Getting the Circle Together

It is? DAMN IT, PEOPLE NEED TO STOP MAKING ME BUY BOOKS.
Still, you gents have a point regarding the ED. It's an idea I heard on the Internet, and liked to the point of adopting.

I will consider my position.
There's no reason your position can't be right. The ebon-dragon might not have been a hoser in the time before the first age. He was changed fundamentally after his defeat, albiet less than the other primordials. So, any nuances that might make him the antithesis of the Loom now weren't necessarily there when the Loom, and fate, and Fate, and destiny, and Destiny, were all invented.

And a point I've argued for many times! Perhaps he's more changed than he thinks he is.

It's like in marriage when your spouse says you've changed, but you don't think you have. Denial! Haha.

Personally, it works best to have them already Exalted. The odds of 5 mortals Exalting in quick succession, especially if they're a perfect circle of Solars, is very very very very very VERY unlikely (although, could make a very interesting plot point). Have them already Exalted, and, honestly, they don't have to meet all at once. In my most recent game, 2 met, then they met another 2, and soon they'll meet their missing Twilight. It's far more believable that destiny draws them together in small batches.

I'd again contend that Exalted is not believable and, therefore, such perspective should not limit your storytelling.

Uh yeah but they got something called Fate that is a very real data, and some said that Fate has its own ninja teams to take care of its business when things go out of hand... so...

If Fate ensures that many solars exalt/gather in one place at the same time, you can be sure that there will be some ninjas around... wether they want to help, or kill the poor solars.

I think this much more likely if Sidereals have organized things to get the Solars together.

As a (at one time) related side note, I've organized the character creation/first session and I think I'm just going to start running characters as the players finish. Start a narrative at point A and add the characters at points as they become available.

Hey, what about the Gold Stars ?
In my opinion, not enough influence to pull off something like bringing 4 or more Celestial Exalts together. They might be about to hide one, or delay a Wyld Hunt from coming down around the ears of a group that big, but not Fate-craft them together from across Creation.

Tch, you just need to know your targets and pull the strings of the world around them (or intervene in disguise) so they are gathered in one spot.

Or have players like mine who seem to consistently keep near Nexus/Lookshy and tend to start with Artifacts to keep them outside of Fate.

Pesky bastards, but it makes it so much fun.
