Fantasy Giorna High School for Mystical Teens

Up in the heavens, a giant floating island. Inside holding creatures humans could never begin to imagine. Controllers of wind, water, and fire; attributes many would desire. There are mermaids, lamias, nekos, and such. Some stranger creatures that you couldn't begin to explain. How'd they all get there? What do they do? They all got a letter, fancy and prim. Once they accept the invitation, they simply appear right upon the front step. Knock on the door, and life with the humans isn't even a concept. They get their own dorms, closets filled with anything they want. Classes with mentors who understand so much. Now the only question... Will you choose to join? We'd all be delighted for another to stay... So what do you say?


I know, I know, such an original idea. I guess I'm just a sucker for magical school Rps. Anyway, as the title suggests, this is a magical school rp idea. The creatures allowed are pretty much any creature, so long as they aren't op. Different varieties of personalities and powers are welcome! Feel free to even create your own creature!

We will now be starting the Rp! Please have your starting posts be your character reading the letter and appearing at the school! Teachers will start out when classes start! I'm thinking of having the first day be a day free of classes so the characters can get used to the layout of the school. Find your schedule and dorms in the OOC! Thanks!

Paarthornax, or Jake as he is called here woke up on what he thought was just another day. During his morning routine, he began tossing a fireball back and forth in his hands. He normally did this when he was thinking. He walked over to his bed and sat down. With a sigh, "Just another boring day here. Nothing exciting ever happens." He began to look around his room when he saw a white letter on his desk. "Huh, that's weird, I don't remember that being there." His heart sank when he read the name across it. In silver writing it said Paarthornax. He looked around and saw no one. He immediately picked up the letter and started to read it. Dear Paarthornax, ... we would like to enroll you ... touch yes to accept. Feeling puzzled, he hovered his finger one the glowing yes. Paarthornax slowly put his finger on the paper and in almost an instant he was surround by white light. Feeling frantic, he let his wings loose and held a fireball in his hand ready for whatever. When the light went away, he noticed people all around him in front of this gigantic building. When he took a closer look at the people he noticed they weren't normal. "These people are just like me, they all have gifts. This must be the school that letter was talking about. Well I guess I should look for an administrations building to see what I'm suppose to do." Paarthornax changed back to his human form and began walking towards the doors.

Smoke rose above the hooded male, followed by a sigh. Tapping the ashes away with his boney fingers, the teen couldnt help but grumble, reading over the note for the umpteenth time. He had lost track of how many times he had done this.


So this was rhe school for freaks and misfits. Like him. This couldnt possibly go wrong.


He gave another sigh,taking a long drag,before snuffing the cigbetween his skeletal fingers. He tossed the safely doused butt in the trash, heading inside with only a shouldered gym bag.

Sitting at her desk in her humble abode, built within a hillside Mamori saw a letter sitting on her table. After opening the letter her face immediately had an expression of joy upon it. A school, a place to learn, to meet others, to thrive. "I can't believe it she said as she danced around her home packing her belongings. She looked at a photo of her mother and father framed upon the wall. "Mom, Dad, I think I'll be able to find people like us there. I'm so excited" she spoke to the photo as if they were there before packing it with her belongings and heading on her way.

"Uooo... S'this 's th' place, kara?"


Looking up at the building in front of her, the first Oni to have stepped on the campus grounds: Haruka Kake, better known as 'Kara' vocalized her awe. Only a couple of minutes prior she had been sitting crouched inside a wooden crate -- which she had been told was the finest traveling craft in all the land -- awaiting her voyage to the mystical land called 'Aplaceyoucanlearn' -- or at least that's what the Chieftains who sealed her in the crate had called it. 


Instead of flying(?) with her mystical wooden crate to Aplaceyoucanlearn, however, Kara's craft was opened up by one of the Chieftains who was in charge of seeing her off. Confused, Kara had popped her head out of the crate, and saw what she thought was a very odd traveling meal inside of the chieftan's hand. It was thin, white, and reminded her of an animal pelt... Before she could eat it, however, the chieftain opened it up to show her that it was food with letters attached.


'Such a mystica' 'eal 'as n' doubt 'ooked by th' 'inest o' Oni.' she had thought, taking the 'meal' into her hands with her head bowed. She was mildly confused when the chieftain said to read it, but thinking that it was some form of eating-manners she wasn't aware of, Kara obeyed... And ended up here after taking a bite of the letter.


"Wha' a weird meal kara. Guess my p'lette jus' ain't d'veloped 'nough karana..." the young Oni muttered, crossing her arms and nodding to herself with a ''ve go' a 'ays t' go, kara.'.


