Welcome!
Always nice to see more members who remember The Old Ways, instead of this new fangled Fandom FXM Romance nonsense (this is a joke - you all know I love you really).
The confusion over VTTs is mostly down to the fact few of us use them. We previously had rules against recruiting for off-site games on-site, see, and I don't know for sure but I think Roll20 counted as off-site. Add to that the fact VTT primarily supports crunchier, combat-heavy stuff like D&D whereas most folks I know on the site prefer to lean away from the mechanics. I think World of Darkness sees the lion's share of activity here.
Although I've seen more D&D stuff popping up in the wake of 5th ed, which is nice as a gateway-game at least. Next year I'll have 'em playing Exalted or something.
