Her former husband and her divorced when her children were just six years old due to his infidelity and he remains one of the only people she will bad-mouth. Two years ago after the untimely death of her brother and sister-in-law, she also took in her niece Isabel; the four of them now live a duplex together with her and Isabel on one side and the twins on the other. After a 5.7 magnitude earthquake re-opened the town's old mines (causing monsters and creatures of all manner to escape) she put an ad in the newspaper of nearby cities asking for newcomers to join the town with free housing available to adventurers who can clear the mines.

    History:
    The Hensley clan prides itself as one of the pioneering families of Havenshire, producing generations after generations of physicians who has devoted their lives into serving the local community. As a proud member of the family, Walter dedicated his younger years nose-deep in books and hoarding academic achievements. Esteemed as a prodigy, he was accelerated a couple of times and was eventually sent to the Capital to pursue a degree in Medicine by the age of 21. There, he met the love of his life - a bright and lovely woman by the name of Marigold Fletcher who chipped away at his stone heart.​

    After finishing their education, the young couple returned to Havenshire and took over the family clinic after the retirement of Walter's father. It wasn't long before Walter and Marigold got married and welcomed a daughter, Rose Hensley, whom they raised in a loving household. Although, the family was not without its flaw - Walter, especially. Obsessed with the idea of continuing the Hensley legacy, Walter strongly pushed Rose to follow in his footsteps, denying her love for arts in favor of medicine. One night, Walter found Rose's hideout, a makeshift art studio set up in some shack by the woods. In a fit of rage, he stormed and ransacked the place, yelling about how much of a disappointment his daughter turned out to be. The next morning, Rose was nowhere to be found.​

    As it turned out, Rose has eloped with an adventurer whom she had been secretly meeting in the woods. While Marigold was distraught, Walter remained bitter and angry, prattling about how that foolish daughter of his would eventually come home begging to be taken back. Alas, she never did, and despite all their best attempts, they could never find her. In the end, all he had was Marigold and the letters Rose would send her mother about her adventures, attached with scenic portraits of her own creation.​

    Sadly, Marigold grew weaker over the years and passed at the age of 50. Without his wife and daughter, Walter knew that the family legacy was done for. Despite the kindness of the townsfolks, the old man has trapped himself in a towering and unbreachable wall. He reveled in his lonesomeness.​

    At least, that was until ten years later, when a letter reached him. One from Rose, his estranged daughter. "Father, by the time you've read this, I have joined David and mother in our next adventure above. I'm sorry for not being there with you after mom's passing, and I'm sorry for not living the life you wanted. I know there's a lot of things you want to say to me, and believe me, I have a lot of things to say to you too but sadly, I'm too weak to make the trip to Havenshire. Looks like mom and I got the same thing. Funny how that works, huh? Maybe I should have talked to you more. Maybe I should have replied to that one letter of yours. But it's too late for all of that now, right? It's too late for us... however, it's not too late for you and your granddaughter. Peony. I gave her your address, she should be arriving not long after this letter. Father, despite everything that has happened, I know that you've always had deep love for our family. History:
The Gilchrists of Havenshire..... A history longer then Lachlan would dare listen to again. He's heard the spill so many times beyond counting it's rather torturous for him. The age old business of passing down skills, tricks and talents of the trade, Carpenters, the lot of them from Lachlan and his many brothers to his father before him, to his grandfather before that and so on up the line I shant put you through it's long and tiresome history to repeat. Meanwhile his mum was a homemaker and talented hair dresser when she chose to be as were his many sisters seemingly..... All some form of creative, huh?
Well, you see, Lachlan Donal Gilchrist born somewhere between the middle and youngest children of the bunch, a whopping total of fourteen children and thirteen siblings by his count. Yes Fourteen can you imagine? Lok would swear he was descended from rabbits he would, yes sir or mayhem or them.... It didn't stop there either! It was seemingly a family requirement to birth so many children as his family tree of which was innumerable to him would show. Truth be told he was the second youngest of them all, yet still quite the gap between himself and his kid sister.
Always a rebellious sort and touch hardheaded as they all were really. If not for his dear old mum they'd all of destroyed and rebuilt their home a thousand times over with their many fights and throwing of fists, wrestling about when things went awry and tempers flared as they often did, a fiery lot the Gilchrists. But as much as they fought one another they were a strong and loving bunch. Never to take a harsh word towards their kin nor ignore the needs of others always happy to help better someone's day or time of need even if just a little.

They were a fiery, loving and working class bunch that were proud, honest and brutal when crossed. Still humble enough and kept so by each Gilchrist to the next willing to always humble each other quick if ever seeming too big for their britches and swelled heads getting too heavy. Lachlan was very little to differ from them either, even his creative nature and talents weren't so different to the others just a different sort of creative really. They all had something to seemingly allow for creative flare from time to time. Carpenters & Hair stylists being the main theme of them all and their creative outlets.