After properly(?) reflecting on her immaturity, Kara turned her eyes to the school once again just as a Human with the air of a beast approached the school. Of course, Kara was well aware that Onis weren't going to be the only race at Aplaceyoucanlearn. Thanks to the fine tutelage of her parents for 6 hours -- only ending after their faces had become red (clearly a proof of their dedication) -- she was able to understand that fact. And so, when she saw the Human, she managed to contain her excitement.


But then she saw him. A man wearing a hoodie that matched Kara's skin, smoke lightly billowing from his face -- perhaps from a pipe? Well, the most important part was his bleached white, bony hands.


"UOOOH, A TINY 『GASHADOKURO』 KARA." she billowed, running up to the skeleton-man and circling in front of him. "Yer a real Gashadokuro, 'ight karana?! RIGHT?!"






((Gashadokuro are essentially Giant Skeleton Yōkai(wiki). Because Oni should also be classified as Yōkai, Kara is recognizing Bones as something akin to a distant relative.))

The skeleton stumbed back as the giantess circled him. She had come so fast...a woman her size shouldnt move like that. He was hoestly in a state of shock as she managed to clear him eithout him having noticed. He must have been lost in thought...


She then asked him a question. Her words were abit muddled,but he gave a pause, thinking it over.


"A gasha-what? I must say you lost me. " he clicked his teeth together, looking the girl over. Honestly if it wasnt for her clothing he would have confused her for a male ogre. She had to be 7 feet tall atleast. And those horns...yeesh. must be heavy headed.


He put a hand up, a "wait" motion, and imidiatly pulled another cigarette and match. He had a feeling he may need this...


Striking the match on his own jaw,he lit the tobacco, taking a long breath as he tossed the smoldering match away.


"Alright, big mama. Lets try this again. Am I a...?" He wanted to make sure he knew the word before answering,and waited,giving her time to answer

Kara's enthusiasm masked over the skeleton's confusion as he asked her just what she was talking about, but she patiently (read as 'trying her hardest not to explode with energy') awaited his response when he held up a hand for her to wait.


When he took out a cigarette and match, Kara tilted her head in wonder at the strange object, but after inhaling it in a similar manner one of Kara's Uncles did with a Pipe, she concluded that it was something similar. 'Maybe th' tiny-roll pipe is fer strenghtenin' bones, sorta like 'ow Oni Pipes're fer strengthenin' muscles?' she wondered, concluding that the small Gashadokuro was strengthening its bones to be big and strong like his elders in the future at her own convenience.


"Alright, big mama. Lets try this again. Am I a...?"


"[COLOR= rgb(255, 140, 0)]A『Gashadokuro』, karana![/COLOR]" she replied, inwardly wondering what he meant by 'big mama'. After a moment passed, she seemed to recognise a faint tinge of confusion -- similar to how he reacted at first -- so she elaborated. "S' like a... Erm... Like a BIG SKELETON, kara!" she shouted, holding her hands out wide to stress how enormous they were. "A REALLY big skeleton!"


It was so important, she said it twice.

After taking this in, the skeleton gave a nod, taking a long drag. 


"So,ya think im a gashadokuro...welp. to my knowledge im just a onry set of bones, but you could be right. I could be a tiny gasha!" He couldnt help but chuckle, clicking his teeth together in a grin. Sticking his cigarette bwtween his teeth, he held out a boney hand.


"Alright, big mama. Call me bones,ye?"

"So, ya think I'm a Gashadokuro... Welp. To my knowledge I'm just a onry set of bones, but you could be right. I could be a tiny Gasha!"


At the skeleton's response, Kara grinned widely, showing her pointed teeth in the process. "Ah knew it, kara!" she said triumphantly, her chest puffing up with pride as she placed her hands on her hips with an audible *thunk*. Clearly, she was quite satisfied with her good judgement.


"Alright, big mama. Call me bones, ye?" the Skeleton continued, causing Kara to lean forward slightly to match his height and grasp his hand. Her grip was solid, as if cement had just seeped around the young skelle-man's hand and sealed it tight, but she seemed to know enough self-constraint to end her grip's strength with that. Unfortunately, her shake was a bit less restrained, and their arms made literal *whoom, whoom* sounds due to the air resistance.


"Bones, huh! Nice t' meet'cha kara!" she shouted over her own gusts of wind, happiness clearly evident in her voice. "But m' name's not 'big mama', karana!"


Before the Bones' humerus could pop out of its socket (which wouldn't be very... Humorous), Kara released Bones' hand and stood up to full height, pointing at her face. "S' Haruka Kake, kara! Most jus' call m' Kara, though. Y'can, too!"

 She lifted her head from her pillow, which she stole. Her hair was  as wild as the jungle, an untamable tangle of locks that no amount of brushing can straighten.  Scratching her head, she looked beside her-- ``A note?``

That's how she got here. 


