Beginning today's data:
October 20th, the year 2045, 452 days have passed since the issue of γ€Œpeace decree」. Today's temperature... 32 Β°C. Humidity... 55%. Objectives left from yesterday... null.
Be on standby as we examine today's condition.

Whirring began to resound inside him, and not long after, steam escaped from between gaps on his body. A pair of camera lenses surrounded by blue irises began their warm-ups, soon followed by the stretching of his thumb-less hand. He could feel the cords of his left hand easing down, though the same can't be said for the spilled cords of his right hand buried under a seemingly recently dumped stash of mechanical parts. Perhaps, he could find a fitting replacement for his arm. The shadow of a barren factory loomed over the stashes. Its structure, some parts were left crushed down into debris, with holes filled by vines of pale yellow. The dust from the debris never really ran out, even after countless winds brushing past the area.

Ding, a sound notifying him of his completed check-up rang inside his head.

Report for today's condition:
Lack of the right hand from palm to below shoulder area. Overdue repairment for hearts, please head to the nearest roid-medic. The residue of the L0d05 substance has left your blood crystallized for 40%. A wild virus...

From the first recital of the damage on his body, the android had curtly nodded for every detected damage. And upon reaching the end of the report, he noticed that he had repeated the gesture 20 times. Not long after, these twenty problems were assigned for his today's objectives. The codes, ever so awake, urged him to complete today's tasks. And yet, some variables were soon detected clashing together. His system let out a siren of red only he could hear, and his eyelids fluttered down as emergency restart began.

Hmm hm hm, hmm hm, la la la...
Soft hums and gentle singing harmonized with the sound of bare feet treading along patches of dirt and grass. Just another carefree day of exploring for a young, merry girl. She searched for nothing in particular, merely wandering aimlessly to sate her restless body. Always bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, as they say. Never a dull moment for this little lady. No matter the many scrapes and bruises she'd collect, of which she had no small number, nothing seemed to deter her spirit and childlike curiosity for the world around her. Indeed, it was that very curious nature of hers that often led to nothing but trouble. Yet, that ever so slight chance of discovering something new and exciting, in her mind, was well worth the risk of any danger.
Violet eyes caught sight of a large, dilapidated building in the near distance. She paused her steps for a moment. A blink or two and a tilt of the head later, and she was off, quick as a rabbit. Such a mysterious looking structure simply demanded her immediate attention! Once she'd gotten close enough to her destination, her run slowed to a brisk walk, then, a complete halt. A huge, rusted metal door stood before the girl, barring entry. A bizarre, electronic square with an image of a hand on it sat on the wall next to the door, its faint, blue light flickering on and off. Without hesitation, she placed her hand on the square. It turned a bright red, and began making loud, continuous beeps. As soon as she removed her hand, the beeping ceased, and the light changed back to its previous blue. Moments passed, and the massive door slowly slid open.
Caution thrown to the wind, as per usual, she merrily made her way inside. The passing breeze began to stir up nearby debris, prompting the girl to lift the oversized, white neck of her sweater over her face to avoid inhaling anything harmful. She continued her tune from earlier, looking down at her feet every so often to ensure there was nothing on the ground that could harm them. On her left leg were white bandages, wrapping all the way from her thigh down to the balls of her feet. Many of her fingers were wrapped up in a similar fashion, covering various pricks and cuts. Just as one wound began to heal, another would inevitably show up on her body. A consequence of her klutzy, reckless nature. But so long as she had a needle and bandages, she had no reason to worry. Oh, and her precious flower, of course! The beautiful white flower always kept tucked behind her ear was very, very special to her. If something were to ever happen to it...
She wandered about for a bit more, her own footsteps and hums being all there was to break the otherwise deafening silence. Eyes down at her feet, she began to notice many strange things littered about the floor. Bizarre, mechanical-looking things, scattered everywhere. Following the trail, she arrives at an entire pile of robotic parts. Curiosity killed the cat, they say. But she wasn't a cat, so surely she'd be fine! Careful as to not step on anything, she tiptoed her way closer. Eyes widened at the sight of a boy lying amongst the pile, and without a moment's hesitation, she rushed over to him.
It didn't take long for her to notice the boy wasn't quite human. Moving aside some of the junk that buried his right hand, she was a bit shocked to find it missing, leaving only strange cords spilling out of his arm. But android or not, there was no way she could just leave him be. Kneeling down, the girl leaned over him, fluffy, black locks of hair falling over her shoulders. Slowly, she reached out and put a hand on his shoulder, shaking him gently. Concerned as she was, she didn't want to risk injuring him any further than he'd already appeared to be.
"Hey, hey! Please, wake up!"