A former wanderer seeking a change after becoming of age, Lachlan went to college, enlisted there after and traveled the world a bit before a sense of responsibility and family called him back home to Havenshire. Help him mum run the family business and property as his father became a bit too reckless and heavy on the drinking to be relied upon. Oh still capable to work, still does, but too many delays and bad habits getting the better of him leaving Lachlan the only non married and family a busting Gilchrist left well, outside of his kid sister of course and it better remain that way for some time! Else he might have something to do and say about it after all. Nonetheless Lachlan returned home, once more back and trapped in the family business of being a carpenter while his mum did her thing, his kid sister did hers and finished school. While he'd takeover for his father who was now essentially semi retired and left to drink at the tavern, tell old and terrible jokes well outdated by this time then off to home to apologize and appreciate his dear godsend of a wife.... A regular day and night for him it seems now. Though he still had his moments and wasn't all bad, but Lachlan was technically and reliably the man to go to for getting things done.... Unofficially the Gilchrist in charge now where carpentry is concerned.

Oh boy and how he wouldn't have seen that day coming during his younger days.... Especially when and after he left, different dreams and aspirations back then and still.

A witty & easily bored lass with a big heart and equal temper to match. Considered a tomboy much of her childhood. Now a chill and laid back seamstress & fashionista of sorts in Highbridge along with her younger sister Isla. Both respectively married with kids. A fairly good and strong relationship with her siblings & parents.)

11th Child- Logan (The ever and endless ball of fiery energy with a tendency to slack off and 'Supervise' Gilchrist to date. Despite his slacking & supervise tendency he's a talented carpenter in his own right, 'Invested' as he calls it with his brothers Craig, Colin & Angus their own expansion of Gilchrist and Sons Carpentry Co in Highbridge. Though still pitches in when convinced one way or another and when needed. Considers himself an entrepreneur & investor rather than a simple carpenter, perhaps the most eccentric and appearance heavy Gilchrist to date as well. Occasionally caught in seemingly harmless cons and schemes that forne require bailing out from his brothers or sisters pending the situation. Formerly a ladies man wanna be with some bad habits where women were concerned and their boyfriends/husbands.... He's now settled down with his wife and children. Maintains a stressful due to his own habits and tendencies yet close relationship with his siblings and parents. The most likely to get in trouble for schemes, work habits and women in one way or another especially during school thus his troublesome & headache inducing reputation for all involved.)

12th Child- Elsie (The second youngest and fourth overall daughter of Bonnie & Graham who's middle name was a compromise between the two and their parents, Ailean to be exact named after a distant relative on the MacDougall side of the bloodline while Elsie was from the Gilchrist side namesake. She's a modest and yet fiery lass who'd knock your block off then immediately see to your scrapes and bruises to nurse you back in showing no hard feelings or grudges. A complicated reputation in school a even mix of trouble and sweet with her fair share of fights in the academy yards. She's a tight relationship with her younger brother Lachlan especially given their closeness in age while still having a close relationship with all her siblings and parents. She's now married with kids and is a nurse over in Appleton, a small but busy town west of Havenshire. )

13th Child- (Lachlan Donal, the youngest son and second youngest child of the G14. A singer/musician/songwriter & writer that never was.... Always dreamed of and inspired to be, still does but for his own reasons and that of his family's sake was put aside for a return to Havenshire and carpentry. Essentially taking over unofficially the Gilchrist & Sons Carpentry Co and their original location back home, saving it from bankruptcy and closure due to his fathers own falling behind on work, payments to accrued debts and becoming a far less reliable version of himself as he favors a semi retired and drinking more phase in his life. Though he's not bad as it may sound but still not great either. Lachlan is considered the most balanced of all the sons, once considered to have quite the potential when in his right mind, though still as fiery if not capable of being the most fiery and stubborn of all the Gilchrists when he wants to be or triggered/pushed too far. But as fiery as he is, he's just a equally bright and sensible with a impressive work ethic, memory and knack for creative solutions to problems. 'Unless they are personal.... Then he's a wreck of himself and others' Always the hard working and reluctant to be yet always relied upon responsible one among the boys. Lok is a mixed rep in school but quite the mouth and handful himself too often his trouble for one thing or another whether it's verbal or physical related. He's a estranged and difficult feud and relationship with his eldest brother, Alasdair. But a very close and protective relationship with the rest of his siblings especially Elsie who he's the closest to in terms of age and bond. Also with his kid sister Laurie Beth, of whom he's considered a great and terrible influence on at times. His mouth and sarcasm rubbing off a bit too much, while his scheming, silver tongued & witty, quick thinking charm to get out of trouble and such also has passed on to her)

14th Child- Laurie Beth (The youngest & most adored by all among the G14. LB is easily considered the most book worm centric and aloof of the clan, yet also the brightest and still fiery in her own right who's taken much influence and habits from her elder brother Lachlan in various ways besides the family traits you could say they all possess in common. She's a student in Havenshire and occasionally finds herself in some mischief at times. Bringing about a Slight Gilchrist esque reputation in school but still seen as a quiet and sweet girl with quite the brain, considered the smartest of the family and most likely to have greatest success & accomplishment after school in her family. Easily the favorite and apple of their eye to her parents and grandparents, while still beloved and adored by each of her siblings to whom she remains close.)

