Rian

Rian wore a black leather skirt and a cold shoulder top with heels, it was the type of outfit that moved enough for her to look good dancing but also fit the overall look, she’d have to tell Suua good job! Suua had also done Rians hair, styling the bright red locks into a high pony tail with a black bow. Her makeup was simple as always with pale lipstick. It was a performance she was proud of overall, and even though she wasn’t that interested in performing... it felt nice having people know she was talented. Plus her moms we’re watching and for once Rian felt like she looked nice... and they looked so proud.

The boys were passable as well but Rians pure hatred for King made it hard to admit. Suua whined about the boys Rian couldn’t help but chuckle. Then the performance was over and they were so ready to go home when Jae took the mic. “Woah.” Rian instantly looked over to Tae. Poor kid... but didn’t Suua have a no dating rule anyways? But she couldn’t say no... both Jae and Suua were very good at a public appearance. She couldn’t; and of course she didn’t.

“Oh my...” Rian sighed and stood, “I’m going to see my moms off then I’ll meet you guys at home. Taxis coming to get us in like two hours right? I’ll see you before then.”

King

The past two months had kind of caused King to forget about the bet. It was just fun hanging out with a girl who wasn’t obsessed with his fame or his dad. The others weren’t like that either but Sora... Sora actually saw good in him. King was sure it was hard he could be... rough sometimes. But you try having your mother die and the courts hand you off to a superstar who doesn’t even want you. A man that forced various paternity tests. A man that King saw like three times a year and the rest of your time was spent with staff that tried their hardest but weren’t always there. It caused you to be a bit prickly.

The day of the performance King was actually kind of excited. At first he wanted nothing to do with a group but these guys weren’t too bad. He was wearing the black ensemble and his pink hair was freshly died and slickled back. He looked good, not that he didn’t usually.

Once the dance was over Jae took the mic and King turned back to look st him with a small smirk. This guy. Legendary. Suua was untouchable and Jae did it. But it also meant King was loosing the bet. Part of him didn’t care but the other part reared it’s ugly head and an idea hatched in his mind.

Sora. King looked over at her as she smiled at Jae and Suua. She was so pretty. King had been trying to ignore it but today when she was all done up for the show, she was gorgeous. It didn’t feel right including her in this but... it wasn’t really a lie? King did enjoy being around her, so it was fine right?

King watched as Tae ran off and smirked. That’s what you get. Karma for his mouth. Then his attention returned to Sora. He walked over to her and held out his hand, “Hey want to walk home with me. I wanted to ask you about that quiz from earlier this week, there was a question I didn’t get.” Here was his chance.

Jung

Jung had an AMAZING time performing. It was all he ever wanted from his group was just to do what they were in school to do. For the others that seemed a little hard sometimes. And his point was proven when Jae took the mic. “Jesus.” Jung sighed and rubbed his temples, looking over at Tae as the male quickly left the stage. How was this vacation going to be any fun?

Jung quickly stood to follow Tae, he didn’t want to guy to be alone right now. But what he saw was... concerning. Tae was drinking from a flask. Did he carry that around all the time? They were at school! Jungs inner good kid was screaming but another part told him someone else would be better to tell. He backed off and moved back inside.

“Hey Lee? Can I talk to you about something... it’s about Tae...”

Suua

The past two months had actually been kind of fun between practicing and hanging out with Jae. He had caused her to almost be over the heartbreak from Tae, though she really assumed that would never go away, at least it felt like it would never go away. The practicing had been brutal, Rian and Lee didn’t hold any punches. Suua worked hard on piecing together outfits that would make them really portray the mood of the song and she honestly felt like she had done it!! Overall the past months hadn’t sucked!

When it was finally the day of her performance Suua was a nervous wreck. Her long blonde hair was straightened and a bandana was tied around her crown. Heavy eyeliner and dark purple lips adorned her pale face. She was wearing a leather crop top with a pair of bejeweled shorts and stilettos. She looked damn good! So did all the girls!

After their performance the girls sat in chairs to the side of the stage along with other performers for the day, watching the boys as they were the last to go. “They’re actually pretty good.” Suua whined to her teammates quietly. When the boys were done Suua politely clapped and prepared to leave the stage and head home when suddenly Jae was on the mic. What was that silly boy doing?

Then her heart stopped. Instantly Suua looked into the crowed to see her mothers glaring eyes pouring into Jae and her father looking shocked. Shit shit. Beyond that girls were LITERALLY crying as were boys. Some cheered. But everyone EVERYONE stared at Suua. She couldn’t say no. And she didn’t want too! Her parents stupid rule had already ruined her friendship with Tae, she wouldn’t let them ruin another one.

