Hello darlings, my name is Maelle. As you've probably assumed, I am ancient; as old as time itself. *chuckles* No no, silly human. Not simply because I was created to serve as the Devil's hiding place, but because I'm not stupid. I can very easily be assassinated by means of... What do you call it? Murder, that's right. Any way you mortals can be finished off, I can be ended just as well. But I'm quite intelligent, and that's how I've survived all these years. I lurk in between trees, behind your bed, and in the sky and on the ground. I am the darkness, for shadows serve only to me.


I do indeed look forward to meeting you, although you probably don't. ;)

Hey fellow RPers! (: You can call me Voodoo. I've been RPing for so long but I'm just stumbling across this site now to be totally honest. Most of my characters are some form of dark entities, which is why I prefer fantasy. Maelle, as I played as above, is my favorite charrie. (Shh! Don't tell Ghost, he'll run me over with his truck or something O.o ) Anyway, I can't wait to get started and make friends. Invite me to a RP? I'd love to show y'all what I've got.

Hmm... Obviously, I'd love Maelle to be in it. As for setting, maybe like old style royalty type deal? It could maybe take place in a palace/castle where Maelle eventually stumbles upon, and decides to occupy it, since there's no electricity to light up every single corner. Whatever you think!
 
That sounds neat! Would it be more of a modern/futuristic castle, or more medieval?


Although, might I ask what exactly Maelle is?

I was thinking more medieval, since in my head, I picture medieval castles to be all dark and spooky and lit by candles.


Oh, yes of coarse! xD Maelle in a way is a succubus. She was created by the Devil to walk the Earth and basically rule over the shadows and darkness. She goes unseen most of the time, considering she talks to the shadows and asks them to conceal her and cover her, but she will occasionally reveal herself to those who doubt her. Although not often seen, she can always be heard whispering sweet nothings into her victims' ears.

Ah, a succubus. My character's identity will be unknown to Maelle in the beginning, but Iris Bellamy is a boy of only 15, the second son of the King. (King Bellamy?) Unless you mean that the castle is uninhabited.

Not at all, I definitely meant for it to be inhabited! This sounds pretty cool. Any more characters needed?? And also, do you want a more in depth plot or we'll just wing it and see what happens? Haha totally up to you!
 
If you want to add anymore characters, then sure! I'll mainly be playing Iris, but then there's his eldest sister Opal and the King. There'll be random reoccurring background characters, but we don't have to pay much mind to them. :D


Alright, what would Maelle's purpose be to come to the castle?

She's looking to overthrow her creator? She feels that now is the time to do so, as she's been planning this from the day she was "born." She always lived in the forest near the castle since it's been built, planning on how she's going to do it.


Does that sound alright??

Maelle comes to inhabit the castle, looking to overthrow her creator. Iris is the first human she meets in the castle, (if she decides to show herself) anything to add?

Yes I like that. Maybe she sees Iris as a target considering his young age? Not target to kill, but to kind of be her ticket in?
 
Yeah, that would work! Iris, being his naive self, falls for Maelle's succubus persona. She could approach and meet the King as a lovely young woman. What shall her plans be, then?

She hopes to marry into the family, and eventually claim the throne as Queen. Once she's in charge, she will use her demonic powers to rally up the Rebels that she has recruited, summon them to Earth, and from there, the revolution could start eventually?
 
Aye. And Iris, who had fallen madly in love with Maelle's tricks, would be nothing more than a puppet being played on strings. But... what if Iris' playful spirit and kind heart had somewhat the slightest impact on her? Heh, if that's too cheesy for you, then we'll follow through with the rebellion and include some sort of obstacle in her way.

Maybe that could be her obstacle. One who is evil, more evil than the Devil himself, does not simply feel emotions towards mortals who are nothing more than a piece in her game to rule over multiple dimensions and worlds. The concept of "love" is totally foreign to her, so I might have a bit fun with that idea.

That's exactly my point. She's never felt emotional connections to other beings, especially never humans. She was created, not born. She's only ever been told that her one purpose for existing is to make sure that evil exists in specifically the mortal realm of Earth, and she's done just that. There are many different versions of her that have been created, only they live in the different dimensions.

They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.


If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.
