Fantasy Hagawa Academy for Demon Hunters: Always Accepting!

TheHufflepuffRabbit

Weird Bunny Lurker
~The Assembly Hall~

It was a sunny day at the school, and all students were gathered around to prepare for the first term. The headmaster, Professor Hagawa, walked onstage, shuffling his notes as he walked. All the students who were talking fell silent. All eyes were on him.

"Welcome," Professor Hagawa said in his quiet but serious voice. "To another year at Hagawa Academy. It is my great pleasure to welcome those of you who have returned for another year and our new students to our wonderful abode. Now," He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "I want to remind you all that demon hunting is a very important thing on this fragile earth. It is the utmost duty for all students to learn and take up this trade as a new generation of hunters. But that isn't all I want you to do. I want you to make friends, consider this a normal high school, leaner, and most importantly--"

CRASH! The windows broke. Professor Hagawa looked at the creature that had interrupted them--a demon. Without a word, he drew his sword.

"First years....you're in for a treat. Second, third, and fourth-year students...show everyone what you have learned so far."

------

Alistor McPhearson jumped at the sound of a loud CRASH. He looked up to see a large red demon a foot away from his face. Huuuuuh?! On an impulse, he drew his own sword and ran away to get some distance. Looks like he had to attack it...being a second-year he knew the drill.

Marciella had been sitting in the crowd, legs crossed, and her attention on Professor Hagawa. She had the pleasure of attending this school for three years, this being her third. That being said, she had heard the speech and gone through the motions two times prior, but tried to at least appear interested anyway. It would be rude otherwise and make a bad example for the newer students. Some however looked bored out of their minds anyway. That was something that always irked her. People came to a school like this expecting excitement to fill every aspect of their life but even demon hunters had to do things like take care of the laundry, go grocery shopping, and, yes, listen to orientation speeches.

Marciella herself quite enjoyed things like this. It left time for thinking and it gave her something that was so hard to find nowadays: Peace and quiet. Yes, the sweet serenity of nobody opening their mouth and no problems to worry about. Of course, there was always something to worry about but one should not spend all their time worrying anyway. That was what Marciella believed.

Yes, peace and quiet... Or, not. Just as the headmaster was concluding his speech, the windows shattered and a shower of glass rained down on the floor. Some panicked. Marciella shook her head with agitation. Great, first day and there was already a mess. She was glad she was not the one who had to pick up all that glass. Rising calmly from her seat, Marciella withdrew her twin pistols from the straps located on her legs and spun them around her index fingers before holding them properly. Might as well have fun with it. Then she set her gaze on the demon at hand.

Geir sat quietly, listening to the speech that the Headmaster was giving. Everyone was quiet, except for those who whispered back and forth to each other. She was, to say the least, bored out of her mind. Make friends? That was the last thing that was on Geir mind. Nothing about this was normal. They were hunting demons for crying out loud. She began to play with a bit a loose thread that hung from her sleeve, waiting for the speech to be over. She was getting restles, Geir never enjoyed sitting still for long amounts of time.

Just as she was about to jump out of her seat at the end of the speech, there was a crack. It was loud. The sound came again, this time bringing the shattering of glass with it. The window on the far end of the hall broke, shattering into a million pieces. A demon blew into the hall. Finally, something to do! Geir jumped out of her seat and withdrew her twin daggers, twirling them in her hands. Let the fun begin.

The speech was as it usually was, and he still had yet to forget it. Damian's arms had been crossed over his chest in wait as he listened, paying enough attention to not be considered disrespectful. Well, you know, up until the point a god damn demon burst through the window.

Great. Greeeaaaaat.

Some of the students - mainly the experienced ones - had sprung to their feet in either excitement or just out of refined instinct. There were some first years that had done the same, but they were by no means as light or as stable as the others.

And of course, there were some that completely toppled from their seats.

