Fantasy Heart Attack Academy

iiimee

Sweet Transvestite
There's something strange going on at Lark's Academy for boys. Now, it was always believed strange things happened around the campus: All the students were young lords, princes, and high-ranking officers from different regions of the country, or from different countries entirely! It is this school that every young boy strives to go to, but alas, the commoners could never afford such a prestigious place. The teachers also have to be of a higher education, but that should be obvious. Anyway, back to my main point: Something strange is happening here, something the teachers try to act completely oblivious to. This is that from time-to-time... a student disappears. It's said that the last thing they're seen doing is walking out through the forest path alone, but of course nobody can prove this. The rumors spread like wildfire and became so popular that eventually the school banned any talk of this legend, and will severely punish anyone they catch breaking this rule. Still, the staff can't see everything and, as if in retaliation, more rumors spread. Some said the teachers were sacrificing students, but others claimed it was a group known as "The Heartlings". According to this myth, there are some students and even teachers at the school that feed on the hearts of unsuspecting victims. They're actually wraiths, humans that tried and are trying to cheat death. To stay alive, they must consume a heart every so often: It doesn't matter whose, as long as they're human. This allows them to change their forms. They could act as an old man, or a sharp young boy full of potential. As I stated before, this is certainly a myth, nothing more than a legend passed down each grade to the younger students by those older. Yet isn't there something intriguing about it? Imagine... what if you could live forever?

Sir Paden Crest couldn't help but be interested as several hundred first-years shuffled their way up the steps on the school, entering the building (mostly) quietly. There were a few who were too loud, running up the stairs and trying to slam the doors behind them to prevent anyone else from getting it. Paden was annoyed by those sort of people, but at the same time he found them entertaining, at least for this week: It was entrance week, and this was his fourth time watching it instead of participating in it. Being a fifth year was going to be difficult, but Paden was looking forward to it nonetheless. Most people didn't even get to the point of fifth year, which disappointed the knight-in-training quite a bit. Most enrolled at sixteen and got married two years later. "How can you all give up on your studies so easily?" It was a question he asked the new students time and time again, but the answer was always obvious, even if the boys didn't say it: There was no choice. In a world ravaged by war and disease, young men had become a rarity. Paden always thought being intelligent was one of the most important aspects of a future leader, but it seems like those in power don't agree with him. He couldn't blame their guardians either of course. Most would meet untimely deaths due to their positions, and they needed their heir to be ready to take the throne at all times. Still, it saddened Paden to see them leave their studies and head back to their countries. He wouldn't make a fuss over it though. He was a soldier at the end of the day, and soldiers needed to be brutal masters of combat. Human life was secondary to him. The second he graduated, his life would be centered about protecting the king of Myllinia.

Allen had a book under his arm, a good piece of literature he had gotten halfway through called, "The Moral Sayings of Plubius Syrus". He needed a few good quotes to get himself through another year of school without going completely insane.

Scratch that, another year of senselessly murderig his peers. Ever since his father had taken him through an unpleasant procedure of arsenic poisoning, followed by a week-long painstaking attempt to keep him alive, he had managed to become what he is now- a Wraith.

He didn't quite want to be a wraith, but he didn't feel like he had much of a choice. He certainly had a duty to uphold to his country. And with her sister out of the picture, well, there wasn't anyone else to take his place. And he certainly didn't want to die.

So Allen was stuck as a murder machine, always trying to survive under the radar, picking off those who wish to die, are such a douchebag that everyone wants them to die, or regrettably, just plain annoying. He had so far been successful in staying to this diet regimen.

He pushed his way into the halls of the academy, taking in the elegant atmosphere. He wondered who'd he'd have to share a dorm space with this year.

He wasn't sure if he wanted someone who was enjoyable to spend time with, or if he wanted someone worth killing off so he could at least have the dorm to himself for a while.

Xander ran his hand in his jet black hair, looking up the steps. He just wanted to sleep right now. His bags were heavy under his eyes, his skin slightly paler for some reason. But none the less, he sighed in annoyance and began to stride up the stairs. His eyes scanned the boys around him, being silent as he does so. But, since he was too tired, he couldn't be bothered to make ing out about them, so he just looked forward, his shoulders slumped.

All night he was playing with his sisters, which had forced him to. They knew that thy might not see him for a little while, but none the less forced him. One of the sisterseven gotscaredfor her brother that she hid his shoes. Xander found it cute, but saddening. He was Atleast free from an all girls house, but was now surrounded by boys.