Suua stood and gave a small bow and a nervous wave before a charming smile spread across her face as she approached Jae, taking his mic and looking up at him. “I would love that.” Her parents were going to kill her.

Suua

(reposted my earlier post because it disappeared. D: )

The bus ride to the bathhouse was long but Suua slept for most of it. Her phone was going off constantly in her purse but she chose to ignore it. It was no doubt her mother calling to scream at her for accepting Jae's confession. But what would yelling at her help? Suua couldn't go back now, too many people were Jae's fans! It was too under public eye already. The school blog was BLOWING up with comments aboutt he two of them. It was almost concerning how quickly people started rumors.

"Jae?" Suua yawned as the bus came to a stop, she had fallen asleep on his shoulder and blushed bright red. "I-I', so sorry! That's insanely embarrassing." Suua bowed her head to him slightly and stood up quickly, grabbing her pastel pink duffel and quickly shuffling off the bus. "Dammit Suua be normal." She whispered to herself as she stood outside the bus and waited for the others.

The bathhouse was the perfect vacation in her mind. Plus the school thought it was a good bonding activity for each group. The place was made up of a large clothed communal area with themed baths like green tea and coffee where on opposite sides of the bathhouse there were typical traditional baths for each of the genders. Then the group was staying together in a rustic cabin on site.

Jae-Ho

The couple was blowing up the internet. #koreascutestcouple was now a thing. A video of his confession was now for the world to see. Jae was good at what he did though, he already did the calculations and this would not fall back on him if things went wrong. The only way it would? If he admitted to this bet. But he wouldn't. Jae wasn't a good person, so he'd never admit to doing something so awful to two amazing girls. If he had to he'd put the blame on him, play the innocent victim card. Jae was a pro on tear on demand thanks to the acting lessons his parents had put him through.

On the way to the hot springs Jae's phone was blowing up so much he had to turn his phone on silent. Social media fans, social media 'friends'. Jae never gave his number to anyone but people who needed it like his parents or his agent. King was the only other person that had his person number. He didn't really had friends, and that was fine with Jae.

The one thing that made Jae uncomfortable? Suua falling asleep on his shoulder. He had never had this happen to him before and it made him tense. He didn't move, he only breathed when he needed to. He didn't want to disturb her, he knew she was risking a lot by going out with him. That buzzing in her purse was more than social media. Friends, her parents... At the end of this all he'd convince her they needed a 'break' and they'd go on their own separate ways. He didn't really calculate that she'd do things like this. Hand holding? Maybe. But not this.

The bus slowly made its stop and before Jae could wake Suua she was jumping up, bowing and apologizing. "Oh." For the first time Jae was at a loss for words, his eyes blinking for a moment or two in confusion. "Alright then." He stood to his towering height and rubbed the back of his neck. He grabbed his black workout bag that held all the things he'd need for a few days. He slung the bag over his shoulder and walked off the bus, taking the pink duffel from Suua and holding it with his bag over his shoulder like it was nothing. "You don't need to apologize, but if you want me to forgive you you'll let me carry your bag." He winked down at her and walked into the hot springs.

He walked to the counter, got his key, and walked to the left. Jae led the way to the outside area of the springs, walking to the cabin on site. Using the key he slid open the door, tucking it inside his pocket as he put Suua's bag next to the door, his shoes going on the mat next to the door and replaced with some slippers. The lady at the counter told him that boys were to the left, girls were to the right. Jae walked to the left and slid open the bedroom, four large futons folded up nicely for the boys to set up. He sat down the bag and gave a long sigh. "I need to relax..." He rubbed his neck once more, another sigh passing his lips.

Tae

"I know. Yeah, I know Yubin. I don't know happened either. We got in a fight and then this happened." Tae was not ashamed of the conversation he was having on the back of the bus. He knew Suua was asleep, she always fell asleep on long drives. Not that Jae would know, he probably didn't even know Suua's last name. "I don't like it either, believe me." He couldn't tell her about the fight they had. That Tae had to set boundaries. That he was so upset he just stormed out on her. He hadn't spoken a word to her in months. He was sure Yubin and Hyunn knew. He was sure they noticed Suua not telling them stories about their day, sure they noticed that he wasn't texting them as much. Tae had really pulled away from everyone to try to ease the pain, but it's only gotten worse now.

