Gillions Performing Arts Institute for Artistic Young Men

"Yeah, it's really great here..." Derrick mused before dropping his stuff on the ground. A good place to take a break....He thought as he laid out underneath a willow tree and tried to take a breather. This was the calmest Derrick had been all day. Usually he was stressed out about his dance routines or his family life, now he was relaxing in the garden with some guy he didn't even know. That brought Derrick's thought's back to present on Noah. "So, your new here right?" Derrick asked, he noticed Noah's camera. "Are you a photography major?"
 
Ariana shuddered in her classroom. It was bitterly freezing in her classroom, enough that her pink, plump lips had turned in to a light shade of blue. She wrapped her soft scarf tighter around her neck, and sipped on hot cocoa. Not a lot of people sang, so she was alone a lot.
 
Noah nodded, and began taking pictures of flowers and animals. "Hey Derrick, don't think I'm being gay, but can I take pictures of you with your shirt off next to a tree? I think that would get a lot of lady votes." said Noah uneasily. He sat down and looked around. I wonder what mom and dad are.... doing at home. "I forgot... they would fight, but with no boundaries...." Noah looked shocked. "Darn it!"
 
"Huh?" Derrick raised his head from the ground and eyed Noah as his question sank in. "No man...that doesn't sound gay at all." Derrick said sarcastically. "Needless to say, I think I need to get to know you better before I start taking my clothes." He said patiently before laying back down. Derrick was staring at the clouds when he realized he was considering Noah's request. It wasn't the first time a guy had asked to see him shirtless. At this school, it probably wouldn't be the last. Plus the hot new teachers would probably like it......But I don't want to give Noah mixed signals....Derrick found himself chuckling. He couldn't believe that the hardest decision he had right now was whether or not to take pictures for some guy. Derrick looked up at Noah and found him freaking out again. With a sigh, Derrick got up and tapped Noah on the shoulder again. "Hey, you can take your pictures, but I'm keeping my shirt on.....for now." He said with a half smile.
 
Leanne looked around the courtyard for a while, still standing at its threshold. She was surprised at how quiet an area in an all-boys' school could be. She wondered if she could ask someone for directions there but apparently the silence got the better of her. The quiet was surreal. She just couldn't ruin the calm by suddenly barging in just to ask for directions. So instead she went to the side to sit down and opened her journal again to continue her writing. Writing always eased her anxiety and now that she was anxious as ever, her she scribbled madly into her journal. But apparently, anxiety wasn't as inspirational as it was motivational so she'd only get to two or three lines before she'd crush that line out. A few minutes later, when her attempts weren't going as well as planned, she tore the page out and stuffed it into her bag. Then, she tried to start writing again but it was no use. She was too nervous to write something actually acceptable. She checked her watch to find that lunch was over in a few minutes and that she had to find that faculty room so she went up to a boy (LUCIAN), who was alone, apparently, and tapped him gently on the shoulder. "Umm, excuse me, do you happen to know where the faculty room is?"
 
When he didn't get a response from Wheat, Tyler excused himself. He went to the garden he found oon the map. He hid when he saw two other boys there. One was a photographer and one was being the subject of the pictures. They were both very handsome.
 
Noah smiled sheepishly. "Okay, whatever rocks your world..." He put his hand on his head and sighed. "How about you lean against that tree right there?" Noah took out his camera and it turned on. "PLEASE SAY A COMMAND" it said. "Camera mode." said Noah.
 
Tyler felt this was the perfect oppertunity to get some live action shots, and possibly some footage for his photographers documentary. First, he took out his silent digital camera and snapped some shots of these two. Then, he took out his video camera and recorded the kid who was taking the pictures of the boy against atree.
 
Derrick did as Noah asked and casually leaned against the tree. If you had told him today that later on, he'd be the subject of someone photographs Derrick probably would have laughed. Then again Gillion's Institute was always opening him up to new experiences, so it was possible. I wonder if that's such a good thing. Derrick took note of Noah's camera and the way he handled it. "So, do you always take pictures of guy you just meet. Or is this a special occasion?"
 
Noah laughed and said, "It's a special occasion. I'm doing a photography festieval and I need to get a lot of votes. Last year there were a lot of ladies so..." he began laughing.
 
Tyler filmed them for another minute before shutting his camera and slinking away. That was gold,​ he thought to himself.
 
Wheat walked back into the dance studio and started working on his ballet routine during his free period. He was feeling really off and just couldn't feel the right movements. He fell out of his leap and landed hard on his ankle, twisting it the wrong way. He sat in the floor and tossed his shoe aside. "Dang it! What's wrong with me?".
 
Tyler wandered around. He wished he'd gotten Wheat's number, he could use a friend at this school. He figured he'd find Wheat in the dance studio. He went there and saw Wheat on the floor. "Hey, are you okay, man?" He dropped on one knee down to him.
 
Wheat was still on the floor when Tyler walked over to him. "I don't know, should my ankle bend this way?" He asked, wincing as he looked at his ankle. It was bent backwards.
 
"Probably not. Here let me help you to the nurse's office." Tyler help get Wheat into a standing position.
 
"Jesus, bro. I didn't know that could happen." Tyler commented as he helped Wheat hobble to the nurse's office.
 