Damian was one of the more calm individuals there, unfolding his arms and simply rising to his feet with something like an annoyed sigh. It wasn't that this thing annoyed him per say, it was more that... Well, he was just an annoyed person. Reaching back over his shoulder, the raven grabbed at nothingness right up against his spine and between the shoulder blades. There was a flare of corrupted onyx - one that startled the first years behind him - and drew forth Leviathan, giving it a spin in his refined hold.

His rose eyes took on a glint of red for only a small moment.

It took Alistor some time to regain his balance. He had recently been knocked to the floor by that....thing....and had to search the floor for Excalibur. When he did, he breathed a sigh of relief. He swung his sword at the demon, taking out one of its arms. A tiny first-year girl yelped and leapt out of the way. "Sorry!" Alistor called after her. The demon swung its massive arm once again, groping throughout the classroom, trying to find Professor Hagawa. It finally found Alistor and tightened its grip around him, swinging the new second-year around like a rag doll. Alistor winced, Excalibur now glued to his side.

"MCPHEARSON, WHAT ARE YOU DOING--GOOD JOB, DAMIEN--right, students, so one of our students has been lifted by a demon," Professor Hagawa addressed the assembly. "What, as a classmate, do you do?"

All eyes were now on Alistor. Alistor's ears reddened.
"You take out the arm," he mumbled.

Welp. That was a thing.

Every part of him wanted to laugh out loud at his classmate, but there was a tiny shred that told him not to be a dick. So, he had to abide by that part instead.

Spinning Leviathan again, Damian burst from his location, charging ahead at the demon. Lifting the free hand, he directed the index finger like a gun and fired a small, rather ineffective fire ball of pastel red, orange, and yellow colors.

It wasn't intended to kill, only to stun and blind.

Leaping forward, he sliced through the arm at the elbow, snagging Alistor's wrist as he passed through. Pulling the brunet with him, Damian landed back against the polished assembly room floor, sword lowered in his opposite hand.

Someone else could have the kill for all he cared; a show off he was, but his scene was done and over with.

He turned his head, glancing at the other. "All good?" he asked in a smooth voice.

@femjapanriceball //assuming I read your thing correctly xD

Orientation was interesting at the least. It was just like the last to hears, but that didn't bother Lucas. Lucas had been at Hagawa Academy for two years now, and he is starting his third. Dang, time sure flys when you're not paying any attention. At least until a demon bursts through the window.

Lucas was sitting near the window, and his cat like reflexes kicked in, and he quickly jumped from his char to safety. He was suprised that a demon got into the school, since this is a demon hunting school, and you would think that they would keep demons out. Unless the headmaster did this on purpose.

One student got grabbed by the monster, and Lucas readied himself to save the boy, but it looks like someone beat him to it, darn. He raised his blade and charged at the wounded demon, next he jumped off of the ground and landed on its head. He then stated to repeatedly stab it, and whenever it tried to swat him off he would just dodge, or jump into the air.

Alistor didn't know what happened afterwards. All he knew was that his vision began to get spotty and, three seconds later, he was flying. The brunette, alarmed, clutched Excalibur to his chest. This has turned out to be some morning...His weight shifted slightly once he was on the ground. He took a moment to regain his balance (again), holding onto one of the foldable chairs. The headmaster was watching calmly, his sword at the ready in case things got out-of-hand.

Alistor then took his time to observe his savior. It was Damien, and he had just asked him a question. Alistor nodded silently. He raised his sword, prepared to attack. If only he had paint, then this would be easy.

Paint.

The brunette charged towards the demon, pretending Excalibur was a paintbrush. The demon was his canvas. Always the artist, he began attacking the demon's leg, carving a design into it.
"The masterpiece of masterpieces..." he said quietly. "Mona Lisa....!"

@Hoki

Geir danced around the demons legs, slashing at them with her daggers. She watched as a brunette boy charged at the legs of the demons. He left large slashes across it's legs. She jumped back, as the demon roared in the air.

(ooc: super short, sorry, I'm in a rush.)

