"What kind?" Alistor repeated. "Let's see...from what I've heard, he found the legendary Fountain of Youth when he was just sixteen. He's a genius, Hagawa. And a topic of gossip." He continued to fiddle with his sword's handle for a little longer. "I think that, other than the immortality, he's just a regular human."





"Made a friend, Mr. McPhearson?" Alistor turned around to see the headmaster looking curiously at him.





"Er....yes, sir."





"That's good." Professor Hagawa straightened his glasses. "You know what they say; the more friends you have, the more allies you have. And the more allies you have, the stronger you are. And I expect a lot of strength from you." He nodded at Excalibur. Alistor's eyes followed the immortal's movements; his expression was uncertain. "McPhearson. Your father felt the same way about this. Look at how far he went." Alistor nodded. Professor Hagawa patted his shoulder, a twinkle in his eye.

Estelle Jeon

Estelle headed for the Hagawa Academy with a positive attitude that day, despite being completely late to the beginning-of-the-year orientation and such. Though she didn't really mind, but at the same time felt somewhat guilty for it. She grabbed a lollipop from her pocket, which was her absolute favorite flavor of strawberry/cherry, and unwrapped it before popping it into her mouth, letting it sit in there for her to taste the bursting flavors of the fruits she was most fond of. Plus the fact that she could have sugar, which for her, was a good thing.

'Lollipops? Again? What are you, five?' a mysterious voice echoed into her mind.

Alarmed, Estelle glanced back and forth, though nobody was in sight. She had realized that she actually had the telepathic ability to respond, afterwards. In her defense, it was still something new that needed some time to get used to. Sort-of. 'No! I just happen to like these lollipops.... Erm... Who are you, and why are you able to talk to me like this?'




'Sigh. Seems like you have forgotten again. Well, I shall say that I am essentially a part of you. Now hurry along to class, no need to make a fuss about my existence. I know you will forget about me, and I have had enough of you for the next little while. Shoo, shoo. This conversation has now ended.'

Estelle paused in her tracks, blinking. First, this individual started a random chat with her, only to abruptly end it two seconds after. She stomped her feet onto the ground in a childish manner. 'I don't really remember you, but I will learn of your true self someday! Unless you are another fragment of my imagination, hmm.'

'...'

Estelle took a moment to think of all the happy things in her life, as her mood was restored once more. She skipped into the hallways of the school, cheerfully humming a tune to herself.

Kei listened attentively to what Alistor had to say and nodded her head in approval afterwards, "Ahh." She said, understanding what he had meant by "immortal."


Kei watched as the student and Professor interacted before bowing slightly and smiling at Professor Hagawa, "Nice to meet you Sir!" She said cheerfully, "My name is Kei!"

Professor Hagawa waved cheerfully at Kei before getting pulled aside (again) by Professor Blueblood. "Rei," he said in his monotone voice. "Stop avoiding me." Professor Hagawa's face darkened and the two of them walked off to have a private conversation. Alistor shrugged.


"That's Professor Blueblood, the Alchemy teacher. He's kind of mysterious. I wonder what he needs to discuss with Professor Hagawa." Then he chuckled. "Then again, it's none of my business."

Kei watched curiously as they walked away, "Hmm, I wonder.." She mumbled, half to herself, "Hagawa didn't look like he wanted to talk."


After staying silent for a minute Kei giggled, "It's not my business either but I'm too nosy for my own good!"


She tilted her head at Alistor, "What do you mean 'mysterious'?" She asked, finding all of this gossip about the teachers exciting.

"Well....I dunno. Professor Blueblood just.....he.....it's complex, he just....he has this....air to him....I mean...." Alistor bit his lip. "You know what, I'm sure it's not that terrible." He stood up and began to follow them.

Kei watched Alistor carefully, nodding after her spoke. As soon as he started to walk towards the other teachers she got very excited, "Are we going to follow them?!" She squealed in a partial whisper, she was always up for finding out new things while playing spy.


She tied her hair up into a ponytail so it wouldnt get in her eyes and followed Alistor.

Frankly he was surprised that she was asking him; after all, he was just standing there and greatly lacking in the "friendly air" most people had. Shrugging it off, he held her gaze with his rose one. "Damian Romero," he introduced simply, muttering a "nice to meet you" afterwards.
Another thing that surprised him was her ability to identify Tatsuya. Well, it wasn't like it was a big surprise and all, but even he hadn't asked what the guy was.


What did startle him, however, was the fact that should the male said yes, it would determine whether or not Damian should be concerned.


Even if there was no changing the ultimate outcome - thankfully Tatsuya didn't seem like nosy type, so it almost didn't matter.

"Buki? um... i guess you can and i smell human because i am. although... different, but still technically human." she was unsure how to react to someone calling her Buki after so long. she'd thrown away trying to be a normal person and started referring to herself like her creators did... 01. it felt weird being referred to as Buki again. "a pureblood huh? i've only seen one other pureblood before..." 01 didn't know if she should tell him she'd killed one of Tatsuya's kind, so she stayed quite about that part. "he wasn't as... calm as you seem to be." 01 glanced at Damian, was it her imagination or had she felt.. some sort of discomfort?

"Well.....yes." Alistor suppressed a smile and followed the two teachers to the Alchemy classroom, which was all but deserted.


".....Cannot hide it any longer, Rei, your immortality is becoming a threat," Professor Blueblood was saying.


