The year is 2025, the country - USA. Mages and Magical creatures still live in secret. Over the years, the question has naturally been raised as to handling orphans and any other young people who can't or won't keep up the masquerade. An undisclosed location, the grounds of which can only be entered and exited by use of magic, houses unglamorable and rebellious magical youth between the ages of 14 and 18. Hawthorn Manor is a more recent addition to a system that wishes to maintain a good relationship with a government that threatens to reveal their existence should they break any treaties.

They'd probably be staff members, but yes, you can have characters that are older. You could also have siblings or parents that visit due to legal requirements, but they would not usually live there.