Eventually getting bored with the awkward way the new princes and lords hobbled around and gawked at whatever they say, Paden slowly made his way down toward the crowd and walked into the academy building. Usually it smelled pristine and relaxing, but right now the scent of sweat filled the room. "Do these first-years know how to bathe?!" Paden thought, a little outraged. He was a knight-in-training, but even he didn't walk around smelling like... that! Shaking his head in disapproval, he tried not to trip over the boys (some being as young as twelve) as he walked down the hallway toward entrance room, where the first-years would be gathered. He wasn't supposed to be there, but the first day of the year was a sort of free day, so he didn't see why he couldn't be. He walked over and planted himself in one corner of the room, away from the gaze of curious first-years. One noticed him and tried to wave to Paden, but upon seeing the boy's face he slowly put his hand down and turned around. Paden let out a small sigh: Why were people so afraid of him? He knew the answer, but it only made him more angry. Rumors had been spreading all around school for the past several years of strange creatures lurking about, disguising themselves as humans and eating the hearts of young men. Apparently this rumor started twenty years ago, when the first missing student turned up dead, their heart completely gone from their body. No other bodies have been found, but since then the number of boys disappearing had been growing every year. Eventually the academy was forced to completely ban students from going off into the forest path alone, which was where so many boys were last seen going before disappearing seemingly off the face of the Earth. How did that relate to Paden? Well, in the recent years people had been adding more things to the story. According to these unrelenting gossips, the creatures were cruel but beautiful. It was a short description, but somehow it made all the princes and lords think of Paden. He was a serious person, but did they seriously think he was a killer?! It also didn't help that Paden was a huge skeptic of pretty much everything that isn't proven fact, including that myth. Nobody said it, but Paden had became a social outcast. Each year only got worse, with less and less people talking to him. Paden could insist he wasn't, but it didn't matter: Nobody would believe him, now that he was officially labeled "The Wraith".

As Xander entered the halls of the Academy Like laden, he nearly choked. He wanted to spray them all with heavy air freshener. But, instead, he crinkled up his nose and went on. He had no idea where he was going, his mind being devoid of everything in thought, so he went to the enters ve room, scanning around. Someone caught his eye. Paden. Xander had only been here a year, but he already knew about him. Xander didn't believe thst someone so into their studies would bother trying to eat people. Som he walked upto the boy, behind him. Giving him a small tap on the shoulder, he waited for him to turn around.

Paden turned around at the slight touch, his hand instinctively going to the knife he had hidden in his pocket. He didn't taken it out though, once he saw it was just a boy. "What do you want?" Paden asked him, crossing his arms and waiting for the boy to speak. Something about the boy's excited face told Paden exactly why the boy was talking to him however. "I'm not interested in you heart kid, but thanks." Paden said shortly, ruffling the boy's hair before walking away, out of the entrance hall. By the way the chatter increased, the young man was sure the rest of the room noticed his presence. Several of them called out to him, or at least to "The Wraith" as he had been nicknamed, but instead of responding he just kept walking. Immediately teachers sprang on the students they found shouting that name, pulling them by the ears and lecturing them about "appropriate discussion" before telling them what time detention would be. When Paden was finally a safe enough distance away, he stopped. His face was as cold as ever, but with that coldness came a look of anger. Taking a deep breath in and out, he continued to walk, where to was a hard question to answer.

Allen gave a small, inaudible snicker at those yelling "The Wraith", though it really came it out as more of a lip twitch and a "hm".

He wasn't quite sure why, though. Maybe it's sheerly because he knows it's not directed at him, but most likely someone innocent.

He attempts to recall what it was like to be innocent. To be without the weight of the blood of others on his back. He frowned, recalling the first time he had to kill someone. And the second. And the third...

He closed his eyes, loosing this train of thought. It was the first day of school, he mustn't think like this. At least, not while in the presence of other people.

He was towering over the rest of the crowd, as he stood at a whopping 6'4. Being in royalty, he had also developed a brilliant posture, allowing the extent of his height to be known. He made his way to the dormitory halls, eager to get his living space for the year set up.

" I wasn't going to say that but.. Okay.." She growled to himself, walking out and walking, gagging from the horrabke smell. Xander was a clean Morrison, despite him pranks that can be discussing sometimes. He took a teed breath, or tried to, walking through the halls aimlessly. He spotted Allen, and walked up behind him, tapping him lightly. " Hello?" He said, or more asked the person, raising an eyebrow. " Don't worry, I'm not here to call you wrath or anything, I just need directions.. I don't know where to go.." He sighed, itching the back of his head.

Allen jumps, his eyebrows shooting up once he is tapped .

He looks down at the shorter figure, a surprised look on his face..

Upon realizing he merely needs directions, he exhales with relief.

"Oh, uh... Where... Where do you need to go?"

He tilts his head, turning his lips inward, hoping to get this over with as soon as he can. He doesn't like chatting with new people all that much.

He laughed nervously, shrugging tiredly. " I don't know, it's only been my second year here and I'm still quite lost.." He shrugged, his hand slipping into his pocket. " Sorry if I'm bothering you. " He gave a short sigh. The bags under his eyes were very pronounced, being dark, and his skin looked a little pale. It looked like he hadn't slept for days. He looked up at the taller boy innocently, his eyebrow creased.

Allen purses his lips.

Surely you can stand to be interacting with someone for a few minutes. You'll have to do it far more when you take your position, right?