Initial restarting completed. Putting full restoration on hold, please search for external help.

The shake, as gentle as done, managed to sway his head to the side. At the movement that the system deemed unrelated with the slight, steady turbulence from the ground, a pair of grey eyelashes fluttered to a rise, welcoming the person, and possibly the owner of the hand, the sight of lenses acting as pupils. The pair rolled in and out, trying to make clear of the person's face. Though still a half-blur, yet the sight at the moment managed to leave him frozen. It evoked a scene adorned with familiarity. A scene captured at a place in the distant past, with someone dear for the past him. A moment away before he turned into a pawn on the battlefield. With a tremble, his left hand had risen to the air with a smile stretching just a touch.

"My lady... There you are."

As the lenses managed to remove the remaining blurriness, the android's face contorted into a taut as his hand stopped mid-air, though it didn't take long for gravity to lower it. The clarity displayed showing the sight of a white ornament and a pair of violet irises gave a sense of familiarity, the different shape of the ornament, the difference in the glimmer of her eyes, along with the curtains en noir that framed her face, however, made his smile gone.

He had hoped that the girl before him wouldn't take the blame on herself; if anything, the fault should be on him entirely. A code that was built inside him to project the feeling of longing, he had long realized was triggered by the number of days he hadn't seen her. Never had he thought a similar scenery would be the thing that had him act up.

"My apologies, it seems I-"

Detected sudden change on air pressure, please be-

At the warning issued by his system had him cut his apology, a frantic "duck down!" was shouted to warn the girl from the incoming bullet from her left.

Elated by the sight of blue irises, the girl's expression shifted from concern to joy in a mere instant. "You're okay! Oh, thank goodness!" She chirped. In her excitement, she hadn't seemed to notice his staring. Much too concerned with trying to stop herself from crying tears of pure happiness. Quite the overreaction for a mechanical boy she had never seen before in her life, but perhaps reasonable for one with such an empathetic heart. Indeed, in his current condition, saying he was 'okay' may have been a bit of a stretch, to say the least. But to see he was not as far gone as she had feared was by itself enough to soothe her worries.
Glad as she were to hear his voice, the words he'd uttered left her a tad confused, head tilting to the side with a blink. Perhaps he had hit his head at some point prior to their meeting? Had that been so, then they would already have something in common! Much of her old memories were fragmented, bits and pieces scattered about her mind. According to her father, she'd been careless while playing alone and ended up hitting her head bad enough it caused a bit of amnesia. Not quite severe enough to make her forget herself, or her dearest papa, but just enough to turn most everything prior to her awakening into a mere blur in her brain.
A sudden shout escaped from the boy, his warning reaching her ears not a moment too soon. She let out a startled yelp, managing to dodge the passing bullet by a single hair. But in her frantic movement, she had ended up plopping herself down right on top of him. "I-I'm sorry! I didn't hurt you, did I?!" Her apology was panicked, but the worry in her trembling voice was apparent. Even as her own life was so blatantly endangered, she had still found a way to put another before herself. Such a selfless, reckless attitude would surely cost her dearly someday. Be that as it may, she could not change her own heart, no matter the grave danger it would incur...
