"We have noble blood in us, the most they'll do is scold me and remind you of their riches," Em chuckled.

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum chuckled, "That's true. Either way, looks like you'll be in charge from now on."

 

[Dragongal]

Em frowned, then very softly said "Cal... Just because I'm the one with the land, doesn't mean I'm in charge. We're married, everything is even. Ww both get a say in everything, no matter what. Okay?"

 

[Solar Daddy]

"I know love," Callum told her, reaching out to give her hand a squeeze. "Still, the land is your family's." He responded

 

[Dragongal]

"Once they are gone, it is our land. We're married, so everything is shared," Em said. She leaned her head in on his shoulder. "The lands will soon officially be LaFaren-Cross lands."

 

[Solar Daddy]

"Well, when it's just us two it'll be just Cross lands." Callum said. "You are mine, love. We're both Cross's."

 

[Dragongal]

Em winced a little, then very quietly said, "I know. I wish I could hear you say that without me flinching, though.... I like you saying it, I like what it means, but I just reflexively wince and get anxious...."

 

[Solar Daddy]

"What's wrong?" Callum asked, looking over at her. "Did I say something?"

 

[Dragongal]

Emmalia blushed with shame and looked away. "Just - I don't want you to feel bad for something you didn't say to hurt me."

 

[Solar Daddy]

"What are you talking about Em?" Callum asked, turning her to face him. "What is it?"

 

[Dragongal]

"Just that you said, 'you are mine,' and - and Halciet would say that a lot. I know you mean it entirely differently, I know what you mean and I do love what it means but I can't helo but get a small adrenaline rush when I hear that said," Em explained quietly, not meeting his eyes.

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum heart broke a little from Emmalia's words, and said, "I'm sorry Em, I'll watch what I say." He kissed her head. "I'm sorry." He repeated again.

 

[Dragongal]

"Please don't feel sorry," Em sighed. "You did nothing wrong, and I like what you meant. I just... My head and my body have different reactions to hearing that. My body gets all tense, which makes my head nervous, even though I know I'm safe."

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum nodded slowly, and kissed her gently. "Just know that I love you Emmalia. More than anything."

 

[Dragongal]

"I love you too, Cal," Em sighed. She hugged him loosely, then said, "I'm glad we can take a break before going West.

 

[Solar Daddy]

"I do too," Callum said, and responded to her loose hug by giving her a tight hug.

 

[Dragongal]

Em relaxed against Callum, and quietly asked, "Is it bad that I don't want to leave this bed at all?"

 

[Solar Daddy]

"No." Callum said with a quick kiss. "We can stay here as long as you want."

 

[Dragongal]

"Good. I'm gonna stay here with you and just be cuddled all day," Em said in an effort to lighten the mood.

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum smiled softly. "I like the sound of that. You're adorable love."

 

[Dragongal]

"Why thank you," Em said. She curled up against him, making herself small in comparison to him.

 

[Solar Daddy]

Callum curled up around her a bit to help her feel protected and safe. He kissed her head and said, "I'm so happy to be with you."

 

[Dragongal]

"I feel the same. After everything, I'm glad we can just be together for a while. Not be separated, at all. I don't want us to be separated," Em mumbled.

 

[Solar Daddy]

"Neither do I. Yiu said you're going to enherit the LaFaren lands, but so we need to take it right away? Can't we just hold occupancy there without having any of the work that goes with it for a bit?"

 

[Dragongal]

"Until my parents are dead, we really don't do anything," Em chuckled.
