"I hope we can find somewhere safe..." Ametrine said as the ship lifted off, standing and looking out the window at Homeworld one last time before they finally got to leave. Sitting back down in his chair, he looked back at Nephrite and smiled. "We haven't really gotten a chance to talk, huh? What have you been doing here since you decided to leave?"

"Not much," Nephrite admitted. "Piloting ships, helping with ship maintenance." Committing mild treason. "Regular nephrite stuff." She didn't plan to spill her entire history to someone she had just met. Plus there wasn't a lot of interesting things, not except for a few recent events. However those were way too new, and Nephrite wasn't willing to talk about them yet. Maybe one day, but not now. "What about you?"

"Eh, long story." He got a little more comfortable in his chair and watched the stars as they kept going through space. "We had the same captain when we were working on Homeworld, we were in a group that was trying to conquer a new planet for the diamonds. Citrine was there as a guide to show everyone what was on the new planet, he studied a bunch for it just so he could tag along with Amethyst, who was there for extra muscle if they encountered any monsters. Before that we'd grown very close, but our captain caught us trying to fuse, and... We had to steal a ship and get back home and hide." Ametrine frowned a little. "We've been in the same place since you came around, 2 years or so."

"Two whole years?" Nephrite said, turning towards Ametrine. "That is ridiculous amount of time to be stuck down there." She couldn't believe being alone in the same drab environment for so long. Heck, she had gotten bored on her old ship! At least then there were other gems, and places to see! Nephrite would have poofed out of boredom after just a month down there.

"Don't worry about it, I got used to it after a while." Ametrine started to remember how unbearably boring it would get, but at least the two of them could talk in their thoughts. "I started ignoring how boring it was because we were staying there to be safe from the robots. Anyway, are we getting close?" He leaned over and looked at the screen in front of Nephrite.

"Yeah, we should be there soon," Nephrite said. The screen showed an image of a ship slowly approaching a moon shaped object. From her calculations they should be landing right about... now. The ship shook as it landed on the moon. "We're here."

"Looks like a nice planet." Ametrine smiled and stood up, standing behind Nephrite's chair and putting his hands on it. He didn't really notice anything dangerous around, which would be good for them. "Do you know if anyone else is here?"
