Hello everyone!
I thought I would finally make a thread about my general interests here, rather than posting up with my wants as they come, since it is quite possible to plot things out from genres and ideas.
First, my expectations:
· Don’t God-Mod. It is usually acceptable to assume movement from one place to another, but overall, don’t dictate what my character does. If you have a question about this, like you want to do something for the purpose of the plot, feel free to PM me about it.
· I only RP on the threads, so I’m not going to do a PM-based RP.
· I expect at least two paragraphs. If you can’t do that consistently, then I am going to get bored with the plot and not want to respond.
· I prefer to play multiple characters as the plot progresses, and I’ll expect my RP partner to pick up various mains and sides as necessary/wanted.
I think that covers things pretty well, besides what the general RPN rules are. On to the other things, what I’m interested in!
Genres:
· Medieval Fantasy.
I enjoy the political intrigue. Theocracies are fun to play with, as are rival kingdoms or civil wars. The standard “evil wizard and a group of heroes” can turn out fun. I usually prefer this to be all humans with the fantastical elements of magic and perhaps supernatural non-humanoid creatures. I can be persuaded to utilize some humanoid intelligent creatures, though, given a good plot. I tend to find it fun to utilize a female knight (crossdressed or not), and a snake of a nobleman who (usually) has his heart in the right place even if his actions are very wrong.
· Modern Fantasy.
Bring me vampires, hunters, werewolves, angels, and demons, or hunters and monsters ala Supernatural, monster-of-the-week style.
· Apocalypse.
I have a plot idea that involves the apostles being reincarnated during the reign of the Antichrist, as well as the Christ. I am also open to other possibilities, utilizing the Seven Deadly Sins, Zombies, or the Horsemen, for example. Though a fan of Fallout, I’m not a huge fan of nuclear apocalypse scenarios.
· “Alternate History”
This one is actually very specific. The only time period I look to do is Rome, and that is at the time of Caesar’s death. I prefer this to be an AU, or in other words, all the characters replaced, but not the roles—so there would still be someone in the position of Brutus, for example, but twisted our own ways. I also prefer it if women have power to be in politics and the legions, because otherwise it gets so boring with them being limited to only a few roles.
· Fandoms.
I’ll just list these here and you can PM me for more details: Doctor Who, Final Fantasy 8 and 10, Kingdom Hearts, Black Butler. There may be others, but these are the only ones I’m really willing to RP.
