The worm is a little similar to Mothra now that I think about it. It isn't really a guardian though. It just doesn't go out of its way to destroy things. But if it is fighting a Kaiju, then destroying things mean nothing to it. For example, if there is a hospital between it and a Kaiju, it would burrow through the hospital to get to the Kaiju.

Someone in the RP should make the realization that the Great Red Worm has appeared in ancient paintings and pottery as such, and that it had killed another Kaiju in the Gobi Desert rather recently.