"I'll keep you updated. Talk to you later." As the bus stopped he hung up, standing to grab his blue duffel. Suua was bowing and apologizing for something, making Tae's eyes roll. She got embarrassed over the most ridiculous things. Tae appreciated it, but he didn't appreciate her doing that with Jae.

Tae followed suit. He got his key, went to the cabin, and threw down his bag, grabbing a pair of trunks. "I'm going to the men's spring." Quickly he made his way back into the hot springs and to the men's locker room. After he showered off, tossed on his trunks, and grabbed a towel he went to the springs he went to the spring. It was surprisingly empty, but this was the down time of the year. Whatever, it worked fine for Tae.

He walked into the hot spring and gave a long sigh to get rid of all his stress. He sat down, leaned his head back, and looked up at the night sky. He was still pissed off, but this made him think about it less.

Sora

Usually on trips Sora would have her nose buried in a book. She was friendly, popular, and sweet, but most of the time she preferred the company of a book to people. That and she didn't have too many friends at this school. Suua, Lee, they were the popular girls. Lee was the bad girl that was the daughter of Yuri. Suua? She was Yubin's daughter and had a radiant personality. Sora's dad was a famous actor, but how could he compare to Yubin and Yuri? Yuri was Korea's sweetheart, and Yubin was one of Korea's biggest stars.

The trip today? She sat next to Seung. It was the first time someone wanted to hang around her and didn't ask about her cousin or her friends. It was the first time someone really seemed to care about Sora. Plus, the more she talked to him the more she realized he wasn't some snobby rich boy. That was literally all he knew. She could tell that he was lonely. Sora couldn't imagine life without her dad. She didn't have a mom, either.

"Suua?" Sora blinked widely as she ran off the bus. All for sleeping on the guy? That was a bit excessive. "Oh, it's already started..." Sora sighed quietly. Tae walked by and looked pissed, Suua was embarrassed, and Jae looked smug. This was going to ruin their vacation. Slowly she slid to her feet and grabbed her galaxy duffel bag, walking off the bus with a long yawn. Was she the only one exhausted? It's not like she could go to sleep, they were all going to end up at the hot springs eventually.

Key, cabin, slippers, and right to the bedrooms. She sat down her bag in the room and slid out her purple halter one piece. "Alright, Tae's out. Who wants to go to the communal hot springs?" Sora walked out into the entryway of the cabin, deciding to walk over in her slippers versus putting on her shoes again.

Lee

This whole thing put Lee on edge. She didn't like this plan, it made her feel dirty. Her mom taught her to love who you love with everything you have, to follow your heart. She knew of the story of how her parents first got together, and how her dad was still involved with Yubin. So this was okay, right? Jae told her that Suua was the cover relationship. That also meant that Lee would be the 'other woman'. Right? It felt dirty. Was this how her mom felt? And clearly Suua liked him. Lee wondered how long she could keep up this act. Surely not for three years...

The whole trip Lee was curled up in her seat wrapped in a blanket, headphones playing her favorite music, and her head resting against the window of the bus. She was trying to convince herself that this was okay, but somewhere along the line she fell asleep.

When the bus stopped she jumped a little to wake herself up. "We're here..." She scratched the top of her blonde hair and yanked out her headphones, following the others off the bus and to the cabin. She walked passed Suua, not making eye contact, and followed Sora to the room and tore her crisscross bikini from her black studded duffel bag. "Let's just go, Sora. We don't need to wait for anyone." She walked passed Sora and straight to the woman's locker room. She showered, changed, grabbed her towel and walked into the communal springs. There wasn't anyone there thank heavens, she wasn't in the mood to deal with strangers. She wasn't even in the mood to deal with her friends.

She walked into the spring and felt herself already relax. Slowly she sat down, sinking down until the water touched her nose. Lee was trying to figure out how this could work, and if she even wanted this to work.

Suua

Suua stammered for a moment when Jae grabbed her bags. It was simple and polite but only her family and Tae had ever done that for her. Dating was going to take some getting used too... It made her feel so uncomfortable. She was happy! Like, she liked Jae and everything, he was sweet to her and they had some common interests. But it was still strange... Plus she was sure she had only made things with Tae a thousand times worse. What was she supposed to do though?! The past two months she tried to apologize! Tried to get him to talk to her! He wouldn't budge! Looking back on their friendship Suua knew she had messed up, but all she could do was apologize! She couldn't change the past!