    Appearance: A tall man, muscular but at the same time lanky. His eyes are a bright silver that seem to shine in the night, with hair that matches it. Many would think he was an older man given the silver hair, but it was simply what he was born with. When he returned home, his once slightly scarred body had been horribly damaged. Scars now litter his body, with the most visible one being that lightning or branch like scar from the top of his forehead that creeps down to below his shirt. These scars still hurt and he constantly dresses them both to hide and to help relieve some of the pain that hey seem to bring at random points. He doesn't enjoy letting people see his body, and remains covered rather heavily even during hot days. A mix of shame, embarrassment and repulsion, the only thing he likes about his appearance are his feline like eyes.

    Personality: Compassionate, dutiful, businesslike, he has a cold gaze that does not match his warm heart. A silent man that speaks from time to time, but tends to observe more than interact. While he's not the best conversationalist, he does try his best- But it tends to be difficult as his expressions rarely differ. Happy, sad, angry, or confused it's almost the same cold glare- Only his children seem to be able to tell exactly what his expressions mean without needing to think about it or ask.

    History: During his late teens and early 20s, Quill was an accomplished adventure. A man that would join different parties from time to time to go on any and every adventure he could get his hands onto. He was a wild one, easily to excite, hot headed and always gungho without ever second guessing his next move. He was a man that new varying martial arts and was capable of using basic magic due to an enchanted weapon his friend had gifted him. This friend of his was an accomplished witch, who had warned him time and time again to not be too reckless when he goes out on his travels but such words went unheeded. As both him and her boyfriend would leave almost as soon as they returned to town (not that she was any better as she often went on adventures with them).

    By the time he was 25 he had become an renowned adventure, along with his friends Hunter and Danae. He remained within Havenshire for a year time, a poor attempt settle down and build a life of a common man. He did try, but all he managed to do was buy a nice house on some decent property, however the ink wasn't even dry before he left the town once more. Only giving a swift goodbye before vanishing, this time alone and without any true destination in mind.

    10 years.

    That's how many years passed till he was ever seen again.

    It was a freezing night, a terrible blizzard had hit the town making the roads near impossible to travel. Yet it was this night that Quill dragged himself to the front steps of his old friends home. Banging on the door, practically a dead man walking. When Danae opened the doors, she was shocked- Not only to see him after all these years, but to see he was far from alone. Two children on his back, one in his arms, two struggling to remain standing by his side. He was weak, but they were worse. They were frostbitten, each one of them were concerningly malnourished and a plethora of other injuries. The moment the warmth of a home hit him, he passed out, just in time for Hunter to catch him.

    His return brought a lot of eyes and attention as many had assumed he was long since dead given the lack of communication. For him to return? With children? And a shell of the youthful man that he once was? It was jarring, and he didn't give details, or rather....he couldn't. Any attempt to speak about what happened rendered him faint, or physically ill.

    That was the last time he ever went on an adventure.

    Now scarred, a staff with no power, and five children that refused to leave his side. He settled down. Taking the house that he had bought and over time expanding it from a simple home to a tavern. Making it the most successful one in the town, providing foreign dishes, warm lodgings and a place for the people to congregation for any kind of merriment. More importantly, he made it a home for these lost children, who he has and will continue to protect with his entire being.

    Chandra’s skin is as dark as sun-scorched earth, his cheeks furrowed by the kisses of its rays. His long black hair, often messy but always patiently gathered in a bun, don't even try to hide those freckles and his friendly, always lively smile. Not even his soft linen or light cotton clothes, always unbuttoned, pretend to hide his imposing and massive build, born from years of hard work on the ranch. Numerous tattoos decorate his body, especially his chest and arms. There are few oriental religious symbols, more often natural motifs such as stars, clouds and moons that furrow his skin as if it were a night sky. The style is geometric, linear, devoid of nuance and three-dimensionality.​

