kept his blank expression for a bit then snapped back to reality. "You sir,..how's it going?" He asked trying to sound as casual as he could.

"No need to call me sir. Tim is fine." Tim says smiling at Ryan that was odd you never really got people calling other's sir. He thought as he stood there talking to him. "Oh I'm fine still yet to meet my room mate, and just trying to talk to a few people make some friends around this place." All that time he had spent learning about how the humans interacted but this guy caught him off guard with how he interacted. He had even come to the human world a few times when he learned he was going to a college in the human world. Tim looked around and saw the girl showing a very big display of affection and Tim couldn't help but chuckle.

"Maybe it's because of attitudes like yours" Shakuntala said softly, fully intending for Julian to hear as he walked away. They had power, and they were more then the humans, but did that mean that they had to have arrogant attitudes towards humans? She didn't think so.

She sighed, looking over and seeing Aimee with the girl she recognised as her roommate. With shock she realized she recognised the girl, as one of them. Hersey Aimee had called her. So obviously she wasn't rooming with a human.

She sighed once more, and stayed standing where she was. She didn't know what to do now, she didn't think it was a punishment, and they had all made the choice to be here. Julian only chose to be here for Aimee. More and more she began to feel like, ever since he met Aimee, that she was becoming less important in his life. Everything he did, it was always with Aimee. They hadn't even come here together. She knew why, but that didn't make it any better.

It made her feel more alone then ever. She closed her eyes, and then walked back inside the school building. She didn't know what she was going to do, but for now, anything would do.

Ryan turned away from Tim and began walking in a calm manner in the opposite direction. What kind of person was this Tim? Here Ryan thought that the guy was okay, but no. Turned out that he laughed at people getting eaten alive. The teen kept his calm as he saved himself from the influence of a maniac. Maybe Tim ate people too? HOW HORRIBLE! Did he salt them or something?...put some Oregano? Enough of the useless thoughts. The couple left their post! That man eater could be anywhere. Ryan dodged a few slow people who were trudging through the halls while he still maintained his calm facade, but stopped when he felt a hand grasp his shoulder. "Hm?" The teen looked over his shoulder to see another student with her eyes closed and lips puckered up. His eyes widened when he saw the man eating girl wrap her arms around him and lean toward him. "Miss!" Ryan leaned away quickly moving out from her arms. "OH!...OH MY GOD! Oh sorry! I thought you were someone else!...odd you look almost like him. I'm really sorry!" She turned red then saw her victim making his way to them. "Well, I found him see ya!" The student left Ryan standing in the middle of the hall. "..." Ryan walked over to a bench and sat down clearing his mind of all the events that day. He moved his hands through his hair while leaning back onto a wall.

Belle was completely unaware of all of this drama, deep in her own studies in the mess hall. She could smell the aroma of various foods that she was dying for, having not eaten breakfast this morning. She figured though she would wait until her new roommate and her interesting friend would join her so as to not be rude. Idly she began to wonder if it was as obvious of who the deities' children were to others as it was to her. The ones she knew of were not really subtle about it. Obviously, Julian and Aimee were heavenly beings. She more concluded this because they had arrived today and the whole chariot of fire was not exactly what anyone would call subtle. Who they were the offspring of didn't matter to her really, only that she knew she couldn't exactly get very close to them. Of course she would try to be nice and as hospitable as possible, but the thought of her having to lose a possible friend at the end of these four years was heartbreaking, and she didn't really want to take any chances.

Lost in thought, she was gazing out into space with a distant and glassy look in her eyes. No wonder she didn't have many friends - most people would think she looked quite strange if they happened upon her while she was thinking like this. And she wasn't that easily snapped back either.

Tim turned around and saw that Ryan had disappeared. "Ryan?" He called out but he wasn't in sight and Tim just shrugged as he yawned. 'I feel like I'm more comfortable with humans than he is and he is a human.' Tim thought to himself as he began to walk again, growing bored quickly as he looked for something to do. 'I could always change the weather again.' He thought to himself. 'Yeah why not that teacher said only to not do it in class.' He thought as a smile crept onto his face. He began to make it rain outside and he laughed to himself as people began to notice and he went to the mess hall to see what humans ate. He saw a table that had only one person sitting at it a girl. Most other tables were full and he thought best to just start with a few people at first. "Mind if I take a seat?" He asked noticing the girl was spacing out completely. He waved a hand in front of her eyes leaning down and looking at her. "Anyone in there? Ming if I take a seat?" He asked again lightly tapping her on the head and a little shake on the shoulder.

"Hunh?" Belle blinkded as she saw the hand in front of her face, then looked up at Tim and gave him a smile with a blush of embarrassment, knowing she probably looked quite silly just then. "Oh, no please do sit down!" she nodded and scrambled to move her things so that the boy could sit down next to her, "Here, let me move my stuff, just my homework and things..."

"Sorry, just thinking was all." She said, and tapped the seat next to her. "There are some other people coming too, I think, just so you know. I hope that's okay."

