Eliot, a young man of about 20 or so woke up. It was about the afternoon and he hadn't heard his girlfriend wake up--Let's just get things straight, he couldn't hear anything at all, and was deaf. So he couldn't have heard her getting up. He notices her still in bed and then taps her lightly as he stretches.

Whitney sighed lightly in her sleep, feeling completely relaxed as the blankets were curled tightly around her. She had a dreamless sleep, but it had been a well-deserved rest. She spent the night before working late at the coffee shop because there had been a special event, and she practically collapsed when she got back. Whitney shifted and stretched a little, opening her eyes slightly as she felt someone tap her.