In her pocket her phone buzzed again and she finally pulled it out, a bunch of texts from her mother and then a most recent one from her father. "Oh..." Suua groaned as she switched out her shoes for slippers as she followed suit with the others. Finally she opened it and let out a small gasp: Sweetheart we just want you safe and happy. Please don't ignore us... Have a good trip. Love you. Instantly Suua felt terrible and quickly replied a sorry love you too. Her mothers texts were less... sweet... but they really had the same message in her mothers own way. Suua knew her parents loved her but... she was nearly 17 and her fame was growing. Childish rules were just that. Childish.

"Sounds awesome Sora!" Suua smiled and grabbed her bag from where Jae left it before heading to the room and changing into her swimsuit. It was a pastel blue and white gingham patterned one piece with off the shoulder frills. Very cute. After yanking her hair into a pony tail she re-entered the main room to find Lee and Sora already gone and she frowned a little... Lee had been avoiding her recently. Was it because of the Tae thing? Or was she just being typical rebel Lee? Either way it stung a little... that night that Lee took care of her after drinking Suua thought the two of them were starting to get close again... but maybe not.

King
King was going soft.

His grades were getting better in his normal classes. He spent less time skipping. He caused less trouble. And honestly he didn't hate it. It started because he wanted to make Sora's life easier, it wasn't fair to waste her time babysitting him. The night he learned about her dreams for NASA had planted a seed that grew with each and every day. It was guilt for causing her trouble. This girl was RUINING him and he HATED it. Tae was a little bitch for letting Suua play him like a lap dog. Or at least thats what King used to think but now... Now he understood it. Crushes make you do crazy things. No not a crush, it was more than that. King legitimately liked Sora... It made zero sense! They were nothing alike and honestly he was stupid for even catching feelings because she was way to good for him. His only good quality was his fame and his father and neither of those things seemed to impress her. That was a good thing he supposed. But also... it meant he didn't know how to approach this.

Jae had already won the bet and honestly King didn't feel like trying to "tie". He just wanted out of this thing... If he ever got the nerve to try talking to her like... that... he didn't want it to because of the bet. But the other sick and twisted side of King wanted to wait and watch this dating best friends thing blow up in Jae's face. So he stayed quiet.

"Hey just ignore it." King stood and ruffled Sora's hair as she looked after Korea's cutest couple and th love scorned Jae. "It's all going to implode eventually." He stated it matter of factly before shrugging. "Not to be mean I guess but it's just ill fated."

King followed the others to the cabin and quickly got changed himself into a pair of navy blue trunks before giving Jae a small chuckle, "Wouldn't need to relax if you weren't pulling some major shit my man. Asking her out on stage? You just need the attention huh?"

Jung

Lee hadn't reacted much to what Jung told her about Tae's drinking. Did she know? Or was Jung maybe making too big a deal out of the whole thing. Maybe that was normal for a high school student? He really didn't think so but then again he supposed he could be wrong.

The bus ride was long and Jung himself had fallen asleep. Lately he had been up all night working on homework and studying, practicing for the performance took up literally all of his normal spare time and despite the popular opinion of Jung being good in school because of his father, it was far from the truth. Jung was a polite and overall helpful guy but schoolwork was the devil.

Once they arrived and everyone set off for the cabin, Jung sent his father a quick text to let him know everyone arrived safely. They were here for the next four days and boy was it going to be an interesting four days...

Jung entered the boys room as King ended his words to Jae and rolled his eyes. "Man do you ever just shut up?" He chuckled and dropped his olive green bag next to a mattress. "Sora said something about going to the communal area? Sure you don't want to hurry and chase after her?" Jung waggled his eyebrows at King before turning and heading out to a bathroom to get changed and head down to the baths.

Jae-Ho

"The more I build this up the more sympathy I'll get at the end of this. See, King, it's all one big equation. I've finished it man, I see the end. I see my popularity growing ten fold among the women. And even better? I win." Jae's big smirk fell when Jung came in. Oh? Jae had been working so hard with Lee and Suua he hadn't even thought about Sora. Probably the story of Sora's life. "The smart one, eh? I didn't see you the type. No wonder you've been doing your homework lately, you sly fox." Jae laughed quietly. "Don't worry, she's safe from me." Unlike King Jae wasn't going soft, he shared no actual feelings for the girls. He didn't suspect that King would actually be falling for the girl.

Jae walked out to see Suua and smiled that dimpled smile of his. "Don't you look lovely?" He put the hand on the small of her back and escorted her to the springs changing rooms. "I'll see you on the other side, beautiful." Jae kissed her hand gently with that sweet smile of his before entering the changing room. He changed into his trunks, showered off, and then walked out to the communal bath to see Lee, his other victim. Little did Jae know, Lee was feeling guilt. He didn't see that in his calculations.