"Thanks." Tim said as he watched her move her things out of the way and he sat down next to her. 'This girl seems a little more with it than that other boy.' Tim thought to himself as he took a look around the mess hall noticing the storm brewing outside that he had caused and he just laughed quietly to himself, weather like this was his favorite. He then turned his attention back to Belle and gave her a friendly smile. "Oh I'm Tim by the way." He said after he had forgotten to introduce himself to begin with. "Yeah that's fine. The more the merrier." He said smiling wondering who her friends were. Hopefully they were friendly like her.

Joseph had walked out of class, after being dismissed and began looking for his sister. He tried using some form of telepathy, as they were related and were gods. So they should be able to talk to each other right? He looked around trying his best to find her, but he could not see her. She hoped she would return his "message" soon as he really wanted to see her.

"Tim." Belle echoed, and nodded with bright eyes. She was about to make small talk before she had realized she hadn't mentioned her own name. "And my name's Belle, sorry if I haven't noticed you around at all. I'm kind of oblivious to most things." She fumbled with her fingers a bit, unsure what to say next so she simply thumbed over to the kitchen area. "Wonder what they're cooking up. Smells good though."

She recognized him from the math class, and... she stopped mid-thought and frowned a bit at the storm outside. It was just snowing, which was weird as hell even for this time of year. Like, come on weather. Get your act together.

Shakuntala headed without thinking about it to the cafeteria. She stood just inside, not sure what to do. Talking right now just didn't seem like an option, and she sighed heavily. She glanced out The window to see that the weather wasn't what it was meant to be. She sighed. Someone was messing with the weather.

Finally, she headed to an empty table with a tray of food, and sat down. She leaned back in her chair, wishing she had something to do, even wanting to train dogs like she use to. What was she going to do here? Her roommate didn't seem to like her, given that she still hadn't even approached her and Ryan probably feared talking with her now.

She sighed again and started to eat.

Pakuna listened throughout his class, taking notes when e thought to, but mostly just listening and keeping to himself. When the teacher dismissed the class, Pakana was grateful. It wasn't that he had found the class boring, quite the opposite. It was the sitting there in the dreary classroom that made him squirm.

He looked about, but didn't approach anyone, heading to the cafeteria for

Food and sitting down

Joseph did not like snow, he went inside to the cafeteria. He saw a girl sitting alone and walked up to her table "Hello may i sit with you?" He asked in a cheery voice, wanting someone to talk too. Nobody had engaged in conversation with him, and he really wanted to talk to someone. Anyone at this point since his sister was busy! God, he thought I wonder what shes doing?

Shakuntala looked up as someone came over to her and requested to sit with her. She blinked, and despite herself, looked around for Julian before nodding "of course" she said, "you never have to ask Joseph." She didn't knkw Joseph very well, only that he was Aimee's brother, and was more then sure that Joseph hadnt recognised her. Which wasn't a surprise.

"Aimee is with Julian, last I saw of them out in the grounds, if you are wondering where she is"

Aimee sensed her brother calling for her and there was no reaction from Hersey so she was typically stuck. Julian could see her distress and unspoken need to see her brother so instead of standing over her as she kneeled beside Hersey, he reached down to take her hand leading her towards the building. She blinked unsure if she should've stayed but didn't protest as julian pushed open the doors. Instantly the aromas of freshly made food hit her nose, making her mouth water and her belly growl in hunger. Closing her eyes to smell deeply Julian suddenly stopped causing her to smack into his back, rubbing her nose she peeked around his arm to see Belle and Tim at one table then Shakuntala and Joseph at another. Aimee tried not to become distraught on having to make a choice. She loved her brother deeply and wanted to chat with Shakuntala about the day so far but then she wanted to sit with her roommate and get to know her as say hi to Tim. She tightened her hand in Julian's as she bit her lip.

~

Looking down, he saw Aimee emotions roaming freely through her eyes. Letting go of her hand he walked to his sister and Joseph, looking behind him to see Aimee rooted to the spot by the entrance. "Sister, Joseph, would it be too much if I requested you join us with Belle and Tim? If you look there at Aimee you will notice she can't move seeing two sets of people she wants to eat with not at same table." He smiled, his second smile all day.

(This was written quickly so forgive me if I missed anything)

A few drops of water landed on Ryan's shoulders. The teen looked up at the sky that suddenly began to shower everyone outside. Ryan stood up and walked toward the structure that most people seemed to be directing themselves to. It was a good thing he was wearing his "formal" white long sleeve button up shirt instead of being showered like some other people who just wore tank tops. The weather began to intensify after every step he took toward the structure. Ryan kept his calm as he reached the place and walked into the mess hall. He felt himself dripping wet from the weather that made some students scream as well as run inside. Maybe Ryan should begin checking the weather forecast of the area more often?

Hersey felt a poke on her arm and but she was hurting soo bad that she couldn't get up for a while, when someone stepped on her accidentally. She got up reluctantly and looked around, she smelled the aroma of fresh baked goods. It smelled okay for human food but she wasn't any bit impressed by the elegant tables, the table wear was as good as they could make it. She saw a small table at the end, where no one seemed to be and smiled happily. She would like this, she walked away though and looked out the window. She watched the scenery that was about as impressive as a speck of dirt.

Stay differnt and remember that i will always love you.