Lucian flinched slightly from the touch, his shield of thoughts shattering. He didn't not recognize the voice, it was young and female, not common in Gillions. Slowly he turned with a somewhat unamused expression. He stared at the face, too close than he was comfortable, but forced a smile as he climbed to his feet. "Uh, yeah..." he started, glancing towards the door. He considered bolting for it, but if she turned out to be one of his teachers, it might not go well in class. "here, it's this way, I'll show you." He walked to the door and held it open, gesturing in the direction of the faculty room. "You must be new here?"
 
Leanne nodded and scooted her glasses up her nosebridge. "Yeah, it's my first year teaching... Creative writing and a bit of theater..." she said softly. "Umm, were you doing anything important? I really don't want to be a nuisance to anyone right now."
 
And there, flashing his eyes back at Jake as if a sharp edge pierced the air, let's all laugh to this derisory situation. Ticking, smouldering, ticking repeatedly - oh god, he really needed a smoke right now. He instantly shifted his almost entire weight on his other hip as soon as the idea of moving his chair right next to Korey's fell on Jake's mind and he made it real. Korey was constantly on his guard and that act right now showed his utter distrust. Nevertheless as if the show was about to go on endlessly, the smile; Jake smiled and as if programmed to retort, Korey let a small smile etch on his face, out of reflex but he managed to suck in his lips and hide it, hide the shame of being... like a robot. And then, the guy spoke with such defying confidence that Korey had a hard time resisting to counter with a As if you know what I need. However out of courtesy or not, he remained unaffected, embedding more will; if he weren't exhausted right now, he would... he would... he would counter you on such a level exceeding acting and true nature. Yet, there wasn't much he could use to remain strong. Until, Jake blubbered that out.


No, far away from lovely. More like, horror. Watching him lunge away from his seat and so enthusiastically fleeing away, left Korey dazzled and believe me, fazed. No... absolutely not... no way. Do a scene together? As if, Korey doesn't just do scenes with anyone. Just with those whom... no, don't mention them. This is entirely different. What he deemed right now was that Jake... was no match for him... and thus, no way in hell was he to allow a scene together. Or was this on purpose? Was Jake challenging him? The fact that he doesn't want to do a scene with him doesn't derive from being worthy or not. He is just... he wants to prevent another attempt of controlling his actions. Because he knew, if his teacher asked him to do what Jake had suggested, he would never utter a no. But with Jake, if he catches up to him, he may succeed this thing in his life. To do something for himself. Thus, he yanked himself from the chair and ran after him, bracing his knuckles and there... maybe... under the brisk flutter of his hair, there maybe was a tiny... a tiny grumpy smirk...
 
Derrick chuckled as Noah explained. "Yeah, I'd say your chances are good for winning this year." Derrick wasn't one to brag, but when you look good why not flaunt it a little? He relaxed against the tree while Noah took shots with his camera. "Have you ever taken pictures of yourself? Ya know, put some of you in your portfolio?"
 
Jake ran across campus to the Performing Arts building, filled with both glee and mischief. Sure, he wanted to do a scene with Korey. But he also wanted to know his abilities. He wanted to know how much risk he could take, how far he could go as an actor; as an artist. Jake essentially wanted to know how good he actually was. He wasn't much of a person who competes. He believes that everyone in this school is in this school for a reason, and that everyone has their strong points and their weak points. Also, he didn't enjoy competition of his talent because deep inside him, he never thought he was good enough. He never thought that he was a remotely good actor. Most of his life, he have been round people who were more talented than him, and because of his disability he always thought that he wouldn't be able to match to their talent. He still feels that now. A key factor is acting is listening to your partner. Problem was, he couldn't listen. It was impossible for him to listen. It scared Jake tremendously every time he does a scene with a person.


But Jake never quit. He always kept moving forward, no matter how he felt. And that's what he was doing now. Jake walked inside the Performing Arts building, finding the Drama office where both Korey's and Jake's acting teacher was. He looked behind him, surprised to see Korey follow him. Jake smirked. "Are you stopping me, or do you want to actually do a scene with me?" Jake said, walking toward the door, waiting for an answer that may determine whether or not he asked.
 
Noah shook his head sadly, "I really don't like how I look at all.... So I don't take photos of myself." He shook his head miserably and said, "Turn off." his camera turned off and he put it into his bag. "Thanks for taking pictures with me man. I really apperciate it." He stood up and walked out of the garden room signing.
 
Lucian resisted the urge to tell her she was cutting into the only real alone time he would have during the day and shook his head. "It's alright, just...reflecting internally." he began down the hallway, watching the doors and faces that passed. It was the same faces everyday, yet he knew so few of their names. And he wasn't even bothered by it, not being one to really to ask names or get to know people. He was content with being by himself and shutting out the rest of the world. Suddenly, he remembered the teacher and stopped his trek through the hall. He turned around to make sure she was still following.
 
Leanne looked around as they walked, hoping to remember how to get to the faculty room and whatnot. She looked at the passing boys, hoping to find faces that she'd eventually see in the classroom. She wondered if she could start a conversation with her guide but apparently, both of them weren't really talkers. She scooted her glasses up as the boy turned to her. "I'm still here. Keep going."