"You okay, Lee?" Jae walked into the water and leaned against a large rock across from Lee. She looked...down. "It all went so well, don't you think? Just like we planned."

Lee

Lee hated avoiding Suua. She was the one person she felt close to anymore. Suua didn't see Lee's mom or dad when she was with her, she just saw Lee. Despite that, she was still around her even after all this time. Sora was sick of Lee's shit, but Suua? She stuck by her even through this. Suua and Lee, along with Tae, had been together since they were born. Sora suddenly came around later. This whole thing was a mess! How could she have even let this happen? Suua didn't deserve to be the 'cover' relationship. She was so much more than that, she deserved real happiness. Like she had with Tae. Jae was just so...fake. Lee was beginning to see that.

Speaking of Tae, she had to confront the drinking. Lee had her fair share of drinks but she never really drank at school events. How long had this been going on? But she could only really focus on one thing at a time...

Jae came out and Lee rose from the water a little so that her chin was in the water. "You're right, it did go according to plan." His plan. Lee just wanted to date in private. "I, uh. I'm just thinking about some things." Underneath the water her hands fidgeted nervously, tapping repeatedly on the rock underneath her. He had went through so much trouble, but minute by minute it made Lee feel more and more uncomfortable. Was it bad she wanted to call her mom? She hadn't talked to her in a few weeks. It's not that Yuri didn't try, but Lee...she just ignored the calls. Ignored the texts. How could she talk to her about this?

"Is this the right thing to do?"

Sora

If Sora knew the game Jae and King were playing it would probably devastate her. She had begun to let her guard down around Seung, something she didn't do with many people. She actually enjoyed his company. So to know that he would willingly play part in something so awful, to know that she was just another pawn in their game, she would shut down and build more walls than she already had. So it was a good thing she didn't know.

After a quick shower in the women's room she tied her hair into a tight bun at the top of her head, walking out to the spring to see Lee and Jae. Why were they talking?

Sora slid into the water silently and slowly moved behind the largest rock, her bright blue eyes peeking around the corner as she tried to eavesdrop. Maybe it would give Sora ideas on what to talk to Lee about, since she had absolutely no clue what to talk about with her. What could Jae and Lee possibly have to talk about?

Suua

Suua went bright red when Jae touched her. This was a terrible idea. Maybe her mother was right! Not dating may have been better because she was acting like a total freak over the simplest things. Why was this any different than when they walked to class or texted? Or when he brought her snacks! How was she so confident on that stage but now his hand made her want to run and hide from everyone. When he kissed her hand and left to changed it caused her to stammer for a long few moments before finally running off to the baths to have a reason for a warm face.

"Sora!" Suua cheered and climbed into the water behind the girl and smiled, making her way to where the brunette peered out from behind a rock. "What'cha looking at?" Suua's large doe eyes peered at her friend before she started to move to look beyond the rock as well. "Oh there's where the others went. Oh gosh! Sora I'm sorry were you trying to relax in private? I'm such a dunce sometimes!' Suua chuckled and smiled sheepishly before stepping away from the girl and bowing. "I'll leave you be!"

Suua moved closer to Lee and Jae before sinking into a spot near a rock and sighing, looking around quickly. Tae had gone to the mens only side... Suua felt bad. He should be enjoying his time, not hiding from his friends...

Rian

The rest of the trip and year was pretty quiet and normal. Tae stayed away from everyone when he could, Rian and Jung stayed pretty quiet as well, King and Sora got strangely close and Suua, Jae and Lee were... strange around each other. So strange that when Jae came to Rian right before their performance she wasn't even completely surprised.

Completely.

"What in the fuck Jae?" Rian hissed and pushed his shoulder as she glared at him and pushed back her bright red hair. "Jesus man." Her mind couldnt even begin to understand the shit he was saying. Rian wasn't surpried that Jae was pulling some xtupid shit but she was surprised at the insane situation he had created. "Why are you even telling me about all of this?” They weren’t friends really. They talked occasionally but not about anything substantial. “I mean seriously what do you expect me to do Jae?” Rian looked at him with wide brown eyes as she adjusted the crop top that she was wearing for the end of the year performance. “What do you want me to do? Walk out there and let it all out?” Rian whispered harshly as she pointed out towards the stage. Then it dawned on her. That was a perfect idea.

“You know what, just wait.” Rian was over it. This was all just too god damn much!