Hovering over about ten feet near what appeared to be a living skeleton and a 'giant red two-eyed cyclops',  as Harvey would call her, she started to get bored. ``Why am I even watching them in the first place?``  She thought to herself. What could she do? She doesn't know where to go-- and why she even accepted the 'fancy' letter. ``Well, at least, this way, I'll be able to steal more food!``  She thought as she continued to watch.

He smiled. Nearly getting his arm torn off would be an...aggravating experience. But having been a skeleton for afew years, he knew it wouldnt be a problem.


But damn she had a grip! It was like he was gwtting crushed by an anvil!


When she released him, he had to flex his poor phelangies to make sure they had reset right. He couldnt help but grin at the girls enthusiasm.


"Alright,Kara. Sorry, your just...very tall,compared to most females." He raised a hand to emphasize the "tall" bit.


He couldnt help but chuckle.


"Who knows!you might be a gasha with skin,ye?" 


He took a breath, and sighed.


"Alright, my very large friend. What say you and i go check out the dorms,ye? I think a little birdy is getting bored of just talking" he exhaled, a cloud if smoke floating up an inevitably consuming the girl above, him giving a teasing grin as he geastured to the doors

 She scratched her head for one or two seconds, knowing that she would fall if it took longer. ``Alright, my very large friend,`` she could hear the skeleton talk, ``What say you and I go check out the dorms, ye? I think a little birdy is getting bored of just talking.``


``Wait... DID THAT SKELETON JUST CALL ME LITT-`` Cut off by the sudden smoke rising up, she flew a few feet back. ``Ugh.``


Flying into the building, she went to find the dorms first, flying through the hallways, trying to dodge anyone coming her way. ``What was mine again?...``

New school time! This is going to be a bit of fun Hikari thought to herself and she dashed inside the school. It was giant compared to her old schools. She had a suitcase her wizard friend's mom made for her, it could store anything, so she put literally anything she could take from home in it. As she walked to Dorm 249 she noticed she was the first one there. Yes! First! That means I get the best part! She got herself settled, her computer down, her xbox wired, and her stuff in place. 


      She thought about the people she had seen while walking in. She liked examining things, especially her new living quarters. She saw; A Harpy, an Oni, A Skeleton, A half human half snake, A werebear, two warlocks, two kitsunes, A dragonborn, A nymph,and a golem, That was all she saw, but she knew it was going to be a nice year.


     


     As she waited for her roommates, she watched anime and didn't study at all. She knew class started soon, so she had to binge watch as much anime as possible! She hoped she wouldn't have arrogant or neat-freak roommates, but with her luck, thats what she was getting.

Decthalia smiled when she had found a letter in front of her doorstep at home when she opened the letter it read that she had been accepted to come and study abroad at one of the finest schools for Mystical creatures such as herself. Decthalia didn't have a problem at all with that since she had been homeschooled her whole entire life by her mother. Decthalia had never met her father, nor does she want to since she can never forgive him for leaving her and her mother. The reason he left was because of her powers since it drew many people to calling the family terrible names and telling them that they should not be living here because of what their daughter is. So the pressure was too hard for Decthalia's father and he left them. When he left, her mother had no choice but to leave the town and start anew. Decthalia had been homeschooled her whole life and she only has one friend who she truly calls her best friend. 


Weeks later Decthalia leaves her home to go and study abroad, she was very eager to but scared at the same time wondering if the kids at the school were welcoming or nice. Decthalia had been called every name in the book because of what she can do, and frankly, it's made the girl very broken inside. When Decthalia got to the school her things were already in her dorm by the time she got there so all she had to do was explore the school. Decthalia walked around the campus barefoot since it was more comfortable for her. All her life she rarely wore shoes since she didn't know what the point was in that. She is a very free girl who doesn't like sticking to what society says she should do. 


Decthalia began to walk towards her dorm, room 249 on the other side of the school. She inhaled deeply and opened the door to her dorm when she got there and saw that there was already a girl in there. Decthalia gave a warm smile as she walked in,"Hello. You must be my roommate?" She asked nicely.

He squatted down, let his wings appear and took off with a gust of wind behind him. He opened the door to his dorm and noticed he was the first one there. Without much hesitation, he jumped on the bed and laid down.

"My name is Decthalia, you can call me Thalia for short." She said with a smile as she brought her hand up and open the palm of her hand to reveal a beautiful yellow flower that she created and she plucks it and hands it to Hikari. "It's a pleasure to meet you," Decthalia told her and she saw that she had the bed near the window with the most sunlight. "Ha, no problem at all." Decthalia chuckled.

Hikari noticed she had just gotten a text. Hello Hikari, we have just realized we gave you the wrong door number. You are actually one door over. She groaned, as she had just put her stuff away. "Well, looks like I've gotta go, I'll see you around, kay?" And with that, she started to pack up.  