"Uhh.. Well, Im going to the dorms." He motions for his new, short acquaintance to follow him.

"Do you know what room you have?" He starts walking again, clutching his book close to his side.

@Dibbydoo

He followed, shaking his head. " N-No.. I don't, think so? Where do I check? Or was I meant to get some sort of paper?" He asked, utterly confused. The poor kid didn't even know what room number he was in. He sighed, covering his face tiredly. " Sorry.. I'm just really tired.. I'll go if it bothers you." He shrugged, looking up at the boy, his hair being quite the mess.

Michi walks down the hallway in her normal attire. She had her hair short and her vest and white undershirt. She looked like any other boy you would find in the acadamy. She had taken the nickname Mitch after the Headmaster had decided to let her into the school. She wandered the school to try to find where to get her room. It was going to be complicated in order to live with a guy in the same room, but she would manage. She notices two others down the hall and walks up to them with a small salute. "Hey... do you two know where we get our rooms?" she asked with her by voice which was pretty convincing

Shae's leisurely trip down to the entrance hall is expedited, as ever, by the sound of a commotion. Curiosity piqued, the blond quickens his pace, more than willing to get involved in any first-day-of-school drama that could possibly have arisen already, and he arrives just in time to see none other than one Paden Crest storming away from the scene of crime. Behind the other boy, he can see teachers lecturing abashed-looking students— most of them young, kids who don't know better than to buy into the rumors that surround the so-called "Wraith." It's easy to see what happened here; someone used the name, someone else got excited, and all hell broke loose. There's a shit-eating grin on Shae's face when he steps into Paden's path, effectively intercepting him. They've been in far too many classes together not to be acquainted, even if Paden must undoubtedly be fed up with Shae's frequently obnoxious conversation starters. The one he's about to use now, for example. Right now is a prime instance of Shae Fairchild's Ways to Get Your Classmate to Hate You™.

"Hey, Wraith,"

he says teasingly, completely ignoring the anger in his companion's expression,

"eaten any hearts lately?"

Allen shakes his head.

"Oh, oh no no no, no youre not a bother."

He looks at the newcomer.

Oh lord. Now I've got two, ok uh…

"Neither of you know where you're rooms are… Ok, let's just look around for the headmaster, alright?"

He rubs the back of his neck, a little nervousness showing.

Most of the time, somebody would make a snarky comment back. If any of Paden's usual classmates were in his shoes, that's what they would have down. Not Paden. Paden just looked down at the boy with cold, unfeeling eyes. "Get lost kid." The boy said, not even looking back at his own words. Paden was only seventeen, but already the boy acted like he was superior to everyone around him. Without saying anything else, Paden strode off to the teachers. His previous roommate had left, so now he was supposed to get a new one- his third roommate, to be exact. Things were thrown at him the second he entered whatever room he was in, but he merely caught the item and threw it back gently to whoever it belonged to. "Who's my roommate miss?" Paden asked the teacher he didn't recognize. She was probably the foreign politics teacher, considering how that was the one class he didn't take. She gave him a bright smile. "Um, I think the boy's... a commander-in-training? Something like that. You know Shae, right?" she said unprofessionally. Paden gritted his teeth. "No, I don't think I do." he forced every word out politely, so as to not offend this... this... (calm down Paden!) stupid-bitch-who-assigned-him-to-a-room-with-another-bitch! He walked away, taking several deep breaths in and out. "Fuck. Fuck me, fuck my life." Paden's use of the word "fuck" went on for several minutes. Why, out of all people, did it have to be that annoying sprite of a boy?!

Ooc: But I just finished them @Midnight Peace

((OOC: Oh, shit. Alright steering back onto track again, whoops))

Allen suddenly recalls that on the packet of papers that he got regarding the school, he had also come across the list of everyone's dorms.

"Oh! Wait, wait, I've got a list right here."

He reaches into his pocket, pulling out a stapled-together packet of sheets regarding the school, it's rules and policies, his schedule, and a comprehensive list of the school's dorms and their corresponding inhabitants.

"May I ask, what are your names?" He looks at the list, adjusting his glasses.

@Dibbydoo @The Unamed Character

"Mitch...." she said "Mitch Okanza...." She was a bit hesitant while saying the name, she seriously had to get used to saying it.

"What about you guys? What are your names?" She asked as she tried to get the topic off of her. She was also hoping the Headmaster put her name as Mitch and not Michi.

That would be bad if they had put her actual name but she was prepared with a way to get that subject changed but she didnt want it to happen.

Allen searches down the list of names, narrowing his eyes until-

"Aha. Mitch Okanza.... Youre roommates with... Rael Dubre Hillfelt in dorm six."

He tilts his head in the direction of his other acquaintance.

"And you. What's your name?"

He searched down the list, scanning for his name, room number, and roommate. He found himself, dorm seventeen, with Vladimor King. He wondered if he'd enjoy his time with this "Vlad" to some extent.