Marciella Grace

Marciella aimed her guns at the demon and was about to shoot when quite a few other classmates jumped in before her. They were closer to the demon and that ran the risk of her shooting them instead. Who was she kidding? The chance was small and Marciella had good aim but she still didn't didn't think it was worth firing. A blonde boy had already stabbed the thing multiple times in it's head. A boy she recognized as Alistor was slashing at it repeatedly . And other students were soon joining in.

With a small sigh, Marciella replaced her guns to the holster straps and leaned against the wall, enjoying the display if anything. It was a pity too, it would have been fun to join in. There was always her voice but if she dared used it, it would affect a lot of people, not just the demon. Oh, well. There was always other demons. That was the problem wasn't it? Wouldn't it be nice if this was the very last demon? And after it was done, everyone could just pack up and go home? No more demon school. No more demons. Too bad that would never happened.

She made a mental note to try and catch up with some of her classmates after this was over. It was a new year after all but old friends stuck around. And there were new students which meant even more people to get acquainted with. Marciella hoped they would fit in nicely, not have many troubles. It was always hard coming to a place one was unfamiliar with, she knew, and silently wished the best for all of them.

Straightening simply after his Alistor-rescue mission, Damian decided he'd do one more little thing; he lifted a hand, a pastel rose glow overtaking his section of the room as swirls of fire gathered at his palm. With a burst, it struck the demon square in the back, stunning it and scorching it's back without burning the nearby students.

It would roar in pain - fire hurt after all - and the raven shot ahead again with the Leviathan ready for a jab. Damian pierced through its back so that the tip of the blade would erupt through its chest. Ripping the blade free, he put a hand on its shoulder and flipped himself over it, landing on the other side and away from the rest.

Even he couldn't resist a good fight.

Alistor looked up from his work. "Did it turn out to look anything like....WHAAAAAAA?! That is definitely not Mona Lisa!" He said irritably, putting his hands on his hips. He tilted his head. "Oh, now I see it. The nose is a little off, though.....oops....." The brunette looked up at the demon to see how the others were doing, and was alarmed to see the monster about to topple over. Alistor gasped and ran out of the way.

Danm I'm late as Shadow was running to the assembly hall think great this is perfect for the first day. Rushing through the schools campus trying to not be seen by any staff members finally sees the assembly hall he starts to slow down. Once he reaches the door he slowly and quitly as possible opened the door planning to sneak in so he won't be noticed but as he looks in side he find that a demon is falling down with multiple wounds and people around it. So it looks like me being late won't matter with a demon fight he thinks. So I should just move to a wall and look like I was here the hole time.

I silently watched the whole thing go down, first being the headmaster giving his speech for a brand new year at the acadamy, then a demon showing up through a window, then everyone pounding on at it like no tomorrow. Being a first year I didn't quite know what to do in a situation like this so I backed off for a bit while the more adept students took care of it. However while I was recollecting my entire visit to myself, the demon seemed to have fallen down next to me with a big thud, shaking every bone in my body. Deciding to chip into the moment I started pinning down its arms with ice to stop its thrashing. It seemed to be effective. But whilst I was doing so I looked at its wounds it had gathered from the other students, big open gashes, burnt flesh, and what appeared to be the Mona Lisa! A Mona Lisa with a very offsetting nose...... Whoever the artist I would have to shake their hand for even attempting to make such art on a moving target, even if the nose was crooked and weird.

Alistor watched silently as the demon was kept down by a first-year. He wasn't really sure what to do now. Finally, he walked over to the weakened monster, looking right into its eyes. After a while, he raised his right arm. "Sleep Inducement." The demon's eyes began to close. Alistor watched with a calm expression on his face before drawing back slowly. ".......I don't want to finish it off. Someone else can." He caught Professor Hagawa's eye. He looked impressed at the students' combined efforts. Then he folded his hands behind his back, waiting for someone to take the kill.

