I feel like stats are good, personally. I can understand why people may not.
To really please everyone is slmething impossible here but i say get rid of the speed stat, relace it with Hp? Treat it as 1 point is like 10 HP, or something. That way less tanky characters can invest into some level of hp.
Second idea is keeping all stats but speed. And replacing speed with skill points... Or mana... Or whatever.
Anything that acts as a resource.
That way characters have to invest in it to keep using skills in combat.
Or lastly, simply remove stats entirely and just have this generalized "High magic power and resistance"
I dont really like removing the stats, and i feel like you cpuld combine option 1 and 2.
Im just throwing out suggestions. I really do want this rp to finally get rolling and be fun.

I like stats to a certain extent. They help keep some sense of fairness and give a something that players can compare characters to. That being said, I feel like we're overthinking this. If we want a RP where character actions really are based on stats as much as their RPing ability, I'd rather just home brew D&D. Otherwise I say use the stats as a reference rather than a tool.

Hmm.... Yeah okay that works for me. I'll do some editing and remove the combat mechanics section of the lore page. We'll just free form it and get right to the roleplaying. I'll open the RP up here in just a few moments afterwords as well. I even have the first Sacred Treasure all lined up for you all to try and procure. I'll be editing the first post on the main page to reflect that so look forward to that soon.

Hey that's all cool. I'm pretty lax when it comes to posting. So long as you're not like in an active conversation with someone then I personally don't have a problem when you post. Besides i understand life is kinda of a thing (apparently) and it can take up a lot of our time. You do you first and just post when you can.
