Some may call this slightly intense but Javad has always been someone to dedicate time and effort into things and people who give the same sentiments back. Even when he's devoted to the "wrong" person, his dedication to seeing the improvement in them surpasses any problems they have.

childhood

The first year of Javad’s life has always been a blur - not that most people remember their first year of life anyways, but because his adoptive parents kept most of their adoption dealings a secret. All Javad knows is how his parents kept his original name and kept Mohamed as his middle name. From the moment they came back from whatever country they went to retrieve him, he was a Taylor. His dad loved teaching him how to play catch and all the cute father-son things an all around American family could be like. His parents enjoy the facade of the American white picket fence dream, although his parents still were trying for years to have their own child.

Javad's upbringing was supportive while he felt strange in his situation at a young age. He didn't look like his parents and it caused some issues along the way. A lot of teasing throughout elementary and middle school, Javad found music to get through the dumb kids. His dad tried to teach him to "be a man" and stand up for himself but the one day Javad followed his advice was when Mr. Taylor realized that his kid would grow up experiencing life different than he did. Javad was handcuffed and taken to the police station. All the paperwork just to scare a kid... Right... Cause it would have been the exact same if he looked like his parents.

Middle school came to Javad as a blur. He had decent grades to get by but he was no genius. Another element of upbringing his parents never anticipated. It was this time when the Taylors were expecting a new child. Their "own" child and Javad was pushed to the wayside. He remembers waiting for his parents to pick him up, searching for them in the crowd at award ceremonies, and eventually saving up enough money to skate his way home. He arrived home later and later expecting some notice, only to get reprimanded. Javad learned quick he was alone even when his parents tooted and booted about their happy family.

In 8th grade, he was recruited into joining a band. He didn't listen at all to Nova's explanation on the band lore. He just cared about being part of something and they were good. He made quick friends with everyone and it was Javad's charisma on stage and sheer talent that got them signed and touring within 6 months. Javad's parents had reservations about him leaving for months, but he made a good argument, using his newly born sister as a good excuse. They had one less mouth to feed and this was "his dream". They took the bait.

One album and a west coast tour later, Javad just finished their national tour and is back in Seattle for some time. In honesty, he went to Roosevelt High to drop out since Ms. Mancini wouldn't approve of online courses but was convinced by Wendy Sheary to just push through. "All you've got to do is show up." He could do that. He planned to keep his head low and just survive his last semester at hell.

is Javad's little sister and his parents first "real" child. At first, he was a bit bitter about his parents no longer being a watchful eye on him as they poured themselves into Liz, but a big brother loves his little sister. Forever. She's only four years old, you can't be mad at a four year old!

band mates

Black Opodius is a post-hardcore band created by Nova and Riddle and earned a lot of buzz after Javad joined when he was in 8th grade. The band had a huge falling out between Nova and Riddle that made waves in the punk scene in Seattle. Right after some intense negotiations, Black Opodius is now signed under a subsidiary of Capitol Records and it's like... a really good deal. BO went on a small west coast tour during Javad's sophomore year after releasing their debut album in spring/summer of that year. It was a sucess and they are now on a national tour.

He's the one that convinced Javadd to look into connecting to his culture and unironically does yoga for spiritual reasons. No relations to Denaley and they make sure to make the person asking uncomfortable when they slip up.

She's the one that convinced Javadd to be the singer after their ex-singer sold out to Fueled By Ramen. Fuck that guy. Her handle is @denialey and makes hot takes on Twitter. She's a broken clock and broken clocks are right twice a day.
