Gilded Age RP

"Don't be so rough with them though, if you push them too hard we will lose more then we will get, plus look at it this way, if we lose to many people, you would end up losing your job as well, because what would be the point of a foremen if there is to little people"

"Yes, sir," said Mr. Gregson. "And that girl, Harris, that was with you, be careful around her. She's a harlot, that one."

Grace heard what he had said, as her machine was nearby. She had never thought she could hate anyone before, but Mr. Gregson had crossed that line. She would never say anything, but she truly hated it.

((Harris?))

"Whether that is true or not, I will not tolerate someone to say such thing about a fellow employee, don't let me hear about this kind of thing again understood?"

(Grace's last name)

"Yes, sir," said Mr. Gregson looking down.

Grace overheard that and smiled, happy that Mr. Gregson was being put in his place.

"Now then, I think I'll make a few changes to this... place, it seems to be working in a good order but... I believe I can make it into something better, If anyone needs me, and I mean anyone, tell them to come to my office, the door will be open at all times"

After speaking so some of the higher staff members he would make it to his new office which overlooked the work floor as he started making himself acquainted of whats was where "of course my dad was a neat freak in storage... " sighed...

Grace continued slaving away at her machine. She worked as quickly as possible, wanting to make as much as she could today.

He would move to the window of his office as he stared down at the workplace "Hmm.. quite... sufficient I would say... I guess the only thing left really is... relations around here..."

Grace was soon done with her morning work. At her lunch break, she went up to Zegrath's office. She hadn't had time to make lunch for herself this morning, so she would not eat until she got home.

He would look to the doorway as she came "Oh Grace, is something bothering you? or did you need something?"

"Oh, that's alright, from what I can tell he seems like someone who see's himself above others. Have you eaten yet by the way? Because from what I noticed on the way here you didn't really have anything on you"

"I don't think that would be wise since your doing a lot of physical work" He would move to his bag grabbing out a container and holding it towards her "Here have it, you'll need it"

"No its alright, just take it, it'll be my pleasure to give you something to eat, Plus your growing into a fine lady so you must be healthy for that" Says with a smile

Grace smiled at him and a blush painted her cheeks. She took the food from him. "Thank you sir," said Grace. "But I am no lady."

"Says who? Your a hard working employee who not only cares for herself but her family as well all on her own, that's something rare to see even to me. So to me, your probably the best lady I've met so far"

Grace's cheeks were bright red at his words. She had never had anyone give her such a compliment. "Thank you, sir," said Grace. "That's proabably the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me."

"Well its my pleasure be that person" He'd give a smile "So tell me about your sister, how is she coping with, well... just the two of you?"

"She, well, she's taking everything better than I am," said Grace. "She's an innocent child with not a care in the world."
