It was an average Saturday night for Tavros. That is until Vriska had him and a few of their other friends go out on a "paranormal investigation". According to her there was supposedly some haunting nearby her house which was also near the woods. The only one of them who was excited besides Vriska was strangely enough Aradia. Vriska was leading them and stopped the group right as they reached the front of her house. "There should be something around here! Let's go look around in pairs!" Vriska said.

She turned around and looked at the five others in her group. "Karkat go with Terezi...Kanaya go with Aradia...and Tavros can go with me!" She decided.

Everyone except Tavros was fine with her choices. He didn't really like being around her since he got prosthetic legs. She became harder on him. The teams split up and Vriska led him to the front of the woods.

(I hope this isn't too out of character for them >~<)

(( It certainly doesn't seem like it so far ^_^ I'm far more worried about my performance in this though xD ))

Karkat groaned a bit to himself. While he didn't really mind being with Terezi, he just hated the fact that he was being dragged out into the woods in the middle of the night for some stupid investigation. He hated any kind of ghostly things anyway. Haunted houses, horror games, ghosts in general. They all scared him enough to leave deep scars in his think pan.

However, as Tavros and Vriska reached the edge of the woods, little did they know of what was watching over them. A ghostly figure hid up in the trees and glanced down on the whole group. A large smirk started to form on his face as devious plans started to invade the depths of his mind. A ghostly Gamzee was waiting for them all. He quickly made his body completely invisible and descended upon the group, weaving through the trees of the forest. When he had just enough distance between his ghostly body and Tavros and Vriska, he called out to them.

"Honk~." His voice echoed through the trees, barely reaching the house. Karkat was just about to go inside when he heard the soft noise and tensed up, moving close to Terezei. "What was that? I heard a noise. Guys, c'mon maybe we should just go home. I mean ghosts aren't even that cool anymore, why should we waste our time looking around for some?" Karkat spat out excuses as fast as he could, his muscles tight as he waited to see if any other strange noises would invade his ears.

"Honk~."

Aradia and Kanaya were only a bit surprised by the noise. "Come on Karkat this isn't that bad!" Aradia smiled. Kanaya only nodded to agree with her.

Tavros nearly jumped at the sound which could now be heard throughout the forest. He thought Vriska had set this thing up to scare everyone. That or be using this as a technique to help him with his confidence issues which weren't very troubling to him anymore. He looked over at her and could tell how excited she was. "Yes I knew it was real! Let's go look for it Tavros!" She tugged on his arm.

"How do you know it's a ghost though? It could be someone trying to scare us." He asked.

Vriska rolled her eyes, "Oh please! What moron would be out here just to scare us? Pretty pathetic. Don't you want to see one?"

"Not really." He admitted. All he wanted to do now was to go home.

"Don't be such a wimp! God I'm going without you then if you're going to be so lame!" She let go of his arm and went straight into the forest leaving the group behind.

Tavros sighed, "Where did she go now...?" He felt nervous seeing how his partner left without him.

He mustered up his courage and went in after her. At this time of night it made things difficult for him to see. Right now all he wanted was to find her and get this over with.

Karkat looked over at Aradia and Kanaya with a grimace. "It is that bad! I'm sorry, but I'd love to get through the night without getting possessed or have my soul stolen by some ghost!" he said, groaning.

Gamzee snickered as he watched the reactions of everyone in the group. He grinned when he saw that Vriska had separated from Tavros completely. That's what he really wanted. To get one of them alone. The real fun would start when he had them by themselves. Gamzee followed just above Tavros as he ran after his partner. He floated down right next to Tavros and whispered in his ear.

"Honk honk," he said, his voice a low rattle. He made himself partially visible at this point and trailed his finger lightly around the nape of Tavros' neck, letting out a small giggle of enjoyment.

Gamzee had haunted this house and the neighboring forest for years, tricking kids who wanted to walk by or test to see if the rumors of the place being inhabited by ghosts were true. However, he never did anything too mean to people. He just liked spooking them and scaring them enough to make them run off whenever he got bored. Tonight though, Gamzee had a feeling he wouldn't be getting bored of this group for a little while.

Aradia rolled her eyes while still smiling, "I doubt anything like that'll happen. Vriska didn't mention anything about this ghost taking any souls or anything." She said. "Not to mention we're in groups. I certainly won't tolerate any sorts of actions towards my friends." Kanaya added.

"Hello? Come on Vriska you can't just abandon everyone else out here!" Tavros was headed in a path in the forest. It was getting darker and darker the further he ran. It became more and more difficult for him to tell where he and his surroundings were.

Suddenly, he felt something barely touch the nape of his neck. A low unidentifiable voice could be heard from behind him as well. He felt a chill go up his spine as a response to it and nearly shrieked. He knew it couldn't have been any of his friends, none of them could've found him so quickly in the dark. Now he could confirm that Vriska was right. There really was a ghost out here. But maybe it wasn't evil. He had always loved fantasy creatures and things existing in stories. And from those the scary creatures weren't always the ones to be afraid of.

"Uh hello?" Tavros asked.

Gamzee made himself invisible once more and floated around Tavros as he started to panic. He phased back and forth through the trees, letting silence set in. After all, he knew how to make someone nervous. He grinned as Tavros called out to the forest. Then, a devious thought entered his mind and he positioned himself directly in front of Tavros. He waited a few more seconds before making himself completely visible, appearing in front of Tavros in an instant. He shoved his face right at Tavros' so that there were mere inches between the two of them.

"Hello, my invertebrother!" he yelled excitedly, a huge grin forming on his face.

Back near the house, Karkat was still insisting on going home. Terezi just settled on grabbing his hand and dragging him into the house despite his many, loud protests.

"Oh, c'mon, Karkat! This isn't even that scary," Terezi teased, pushing up her red glasses.

"Oh, yeah! That's very reassuring Terezi. I love hearing words of encouragement from the blind girl!" he snapped at her.

"No need to be rude, ya know. I can taste this place just fine and nothing seems scary in the slightest," she said, letting go of him for a moment to cross her arms and seem to 'glare' in his general direction.

Tavros remained still as he waited for a response from who or whatever it was that was out there with him. After he waited for a few more seconds he decided to give up and continue looking for Vriska. But before he could do anything, he was greeted by another face that was dangerously close to him. It caught him completely off guard and he stumbled back quickly. But when he did, it caused him to lose balance and he fell down on his back on the dirt of the forest. He quickly sat up and had a better look at who it was. The ghost looked to be about his age but there was something...odd about his look.

From there Tavros cautiously got back up from the ground. Whenever he fell down it became difficult for him to get back up. He still wasn't used to his legs. "Whoa...uh w-who are you?" He asked. He was still a bit unstable after getting up.

Kanaya and Aradia were still where they were before and just watched Karkat and Terezi argue amongst each other. Aradia was getting a bit impatient. She was excited and ready to go see a ghost in person.

"You two can figure out what to do on your own. Me and Kanaya here are going after the other two!" Aradia grinned.

"Whatever you say." Kanaya shrugged. The two started walking in after Tavros and Vriska.
