heart's a flutter (twi x naomi)

Her head pressed into his neck, they rode to the great Hitachi castle and city. The guards on watch simply nodded at him when he hailed, allowing them to pass. Together they snuck through the, now dark, castle. Moonlight streaming in through the large windows cast the halls in an eerie, yet peaceful, glow. They came to his rooms, and he said, "We will not be bothered by anyone if we sleep here. My servants stay away unless I call, and my parents are too busy."
 
Nichole nodded and yawned tired. "Hmm lets hit the hay. Im tired from all the drama." Kissing him and walked over to the bed taking off her slippers, glasses and tiara.
 
Daniel stripped of his shirt, slipped into some more comfortable sleeping shorts, and put his head down on the pillow. His bed seem especially comfortable tonight. Or maybe it was the soft, feminine body he was pressed against, a thing he found himself wishing he had every night. It was far better than any silken sheets.
 
Nichole rested her head on his chest, using him as her pillow. She slept peacefully that night. Being safe with him and she loved it. Nichole dreamed of their future together and blushed.
 
Daniel awoke to sunlight shining the the window. His pillow was very warm, and soft. And very un-pillow like. With a start, he realized he had been sleeping on his love's chest. He felt his face redden as he slowly moved out of the compromising position; they must have shifted in the night!
 
Nichole yawned and rubbed her eyes sitting up. She stretched and said"whats wrong daniel? " tilting her head. Then saw him blushing and blinked looking s own at her chest and blushed darkly.
 
Daniel planted a chaste kiss on her lips, saying, "Maybe someday such things will be common among us. I hope so." Just then, there was a knock at the door. He frowned, calling, "Who is it? Why do you disturb me?"


"Daniel, my I come in?" Damn, it was his father. He looked to his love and asked, "What should we do!!?"
 
"Son I have received word that you have been seeing that girl from the other kingdom. You know how I feel about that!" Daniel rolled his eyes, as if he cared. After giving a lecture for about an hour, his father finally left. Helping her out from under the bed, he apologized for the wait. "I can help you get feeling back, if you want, " he said suggestively, moving to cover her mouth with his.
 
Nichole blushed darkly and said"o-ok." Kissing him.


Back at her kingdom her parents were furious! How dare daniel take their daughter like that!
 
Daniel looked to her and said, "If we got married, then our two families would be forced to get along. I want to spend eternity with you, might as well start with a lifetime." He held her soft hands in his, looking at her questioningly.
 
"We have to go to the church and make it official, after that, we can spend eternity together, living without fear of harassment," he figured, shifting his arms to her waist. "I will have breakfast brought up, what would you like?"
 
Nichole said"hmm pancakes please. " smiling. She hugged him so excited to be with him forever. He was her first and true love. No one was gonna take him from her.
 
"Pancakes it is!" They were soon brought up the the dumb waiter, stacks of them with rich maple syrup. He fed her a peace with her hand and chuckled and her surprised face.
 
Nichole blushed darkly and ate happily. They were good pancakes. She swallowed and said"these are good. But did I have to feed myself with your consent? " giggling.
 
He laughed, looking on with mock offense, "Sorry your highness! I thought you were used to being fed." He gave her a wink and continued to eat. Soon, he said "we should head to the church if we want to make it before the town fully wakes. Come my love, shall we get married?" He took her by the hand and led her to the church.
 
Luckily the church was vacant except for the priest, who had been waiting for them. He preformed the ceremony, making everything official. Throughout, the young couple's eyes were on only each other. "You may kiss the bride." He grinned and, placing a hand on her waist, pressed his lips against hers.
 
Nichole kissed back wrapping her arms around his neck. She smiled and slowly broke the kiss. They were married now, and their parents couldn't do anything about it! Nichole hugged him and kissed him again. "Im so happy that my wish came true."
 
Daniel kissed her neck, then whispered into her ear, "As am I, now all there is to do is tell people about it, starting with my parents." He was deep down dreading the moment, as if they reacted poorly things could take a turn for the worst.
 
Nichole nodded and bit her lip nervous. They didnt like her at all. And her parents didnt like him. Hopefully this will all work out for the better.
 
Walking into the throne room, he saw was father was eating brunch at the small, but ornate table to the right of the throne. He looked to be more focused on work matters, as his meal was untouched. "Father," he said firmly, putting his right hand around her waist, "I want to introduce you to my wife, Nichole ."

Nichole blushed and said"hello your majesty. " curtsying. Hopefully he would by the act. Nichole sighed in her head waiting and looked up at daniel.
 
The man frowned and said in a voice well suited for rule, "You, you are their daughter? Daniel, we are on the brink of war with them!" The anger drained out of his face though, he recognised the political move his son had made, even if it was out of love. Few wanted war, and he was not one of them. He smiled and gave Daniel a small smiled, "Well, now that your our bound in the eyes of the Lord, there is nothing left but to congratulate you." He stood then and kissed his daughter-in-law hand.
