FIRST POST --
Emmanuel ran a hand through his hair as he sat, stuck outside of his apartment. This had been one of the many times he had forgotten his keys in a rush to get to work in time. Each time, he had to sit and wait for his landlord to unlock the door, and each time he had to listen to the same old repeated words, "Try not to do this again, please. I'm very busy." It was getting pretty old and pretty annoying. He rolled his eyes as his landlord walked away down the hall and shuffled himself into his cold, dark apartment. He flicked on the light and made sure he turned the heat on before changing into baggy clothing, only to be changing into something else when he checks his Facebook to find a party event happening at the bar and club, Poppy Z's. This would take hours to get ready for.
Once Manny found decent clothes, he turned down the heat and grabbed everything he needed, not forgetting his keys this time. He didn't bother bringing much money because one, he can't drink yet, and two, some guys usually buy him things. He knew that after this, he was gonna end up waking up in bed with another guy and then he'd tend to his hangover routine. Manny began walking outside the apartments and towards the busy streets. It was only 11:18 at night and the club usually stayed open until three in the morning, which was way too late for this boy. His job required him to be clocked in at 8 AM sharp, so he'd need some time to sleep, of course.
Manny finally got to Poppy Z's, the line pretty long, but with persuasion, he slowly worked himself up to the middle of the bunchy line. It took awhile, but he finally got to where the bouncers were checking IDs. Manny handed in his ID and watched as they grabbed a black sharpie, marking an 'X' on his right hand to make sure no one at the bar served him alcoholic drinks. He made his way in and quickly stuffed his things into his pockets as he made his way towards the bathroom to wash the marker off. There wouldn't be any fun in living with restrictions on life and this boy can't wait forever until his next birthday. He walked out of the bathroom and back to the bar, sitting down on a stool and pulling out his phone, pretending to look busy while looking through his Instagram.