   


      When she finished backing up, she waved goodbye to Thalia and walked over to the next door over. She noticed a kitsune sleeping on the other bed, and decided to get her stuff ready. She noticed another computer. Yes! She thought, as she noticed the kitsune waking up.


 


     "HOLY CRAP WHO ARE YOU?!" Miyuki screamed as she noticed Hikari getting her stuff ready. She sat up and went over to her. It must be a neko...  As she saw her putting her computer up and staring at her, she would blush a bit and get back in bed.


     "I'm Hikari, you're Miyuki right?" Hikari said, staring at her. 


      "Aye," Replied Miyuki and then went back to sleep.

"Oh okay, well I guess I'll see you around." She said as she looked down at the flower that Hikari forgot to take. Decthalia looked back down at the flower and she closed her hand and watched as it disappeared into thin air. Decthalia was now alone again but it wasn't like she was surprised. Decthalia left the bed that was on the side for if someone needed it. She began to get settled in and she arranges her side of the room with beautiful flowers, plants and other things that began to grow through the cracks of the floor board. But it wasn't like it was new to her since everywhere she went flowers and plants, as well as animals, would be drawn to her.

Mamori arrived on campus, and looked down at her acceptance letter briefly. "Room 249, that's where I'll need to go" she said to herself, looking up and beginning to smile as she saw all the types of creatures walking around. It was better than she could have even imagined. After some time walking, and getting lost Mamori finally found her room. Upon entering Mamori witnessed various plants growing through the floor boards. She was fascinated, having never seen anything close to that. "Well I've never seen that before" she stated as she looked up to Decthalia. "I suppose we're roommates? I'm Mamori, it's a pleasure" she said with a warm smile, and a hand extended.

"Hm? Ah've been a Gashadokuro[SIZE= 1.3rem] this 'ole time...?![/SIZE][SIZE= 1.3rem]" she replied to her skeletal friend's joke, half serious. From what she had heard, Gashadokuros were made out of many corpses, so she didn't [/SIZE]fully[SIZE= 1.3rem] consider the [/SIZE]possibility[SIZE= 1.3rem]... But then again, there were many things she didn't know about their kind, given the fact that they and the Oni didn't maintain regular contact.[/SIZE]

'[/SIZE][SIZE= 1.3rem]Wha' a wier' bird, karana...[/SIZE][SIZE= 1.3rem]' she thought to herself concluding that the weird bird-human was just an odd-looking avian creature that lived around the campus. She had completely looked over the possibility of it being a student like herself.[/SIZE]


[SIZE= 1.3rem]"[/SIZE][SIZE= 1.3rem]Wonder wha' 't tastes like, karana...[/SIZE][SIZE= 1.3rem]" she muttered, a serious look on her face as the Harpy flew into the school. Well, if there were others like that one around it wouldn't be too long until she found out. Concluding so, Kara turned back to Bones with a smile on her face.[/SIZE]

[SIZE= 1.3rem]In fact, as she had eaten her acceptance letter, she had no means of knowing what most things related to Aplaceyoucanlearn were. From the way things were going, she would probably just [/SIZE][SIZE= 1.3rem]follow Bones right to the male dorms as though it were completely natural...[/SIZE]

Hikari and Miyuki didn't see eye to eye, though they both were gamers. Hikari actually studied, while Miyuki liked to slack off and ditch. Hikari looked in the phone book for Thalia's number and sent her a text, "My new roomate is a bit of a slob, but she's fine. She skips school though..."

Anculus stood outside the school looking at the tall structure and the intricacies of the masonry. Everything had such an attention to detail that it was quite impressive and the colors of everything was so interesting. Slowly, he made his way into the structure with heavy steps and saw the stone work that was laden for the walkway. The trees were beautiful with life and the air was blowing. As he was walking he something that was much taller than the other beings here and something that appeared as a moving decomposed cleaned corpse. Not knowing exactly what the big one was he walked over to it and looked down trying to analyze what sort of breed this was. As he looked down inside his suit magma flowed through him like a big lava lamp. "Analysis...breed unknown...species unknown...unrecognized origin..." He spoke out loud as he look upon the large being and reached out to touch its shoulder. @Ensig @Mistory

He looked the girl over, and shook his head. She was naive,but he liked her spark. 


"Dorms are...bed rooms,places you sleep, here at the school. The boys and girls should be seperated, or put in different places. I bet they are nearby though,so its not like we will be far away." He took another long drag, before hearing a voice. Turning to what appeared to be a ball of fire encased in armor, he was surprised. When the giant reached out to kara, he simply took a step back. He had the feeling someone was going to get punched in a moment,and he rather not get his skull cracked on the first day...