Rian turned from Jae and broke through the curtains and took the mic from the headmaster. “So I’m taking my education seriously and I’m super done with all the stupid shit. So no more drama and nonsense. There’s been this fucking bet okay? And I’m over it.” Rian explained it all between the three, completely unaware that King and Sora were involved as well. “Now can we be done?”

Jae-Ho

As the year flew by Jae thought that he wouldn't feel a thing, that he would be cold as ever. He had 'dated' before for the publicity. He dated a few models before, but he had always left because he didn't feel anything. For some reason though these two girls made him feel some sort of emotion. Love? That wasn't it. It was guilt, and he didn't know how to get out of it. If he broke up with them then he'd hurt them. They didn't deserve to get hurt. They didn't deserve what he did to them. And Sora and King? Their relationship started because of this lie. Maybe King wanted out, too?

There was only one person that could help him. A non judgmental party...well, for the most part at least. She'd give him the kick in the ass he needed.

She scolded him. He deserved that. And what's ironic? She went on stage, where the whole twisted thing started. Jae was behind the curtains back stage with the group when she explained everything. For once Jae was ashamed. Of not only himself, but his actions, the way he treated these young ladies. "I didn't know I'd end up feeling so guilty. I-I've never been more sorry in my life time. I'm...I'm so sorry." Jae hung his head in shame.

With that said Jae exited the theater. The group had already preformed, and if they kicked him out for leaving? He'd deserve it.

Tae

Tae had been a mess the last few months. He had a string of girlfriends, a string of breakups, and a string of many nights spent drinking. Not around Suua was hurting him, seeing her with an asshole like Jae? It killed him. Especially since he knew something was up. He had tried to warn Suua, but she had gotten mad at him. He tried to talk to Lee and she got hostile. Sora didn't know what to do. That left Tae all by himself to figure things out, and things made so much more sense drinking.

Plus, Suua looked happy...how could he disturb that? She moved on from him, she didn't want anything to do with him. Tae kept his distance just to see her happy.

Tae was backstage sitting apart from the group as usual when Rian stormed onto stage. Tae had been drinking from his flask, but when he heard what she had to say, something about a bet? Tae lost it. "Excuse the fuck out of me?" He dropped his flask and stood up. He wasn't drunk yet, he was still in the uncomfortable sober state he stayed in for his performances. "Jae get the fuck back here." Tae stormed outside after Jae and grabbed him by the collar of the jacket he wore. "You think you can fuck around with them and get away with it?"

Before Tae could use his brain he was throwing a rough punch into Jae's pretty face and knocking him back into a wall. "What the fuck is your problem dude? You've been playing with their emotions for MONTHS."

Lee

The last few months had been difficult. Yuri was out longer this time, she wasn't due back for another month at least. Jin was busy with school. Her best friend was dating her boyfriend so there was no talking to her about this. Sora? Busy with her boyfriend, and she was happy with her. Tae was busy drinking or avoiding the lot of them, he wasn't capable of helping anyone. So Lee held it in, she pretended to be happy in a miserable relationship. Jae was so sweet it was unreal. She just wished he was only dating her. Did her mom feel this kind of pain back in the day?

When Rian announced what happened she felt a mixture of pain and relief. Relief to know it was out there now. Pain because, obviously, it hurt both her and Suua. It was like a double slap in the face for Lee though. She knew about him dating Suua, but she didn't know about the bet. She felt this terrible for someone who didn't even like her?

"W-What?" Lee watched Jae leave, unable to move for a long moment. Then Tae went after Jae. That seem to stir the emotions in Lee and get ehr to stand up. "Tae wait!" She knew the state he was in. He was not ready for a confrontation. That was clear when she walked out in time to see Tae throwing a punch. "Tae!" She grabbed Tae before he could hit Jae again, pulling him away from him. "Don't do it, he's not worth it..." For the first time since this started Lee felt her eyes water. She wasn't angry, just upset and hurt. "I knew he was dating Suua, but he said it was just a cover for our relationship. I-I felt guilty the whole time, I really did. I didn't know he was doing this because of a bet, though..."

Sora

The past few months flew by for Sora in the greatest way possible. Her father loved King, invited him to every family thing they did. Skiing, the Bahamas, dinners, fancy parties her father dragged her too. For the first time someone was around her because of her. For the first time she could actually talk to someone and relax around them. There was no doubt in her mind that she was head over heels for him. He made her smile like no one else could, she felt warm and happy just at the thought of him. They had been on the cover of a few magazines, several websites, and in countless articles. After it was revealed that King had a girlfriend Sora got a few threatening emails and letters, all of which she hid from her dad and King. She was way too happy to let something like that spoil something so great.

