"Shut up." Midas told her. "You're an obomination. Do you enjoy all the pain you bring? Killing innocents? I don't know how you keep morals with the history you have."

Emmalia growled, "Of course I didn't enjoy any of it." Even when she had been forced by that mage all that while ago to kill the girl, she had enjoyed the blood, but hated the act. The very memory was enough to upset her stomach. How did she keep her morals while allowing herself to live? "I just make it my job to kill animals like you to try to start to make up for it."

"You're the one who's a monster trying to hide as a human." Midas hissed back, forcing her to turn down a staircase and in front of a dark room. "Inside. Now."

Emmalia stepped into the dark room, then turned and grabbed his dagger before slamming the door to the dark room shut, figuring she was going to be attacked anyway, so she needed to be armed.

Midas growled and ordered two of his men to pry open the door and rush in, with plenty more running in after them to attack Emmalia.

Em used the stolen knife, and caused some damage, even potentially killing two of the men, but soon fell and succumbed to the sheer number of enemies.

They all knew vampires couldn't die easily, and they took their time getting in as many good punches and kicks that they could. When Midas came in, they bound her to a chair. "Little bitch," He said, looking at his wounded men. "You are a monster."

Emmalia coughed up some blood, then spat at Midas. "At least I'm not so heartless as to attack a girl who doesnt even want to be here."

"Then you won't mind if we kill you." Midas said, holding out the knife again. "We can make it look like an accident. Or you can just do it yourself."

Emmalia didn't want to die - if she died, she didn't know what Callum would do with himself. So she had to admit defeat. "I won't do it for you, and I doubt it'll look like an accident with me being tied up." Maybe she ought to just die. She was a monster - but Cal needed her.

"Still disobedient to the end. I swear, you'll burn in hell for eternity." Midas held out the dagger, pressing the blade against her skin. "I hope you know we tortured your husband before we let him go. We made him think it was all your fault. Getting captured, being abused - and it was. We didn't even need to lie to him."

Em gritted her teeth to try not to give him the satisfaction of hearing her scream, but hearing what he said about Callum, tears started rolling down her cheeks. It really was her fault - her and Halciet's. Callum shouldn't have been hurt, not for her sake.

Midas ordered the guards to shut the door and remain on the other side. When they were alone, he said, "You're nothing but an object to him anyway. I'll bet he's already found someone to fill your place. They're probably better at being a wife than you are. It's a good thing you aren't one anymore." Midas slammed the knife down into her hand and into the chair.

Emmalia screamed that time, then panted and hissed, "You're just jealous. Nobody loves you, and they never will." She knew Cal wouldn't move on so quickly. He had been revived because he loved her. Maybe he didn't deserve to deal with her, but he wouldn't lie like that.

"Why hasn't he come back to save you then? Of he's as heroic as he made himself out to be, where is your knight in shining armor? Probably back at his castle enjoying a life without a cancerous monster leeching off him." Midas pulled out the knife.

Em grunted as the knife was removed, and lots of her blood began to fall. It was half cauterized already, but still bled heavily. "Cal will kill all of you, if I don't do it first," she panted.

"Why would he kill the people who took you off his hands? You ever think maybe Callum and Halciet collaborated together? Callum got tired of you, and Halciet needed a new doll for his collection. Win win situation for both of them."

Emmalia laughed. "Idiot. Why would Halciet torture him, then? Why did they capture Callum, then, when he could have left me here? Now you're really struggling to lie."

"Obviously Halciet didn't realize just how much of a pain you are." He chuckled. "I made sure to tell him how vile and impure you are. Just look at you - you might as well be a ghoul. You fit in with them better." Midas stepped up behind her, and began sawing away at her hair. "You don't deserve to have anything of value to yourself. You shouldn't even have the clothes on your back."

Em gasped and leaned forward immediately. "Stop it!" Her hair was her one vanity, she didn't want to lose that. She loved having long hair. It made her feel elegant, and more feminine, less like a warrior all the time.

"Oh, hit a nerve did I?" He asked, pulling her head back by her hair to look up at him. "Just remember, you deserve all of this." He continued to cut her hair until it was completely gone from her shoulders down.

Em could feel the weight difference from having so much hair cut, and she could feel another tear rolling down her cheek. Knowing she couldn't hope to fight Midas, she sat with her head forward in defeat.

Midas slowly stepped in front of her, saying, "You look a lot different without the hair. A lot less ladylike if you ask me." HE looked down at her risk, and asked, "Is this it?" Slowly, he peeled away her brace and sleeve, revealing her arm. "Isn't that a pity. You should never have been one of us."

When she realized what he was doing, Em had hissed at him and tried to pull away, even managing to shake her chair a bit. When her bite mark was revealed, she looked away and growled, "I never wanted to be. But now that I am, you can be damn sure I'm going to use it to help people, not murder them like you!"

"Ask the bones of your victims if you've helped them." Midas said coldly. He pressed the tip of his silver dagger into her bite mark.
