Fantasy Ghost Town

Joey approached out from behind the chair, a worried look upon his face. He didn't like being scolded, nor did he like the woman with the tattoos. "Yes Rose?" His voice was childish, a hint of worry evident that he was in trouble. Joey's purple eyes were wide, hoping for just a warning like he usually got. (@ActionPony )

Jamie's face lit up and she stood up from her seat. "Really!? Have come into contact with any? Is there an area in Limbo where the activity is reported the most? Can you describe one that you've seen before? Would consider the ghosts demons, angels, or lingering spirits?" She asked excitedly, her hand dying to jot down the woman's answers. Suddenly, a cold breeze flew past her arm and made the hairs on her neck stand on end. She quickly shook the feeling and payed heed to the lady again but not ridding her mind of the weird feeling.
"You were scaring her. But I think she might want to meet you face-to-face."

Rose turned to Jamie.

"Jamie, this is Joey. I'm sorry if he frightened you. It was just a prank."

Jamie turned around to see and small boy. He gave off a light of his own and his eyes were bright purple. "No... Not at all," as if she couldn't get any happier Jamie began to smile from ear to ear. "He didn't frighten me... He's absolutely amazing. Joey, is it?" He reached out her hand to him, feeling around in 6in. radius of him, feeling the temperature change. Her fingertips felt she just stuck them in dry ice. She wanted so badly to feel him. "May I?"

Joey saw the girl reach out her hand to touch him, his eyes staring at the misleading hand. Was she going to comment on his cold body, or his pale like skin, things that when he saw other boys made him sad. He looked onto Rose, wanting to know whether or not he should allow it. "Rosy?" His voice was unsure and inflicted that he was beginning to get scared. (@ActionPony @Battleworn )

"Jamie, please don't touch him unless he wants you to. Joey, please don't feel the need to indulge her. There is a such thing as basic politeness around."

Rose had had to break up such incidents several times before. The reporters were always so curious around the ghosts.

"Oh," Jamie withdrew her hand and stood up," My apologies." Her eyebrows furrowed in embarrassment. She turned back to the woman with the tattoos. "So, any chance you might be able to answer any of my questions?"

Hannah, surprised that Jamie had asked, nodded.

"Sure I can, although I've only been here for a day. I'm still not completely out of the big city at heart."

"That's completely fine. Just what you know would be great." Jamie reassured her as she sat down in a chair and readied her notebook. Before beginning, she stopped herself. "Oh, I forgot to ask what your name was."

"Hannah."

"Ok, Mrs. Hannah, answer to the best of your ability. Like I asked Ms. Rose, have you had any first-hand experiences with paranormal beings? Other than Mr. Joey right here."

Joey listened intently on the conversation, but the moment her hand was retracted he lost his seriousness. Why she wanted to touch him was obvious, but it always dawned upon that it was the only reason anyone would touch him. With a heavy sigh he returned his thoughts the conversation, not moving away from the chair.

"Oh yes. Everyone here has, it's just that they don't consider them para-normal. I don't think they realize that there are no ghosts elsewhere. My first experience with both the paranormal and the local attitude towards it was when I wanted a drink here, and nobody took my freak-out over the innkeeper seriously."

Rose was silently intrigued. There were no ghosts elsewhere? That might explain why the reporters were always so curious about them.

Joey reached out his hand to pull on Rose's dress, trying to understand what the girl meant. "There are ghost nowhere else? What happens when people die Rosey?".

"I have no idea."

Talk of your really hard questions...

A frown came over Joey's face as he stared up at her, not sure if she knew and just didn't want to explain it. "But, that means that when mommies and daddies lose their kids... they don't have to see them anymore?" He felt lucky for those children, not having to see their parents leaving them.. overcome with grief and fear.

[i'm not sure what you're trying to say here.]

(can someone update me?)
[so, Jamie is trying to interview Rose on the paranormal activity in Limbo. She's met Joey, and was quite interested in him, and is currently talking to Hannah, because Rose doesn't have much perspective on the whole 'paranormal' thing.]

[Okay, are you still here? And could you explain what Joey means?]

[You still here?]

((Joey means that other places kids actually die, and don't just turn to ghost. So their parents don't have to experience having a ghost child.))

There was a frown on Rose's face.

"Apparently, they don't."

Rose herself was wondering about the implications of not having ghosts. Did that mean that when a somebody killed a person, sometimes they couldn't be punished, because their victim couldn't identify them? Did it mean that whenever sickness claimed somebody, their relatives didn't know whether they died happy or sad? Did that mean that husbands and wives could be parted by death?

Just how much different was this bigger world from Limbo?

Joey looked up to Rose, watching her unchanging face contemplating the new knowledge. "Rosie? You ok?" Joey pulled her sleeve, wondering why her and the lady were so quiet. This couldn't be that hard to understand could it, it just means people stay dead.

Rose, startled out of her contemplation by Joey, looked back at him and said: "Yeah... It's just implications. The outside world is weird."

Well, weird or not, she still would have to learn to deal with it if she ever wanted to be a good leader.
