Ghost in the Shell/Silent Mobius inspired Rifts Japan game idea.

Sounds like a plan. If you are interested in serious mental powers, you can try the Mind Melter character class. Or, if you want a more physical combatant with some mental powers, the Cyber Knight would be a good choice.
 
Btw is body transfer/mind transfer a thing in this system? If so I might have a good idea for my character.

Off of the top of my head, I don't think so. I'm not familiar with any power that can do that.

I can fit one more into the mix, then I'm going to close the game. Do you have any experience with the Palladium system, specifically the Rifts game?

No problem. I've had plenty of new players to the system before.

A few things to go over. First, this is a good aligned game, so no evil characters. Second, there are two different kinds of characters that are being allowed, one side is from the magic-heavy Empire of Japan, and the second group is more tech oriented from the Republic of Japan. The two groups are being pulled together to make a demon hunting team to aid the two nations in forming an alliance. If you are going to join, you will need to be from one of these two groups.

Ok. I can work with that. I'm at work right now and away from my books, so please forgive me having to ad lib some of this.

There are several different character classes that can be pulled in. Here are a few:

Powered armor pilot
Partial or fully reconstructed cyborg, but still basically human looking
Dragon borg - human brain in a humanoid dragon-style cyborg body with heavy guns and armor but no longer human in appearance
Crazy Ninja - they use brain implants to increase strength, speed and agility(and a few metal powers) at the cost of ever increasing insanity
Ninja Juicer - similar to the Crazy, but instead of implants that cause madness, they use drugs to boost the body at the cost of burning up your lifespan

There are a few others, but those are a few to consider

Powered armor pilot. The GITS aspect is what drew me to this RP, after all.

I'm holding on a player that's supposed to be posting a character, but she's not done so yet. If I don't hear from her soon I'll let you know so you can jump in.
 
Lol no worries. I have been a teacher for the system before, so I will be able to aid you. I'll probably end up making a character for you with some feedback from you, but at the moment I'm at work so I'll have to wait a bit to get to my books.

We have several people from the tech heavy Republic of Japan, but only two people playing magic-type characters at the moment. What would you be more interested in?
 
We could use a classic samauri if that sounds good to you.
