The daily prophet newspaper rustled in the hands of Prefect McKenzie Floyd as he folded it over to display the front page headline. He shook his head solemnly, his fellow Hufflepuff prefects on the edges of their seats where they sat in the open carriage room. What was once a booth filled with mirth was now in silence, their eyes fixated on the bold letters spelling out their childhood hero's name.
HARRY POTTER: THE BOY WHO LIVED FOUND DEAD IN LONDON HOME
It was not curiosity that hit the Wizarding World at this time as they mourned one of their heroes. What marked the end of an era begins the starting of something new. This was the first year Hogwarts would welcome First Years who would never get to meet the infamous Harry Potter on the castle grounds. It was not something anyone anticipated. Everyone thought he would live as long as Dumbledore had, and while Harry had grown quite old, he was still too young in their hearts.
Eleven year olds from all around the British Isles have been sent the infamous letter of acceptance into Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Diagon Alley is once again filled with excited students both old and new as they scurry about to gather the items from this year's items and equipment list. The world, despite the tragedy that fell upon them, was in a golden era of peace and prosperity.
That is, until the Wizarding World faces a challenge that brings itself to the heart of Hogwarts and shakes the foundations of how their world operates.

Hello everyone! @NessieAlways and I are excited to reboot our Harry Potter roleplay called Lumos Maxima! This roleplay will be detail oriented, requiring at least 3+ paragraphs per post. The roleplay will begin at Platform 9 and ¾ and will follow the First Years as they embark on a magical journey of a lifetime.
We, as the GMs, have spent over a year in collaboration to create the content that will come from this roleplay. The idea is to go through each year with our players from their first year to their final year at Hogwarts. We want dedicated players who have proper grammar, diction, and are willing to write at least one detailed post per week for this roleplay.
Due to the nature of Harry Potter roleplay being so popular, we are going to be fairly particular about who we accept. Once the thread is open for CS submissions, we will allow a one week period for interested players to fill out and post their CS on the thread. Once it is closed, we will go through each CS to determine which players will be a good fit.