Sora was all done up for performance night. A black halter top with a purple jacket, a black mini skirt, and a small bit of purple lip gloss on her pretty lips. Her hair was curled perfectly and fell flawlessly over her left shoulder. She had been sitting backstage next to King, her black wedges tapping on the floor to the beat to the last song that was on the stage. Her blue eyes watched noticed Rian and Jae talking during the song, her perfect brows arching curiously. Usually they were so respectful.

After the last performance Rian went on stage and made her announcement. At first she was angry at Jae, and then she processed something. A bet? No...her heart broke in half. She stood and stepped away from King, her eyes doe eyed and glossy. "What was the bet, Seung? Who could date who? Who could keep a girl for the longest?" Her lip quivered as she fought back the tears. "It doesn't matter, I suppose. At least now you don't have to pretend to like me anymore. I guess I was too happy to notice how stupid I was." Sora had never felt stupid in her whole life. It was a new feeling, a very embarrassing feeling. She felt like crawling in a hole and hiding for the rest of her life.

As soon as a tear fell down her cheek she quickly wiped it away with her hand. "Never mind." With that said she ran out the back door, behind everyone else. She watched Jae get decked. He deserved that. But then Lee spoke up and she felt her heart crumble even more. "Lee, you were a part of this behavior?" Why did she feel so betrayed? Of course Lee had no clue about King and Jae's bet. But why did it hurt so much? "Fuck both of you guys." That was the nail in the coffin. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she shook her head. Quickly she pulled out her phone and texted her dad to get the car and to get her.

Suua

The past few months had honestly been pretty good. Well except for not being able to share any of her time with her best friend. Suua still didn't understand how she could have been hurting Tae for so long without even noticing... was she really that bad of a friend? It hurt to even think about but she supposed it was something that just had to be accepted. She only wished that he would even talk to her about it all, clear the air... go back to the way things were if it were even possible. On top of all this she couldn't even talk to Lee about it! Lee had been avoiding her for some reason! No matter what Suua did, Lee would shrug her off.

It all hurt... but at least she had Jae. He was sweet and treated her well. Suua wouldn't say she was in love or saw a real future with the male but, she surely did like him. When all of her friends left her in the dark, Jae was always there. At least most of the time... Sometimes he just went missing. Tae had tried to tell Suua once that he thought Jae was fishy but Suua told him to leave it alone. If Tae wanted to give her advice he had to be willing to actually talk to her longer than just to yell at her...

But today Suua learned that Tae was unfortunately very very correct. Jae was fishy in a way that Suua would have never even imagined! But as soon as she heard it it all made sense. Why Lee ignored her. Why Jae went missing. Why he was so overly sweet to her. Why she always felt kind of... fake. The blonde looked up at Jae with wide eyes. Today she looked pretty, her blonde hair wavy and half up, makeup perfect, the black and baby blue outfit making her look well put together. Despite all this she felt revolting.

Before she knew what was happening Jae was leaving with Tae chasing him and Lee in tow. Sora was upset and besides her King looked distraught. Suua was hurt but not as badly as one would think... more disappointed than anything. But Lee, Sora and King all looked... terrible. After a moment she stood and followed the others, peeking out just as Tae hit Jae. It made her heart plummet into her stomach. "Ta-Tae!" Suua gasped as Lee pulled their friend back and her disappointment got overrun by her worry. "A-Are you okay?" Then her ears cued in. Then hurt overrun her panic.

"Y-You knew?" Suua swallowed and looked at Lee. Her best friend. Hell basically her sister! "You KNEW? God. Are we all just cursed? History repeats itself I know but jesus Lee. Our moms weren't friends! Apparently its just in your blood huh?" As soon as Suua said it she regretted it. "Shit-I didn't I mean... I just..." Suua stammered. This was all too much.

King

King was falling in love and her knew it. Or maybe he already was. It was hard to understand because never in his life had he even liked another girl sincerely let alone love one. But Sora was everything that was good in the world and she brought out the good in him. They did everything together and it made his life 100 times better. He didn't have to keep up this act around her. He could be smart and enjoy the dorky things he liked rather than hiding them to keep up his and his fathers brand. King had told Jae that he wanted out of the bet once but couldn't force himself to be sincere enough to make it happen. All he thought was that if they got through to the end of the year, it would fizzle out. And King could just pretend like all of this was sincere from the start... like he wished it was.