    Chandra has his own unquestionable philosophy and ironclad opinion: every animal under his care is a traveling companion, considered as people. Therefore, it deserves every respect and killing is not allowed, at least on his ranch. Every animal raised, even the youngest and most unruly, seem to love Chandra affectionately, following him as if he were a mystical shepherd. Viki, or Aghnya, a cow, is one of the animals that constantly follows Chandra, rummaging calmly and secretly evaluating each customer between one tuft and another.​
    Leaving aside this apparently strange decision of his, Chandra is an extremely cheerful, jovial person. His needs and requirements do not go beyond the boundaries of his farm, of respect between men and beasts. He always seems busy with his ranch, but is available for any eventuality and loves to talk until he is hoarse. Chandra will offer you all the products of his work and his animals, a nice hot milk and some delicious chai. In short, there is always a place at the table for you!​
    History:
    He grew up among animals, friends and companions in mischief since he was little. Roosters, chickens, bulls, buffaloes, cows, dogs and cats, even camels and rodents to name a few. A childhood that, although poor, with parents dedicated to hard work far from home, never left him lacking anything under the care of his lovely grandmother Aditi. With the untimely death of his parents, Chandra went to work in the same squalid factory. He scraped together a few pennies which allowed him to make few trips. In one of them, he met Tara. His beautiful Tara. They had three children together, then, well, a divorce. He gathered all with him: his last savings, his children, his dear grandmother, moving to Havenshire at the first opportunity.​
    He never regretted any of his choices, making his ability to reinvent himself and his industriousness his strong points.​

    • The cow's official name is Aghnya (Anya). However, everyone calls the animal Viki, including the owner himself. The nickname was given by Chandra's daughter, Kali, when she was little.

But a small production and original works based on a fictional and light hearted version slash parody of THE William Shakespeare & sword that ultimately had big hopes and dreams of becoming a smash hit. Well, all seemed fine i tell you until a certain financial backers second cousins sisters friend of a friend's husband and their mistress got involved.... The mistress was a flirty minx and I was a man after a good time, well, harmless good anyway, before you know it I'm caught without pants in a closet with said mistress and that man's wife .... So anyway here I am in Havenshire running a general store with my two annoying cousins after some inherited fortune they came with strings attached, one being we had to share and invest in some business together.... Dreadful! I bucking hate it! Have you met those mugheads? They're insufferable they are! And me, an actor that's been cruelly punished for being a man without pants at a bad time? and well yes, maybe there was that one pregnancy scare, and maybe a few other sorted details. That's not really important. What is is that.... I mean But really? Me? A shopkeep? My talents are wasted here.

Anyways, Chip Clamato from Jacks Square in New Harbor, once worked in theatre as a production assistant turned manager that ultimately didn't end well .... Now he's part shop owner and inheritance darling in Havenshire with his cousins Doran Salt and Victor Plenty.

History: A man from towersby in New Harbor, Vic once posed and claimed to be a Vicker in a small town back home, believing it would give him free room and board as well as food and decent pay without him having to do a thing. He thought it was absolutely genius and the perfect job while wondering why nobody else does this if not everyone. Completely and ignorantly overlooking the actual details of the job, it's serious and religious nature as well as the weekly sermons and etc he was expected to do. Details he learned as he went about the job and on the spot from others of the church, claiming no one ever told him this when he interviewed for the position although the actual details of his getting the job and how that came to be are far more muddied and complex mixed with confusion, luck, timing and mistaken identity of which he also ignored believing it was there accent and foreign language just getting his name wrong. So, again in true Vicker Ratio fashion, he merely spoke from clippings he took out of the newspaper each week and mixing them into religious texts and bits he could recall from his childhood. Sometimes and miraculously so they seemed to go without a hitch and rather perfectly and beautifully if odd .... Buying him time before he was ultimately found out and the harsh reality set in. Aligning perfectly with again lucky timing of a inheritance to be shared with his cousins Chip Clamato and Doran Salt. Now he's crossed the sea and arrived in Havenshire just in time to avoid a potential crucifying and burning at the stake for his apparent scandal of mistaken identity and fraudulent posing of a Vicker back in a unnamed small town outside New Harbor.

Other: •During their childhood & teen years Doran & Victor put on a long running series and team of their own production and make called *Salt & Pepper* a buddy cop/private investigator duo that solved fashion crimes alongside their younger cousin, Clam who served as their office assistant and secretary with a knack for pointing out the occasional keys to solving their cases. Which is often referred to in later years as Vic will often call Doran, Salty as a slight dig and reference to their old routine and banter as kids in their self delusionalized claims of their smash hit and massively popular to the point it had to be cancelled before completely taking over the sitcom scene and Torrywood lights and industry.... Series aptly titled *Salt & Pepper*

•Somehow was accepted into a highly prestigious, picky college back home and graduated not with honors mind you.... But did graduate. Often highlights this accomplishment but with far more embellishment and falsehoods compared to the truth of it all.

•Despite his role he rarely does anything with the shop and can hardly be trusted to go an hour of doing so without something going terribly wrong. While he claims it proposterous that such a thing was his fault or could ever be considering his status.