Oh, nobody was going to give the final blow to the demon? It was prime and waiting to be put out of it's misery, just asking for somebody, anybody to put a bullet or two between it's eyes. Well, Marciella figured she'd do it, at least get one of her bullets in the horrid looking creature. She pulled her pistols from the holsters again, the metal cold enough to seep through her gloves and chill the skin on her hands.

Taking a deep breathe, Marciella narrowed her eyes and pulled the triggers. Luckily someone had finally made an opening too. Nobody else would get shot. That was always a good thing. Marciella prized in calling herself a demon hunter, not a murderer. Two bullets whizzed through the air and a second later struck the beast in its head. Two bullets for two eyes. Where it's eyelids and eyeballs once rested were two bullet holes, oozing with the tainted blood of a demon.

With a satisfied smile, Marciella replaced the guns and walked over to the crowd of students. She looked down at the limp beast and kicked its body with the foot of her boot. Looks like it really was dead. How could it not be? Then again, Marciella had faced demons riddled with bullet holes before they finally fell. A waste of bullets if you asked her.

Kei had entered the school to a lot of commotion and was watching quietly from the sidelines what the students were doing. The way that they treated demons had suddenly made her feel somewhat nervous but she clapped quietly from the background, tossing her white hair over her shoulder, "Well played.." She mumbled to herself.

I watched as another student took the final blow to the demon with two bullet holes where the eyes should be. I didn't mind gore in a fight but it was often messy, causing me to often clean up after such events. Thankfully I didn't get a speck of blood on me, as I examined the demons new face.

After a hearty cold last stare to the now dead demon, I walked back towards to my seat and awaited for the headmaster to continue his speech now that the distraction was gone.

As I stand next to a wall I look over at the demon and notice that there is ice holding it down. Then I here some one say that some one should finish it off. After a minute or two he was about to pull his bow our but then he saw a girl draw duel pistols and fire finishing the demon as she was walking over he noticed a girl with white hair that was clapping he senced that she was extremely nerves then one might expect but put it down to not seeing this type of fight. She's going to need to get use to it this is a demon hunting school

Kei found a seat at the back of the room and sat down. She took a deep breath and was simply ready to listen, she wanted to blend in as much as she could and while she was at the school she might as well actually try to learn. She scanned her eyes around the room, looking at the other students and hoped that she would be able to fit in here.

The girl shot twice at the demon and Alistor felt a spray of blood coat his face. He sighed, sitting back where he had been, in the very back. He grinned uneasily at a white-haired girl who was nearby, sticking Excalibur back in his scabbard. She appeared to be shocked with the whole ordeal.

@Domxx

Professor Hagawa cleared his throat. "....Right. As I was saying, I hope you all have a brilliant year. In two days, you'll be receiving your teams for hunting. Please report to the office then. In the meantime, be sure to acquaint yourself to everyone here. You are dismissed."

When the person who started talking dismissed us I stayed in the back close to the shadows I was never good any living thing besides plants and animals. Everyone else started to create mobs. Probably friends getting back together or people who wants to join the more popular people some times these things just gets to me but i am going to wait to leave so I can get a fell for the people I'll see almost daily

@femjapanriceball

Kei shot a playful grin back at the boy, waving at him. She had kind of loosened up by now, telling herself that everything would be fine. She stood up and brushed herself off, tossing her long hair over her shoulder so that she could see. She moved slightly closer to the boy and stuck her small hand out towards him, "Hi, nice to meet you." She said cheerfully, grinning again.

Alistor checked to see if she was addressing someone else. Nope. Alistor took the girl's hand; he was still in shock, no thanks to being lifted by the demon. He smiled back. Maybe they would be teammates. "Hello," he said. "My name is Alistor." He looked at the demon, which was now on the floor. "That was a doozy," he commented.

@Domxx

Dismissed? Good, good.. He had no idea what he was going to do now, but at least they were free to go. Glancing around very briefly, Damian reached back over his shoulder and appeared to bloody stab himself between the shoulder blades with Leviathan.

But, with a flare of corrupted onyx, the sword was gone, back in the containment of the Outbreak.