After the performances they were all sitting around waiting to be released so they could start their so needed break. But instead of a happy quiet end, King suddenly heard Rian on the stage and his heart straight up stopped for a moment. "Jae what the fuck?" King was instantly angry. "If you felt guilty about this you should have handled it like a fucking man rather than making Rian do your dirty work! I told you this was all fucking stupid MONTHS ago! You could have ended it then like I asked!" His face was red, redder than his faded pink hair. He swallowed hard and went to turn to Sora. Answer her questions. Explain it all to her. But before he even had a chance she was already running out the door.

"S-Sora!" Kings feet carried him as fast as he could, ignoring the fight between Jae and Tae. Ignoring Lee and Suua. "Sora... I know you don't want to listen to me right now but please..." King's eyes welled with tears but he held them in. He didn't deserve to be sad. He fucked up. He should have told her about this... but he was so scared of hurting her... but I guess he did anyways. "I do like you Sora... So so much." He reached out and took her hand gently. "I'm a shit person, you know that. I don't deserve you at all but who I was when this started and who I am now are different people. Jae and I did something so terribly insensitive and stupid and I didn't see a way out. And it was this stupid bet to date as many girls as we could by the end of the year. But once I started talking to you... I didn't want anyone else."

King looked away from her and swallowed hard. "I cannot even begin to explain how sorry I am Sora. You are the most amazing human I have ever met and I love you so much that I cant even understand it." He said it. It just flowed out like it was natural and it made King swallow his heart once again. "I understand if you hate me but please just don't think I was pretending."

Rian

Everyone in the crowd murmured. Some snapped photos. One even yelled asking for more information. To that Riant simply rolled her eyes and stomped off the stage. This right here is why she hated this life. People played games. People stuck their noses where it didn’t belong. It was all such royal bullshit.

Once she returned backstage Rian let out a long sigh. Shit was falling apart just like she knew it would. This whole idea was asinine. This whole class. When they were seniors they were mature enough to handle this living situation but starting out in a house together as freshman? It took the boys a full 24 hours to fuck everything up according to what Jae told her!! To be completely fair to him he seemed so distraught over it... but that didn’t make what he did okay. It wasn’t just hurtful it was downright evil!

Rian followed the commotion outside and sat back as Tae punched Jae. “Yikes.” She sighed and pushed a piece of bright red hair back from her face and stepped forward. “Guys let’s just separate okay? It’s summer break and we all just need some time far away from each other.” At least Rian knew that’s what she needed. “You.” Rian glowered over at Jae as he leaned against the wall, blood flowing from a split lip. He deserved it but no one should see him like this. Pictures would be everywhere in a millisecond. “Don’t move, I’ll bring my car around and sneak you back to the house. Last thing this group needs is more fucking drama.”

Jae-Ho

Jae deserved the fist that flew into his face. He deserved to be knocked back into the wall, his head smacking against the brick of the school. For most of Jae's life he had put on a show. It was his defense mechanism, it protected him from being hurt. He had stepped on so many people to get to the top of the social ladder and he didn't even give it a second thought. He played with so many girls emotions like it was second nature. For some reason in attempts to win a stupid bet he twisted these girls lives upside down for months. Within those months something changed inside of him. For once he felt a sick feeling inside of him when he thought about what he was doing to them. He felt guilty whenever he was with them. He ruined relationships and lied to everyone. When King wanted to get out of the bet Jae didn't understand, and while Jae wasn't in love with these girls, he finally understood what he meant. It was wrong what they did, it was wrong what they were doing.

He especially felt awful when Suua verbally attacked Lee. It wasn't his place to step in and defend her, he didn't deserve to defend her. It was him, it was all him. He manipulated her into thinking that she was the reason he was dating Suua. She was the cover. He knew Lee didn't feel right about it, it drove a wedge between the girls. Him defending her would make things worse.

Rian suddenly appeared, interrupting Tae from sending another direct blow to his face. Jae looked like a beaten puppy and he would have willingly taken another hit. His hair fell in front of his sullen eyes, his bloodied split lip slowly dripping down his chin. He had already dealt with her scolding him and yelling at him, he deserved it. Despite what he did she helped him come out with the truth, and even now she was trying to help him. When did she become so nice? Had she always been this way?

Jae nodded when she barked her order at him. "Alright..." It didn't take long for Rian to pull the car around, and Jae quickly moved to the passenger seat. His eyes avoided looking at anyone, especially the girls. He broke everyone, even Sora. Jae felt like the biggest piece of shit as he climbed into car. "I deserve more than a busted up lip..." He shut the door once he was in the seat and hung his head in shame. Honestly, he didn't know where to go from here.