"Yes, but—"


"But what? Like it or not, sir, you are a demon magnet."


"I won't do anything like that again, I promise."


"So it was you?" Professor Blueblood's eyes narrowed.


"No, it wasn't," Professor Hagawa said heatedly. "What are you talking about, anyways?"


"This." Blueblood rolled up his sleeve to reveal a scaly arm. Hagawa gasped in alarm. "Can't run away forever, Rei. It has risen once again."


"The Green Demon." Hagawa's eyes furrowed. "So the McPhearsons' death was no coincidence."


"No. Sadly, it wasn't." Professor Blueblood closed his black eyes, covering his scale-covered arm once again. "Neither was the deaths of anyone else. No. The McPhearsons were just the beginning."


Alistor was silent for a while. Then, horrified, he slumped to the ground.

Kei followed Alistor, stopping as they came to the room that the two Professors seemed to have gone into.


She listened to the whole conversation before her mouth dropped open. Demon magnet? Death? McPhearsons? Isn't that..? She looked over at Alistor to see that he was slumped on the floor. Her lips quivered with shock as she started to understand slightly.


"A-Alistor.." She whispered, although the shakiness in her voice could clearly be heard. She didn't want to ask. "W-What does this .. m-mean?"

Alistor was silent for a very long time. He had understood every word of what the Professors had said. And he didn't like it.


"My parents aren't dead," he said quietly, though his voice shook just as much as Kei's. "They're.....they're....." He blinked back tears. "But the Green Demon....that's practically the king of all demons....why....? Did it have to return?"

Kei kneeled down next to Alistor. Although she didn't understand much she knew the situation Alistor was in wasn't good. Her hands shook as she reached out to him but she gave him a small hug. The Green Demon...Kei thought she had heard that name from somewhere but it couldve been hundreds of years ago and she couldnt remember clearly so she tried not to think about it.

Alistor blinked through his tears. He was being hugged. Just like a few years ago, by his butler. He remembered the day that he realized that they would never return. Nonono! His parents would return one day, he just knew it! And everyone would be happy again. Alistor sobbed into Kei's shoulder at the very idea.

Kei jumped when Alistor started crying harder. "Alistor.." She mumbled softly, "Where are your parents?" She figured that she already knew the answer but she didn't want to assume. She knew that it must be hard for him...She knew the feeling.

"France," Alistor sniffled. "My father....he....he promised me to get me a souvenir from the Louvre. But—but that was over three years ago. I guess that it was a very hard mission, w-was it...."

Kei's eyes brimmed with tears. Not now, Kei. Don't remember them. Tears ran down Kei's face as she thought about her own parents. This is not your problem, why are you crying? She looked down at the floor, quickly taking her hair out of a ponytail so it could cover her face, hoping that Alistor wouldn't see. "W-We should leave, Alistor." She muttered, this time forgetting to whisper.

"Y-yeah, we should," Alistor mumbled.


"McPhearson! Miss Kai!" Blueblood had spotted them. Alistor froze. The Alchemy teacher looked the two of them over, then, clearing his throat, said, "Stay safe out there, both of you. McPhearson," He nodded at Alistor's sword. "Keep that artifact with you at all times. Understood?"





"Yessir."





"Miss Kai, I'd advise that you stay close to McPhearson. He'll prove as a useful friend in many ways." And just like that, Professor Blueblood walked away.

Kei quickly wiped away her tears and looked at Professor Blueblood. She listened to what he had to say before nodding but once he had left, she was confused. "What's that supposed to mean?" She said to herself. As she spoke the Sword Holder on her back started to glow. "Luka.." She whispered, reaching round and lightly hitting the holder before the glowing stopped. He's trying to tell me something.

The half Demon entered the academy since she was sent. She hummed quietly. She was tecnically invited. Anna looked at the the piece of paper she was given. ''Room 184..'' She whispered entering the room immediately to get settled. After getting settled, She sighed softly not knowing where to go next. ''Where else am I supposed to go next?'' She asked herself blinking a couple times. ''I'll wait to meet my room mate.'' Anna shurgged taking out a book of her and begins reading. Though she was Extreamly nervous about her speacies. What if someone asked her? So many questions crossed her mind. Putting that aside, Anna started putting her clothes away in the drawers of her side of the room and decorating a bit to make it feel like home.

Alistor shrugged, watching Professor Hagawa file out after Professor Blueblood. He smiled politely at the two of them, as though the conversation had never happened.


"Hey, your sword is glowing." Alistor pointed at Luka.

"Yeah." Kei chuckled nervously, "I wouldn't worry about it too much."


Luka started to glow again and the holder he was in started shaking slightly. "Luka!" She hissed, "Later." Kei knew that whatever Luka was trying to say was important but she didn't have time for it right now. "Lets go." She said to Alistor.

It'd probably be better to get this over with without having to be asked...


Shrugging lightly, he directed his gaze to 01 - or Buki, he hadn't really decided yet to be honest - nodding his head. "I'm just human," Damian said, "Nothing special."


Wow that really felt like a lie... And of all people to say that to it had to be the ones that could tell the difference; one way or another.


But his expression and body language did not change, showing nothing of his own internal thoughts whatsoever. He was good at that, at the very least. But Damian's gaze shifted over to Tatsuya very briefly, more out of mild interest and curiosity than anything.

Alistor got out his phone once again. "Let's see.....here's a good one. This is the dining room at my house. It took me over two hours to finish it."
