Fantasy Gehenna

The Master

The Master of Reality
You've woken up on the side of a mountain. You don't know where you are or who anyone else is. You don't know the year and you don't know how you got there. There are two passes you can enter, the one to the left or the one to the right. There is also turning back, which leads down the mountain by your perspective. You also see a man in the snowy part, only a couple dozen yards away. He looks to be trudging slowly more into the mountain. After a moment he turns back and looks at you and the ones with you. He seems to know something you don't about the situation. Do you venture forward? Or go back? Your call.

"Let me see... Him, her, her, her... her, her, her, him aaaand her. Wait... Is that one blind? Her too... Bring them here... heheh... haha... hahaha... hahahahahahahaha! Let the games begin!"

A man made his way slowly up the mountain. Gehenna was said to be unreachable on foot, that the only way to arrive was to be invited. Or picked. The man could feel though that the story would be changing. It was time for things to end, exactly where they began. The reign of The Family needed to finally stop. He stopped after a few more feet and turned his head, feeling the new arrivals. The man stood and waited for them to rise. It was time, after all these years. Time for The End.

Hachi groaned as she awoke, her vision slowly clearing as her eyes fluttered open. Where was she and what had happened. Her head throbbed slightly as she sat up, reaching up to shove we scarlet hued hair from her eyes. She stood, sighing as she brushed dirt and leaves from her clothes. Checking her body for injuries she found none and all her weapons seemed to be in place. This was all quite strange. Looking around she noticed others, still unconscious on the ground. One however, a man in armor, was standing. Perhaps he had some answers.

Rhialla woke up disorientated, her vision was blurry and she could feel the freezing weather crawl across her skin. Her connection to any of her rubies and other powers had been blocked out leaving her feeling empty, like she was missing a piece of herself. Images flashed in her mind, fire, animals, forests and...water. Her clothes were soaking and the icy snow around her was only making things worse. Nevertheless Rhialla pushed herself up off the ground, her arms wrapped tightly around herself and she scanned the area through steely blue eyes, her red hair whipping across her face. Several other people were around her, each looked human at first glance, Rhialla ignored them. Humans were never good. But one, another redhead was conscious. "D-Do you know where we are?" She asked, her teeth chattering, Rhialla had always been extremely sensitive to lower temperatures, she needed to find shelter or a flame and fast.

"Not at all..."

Hachi turned, her gaze going to the person who spoke. A female who, like herself, had long red hair. The woman seemed to be freezing, something that didn't surprise her much considering that she appeared to be soaked. Hachi had barely noticed the cold, but the. Again she was trained specifically to block out minor nuisances like a bit of cold. As she studied the woman a soft bark caught her attention. At her feet her small black wolf pup Kairo was circling, probably having just awoken as confused as she was. Bending she scooped the pup into her arms.

"But I'm willing to bet that the one in the armor does..."

At those words Rhialla turned her attention to a figure in the distance, he was a ways up the mountain and simply standing there, waiting. For what? Rhialla touched the stones embedded into the skin of her throat, she needed to be warm, to feel their power again. "Sh-Should we g-go to h-him?" She asked, she didn't know who this other person was or anyone else around them but for now she needed to worry about herself first and foremost and hopefully the figure would have answers. Maybe even a spare coat, though she doubted it.

(Veril is not the man. So please adjust your posts because there is no man in armor anywhere near. Thank you.)

The man walked over to the group. He could tell that only two were awake so far, which was a good thing. He was covered in wraps and cloth, his dark brown eyes the only thing visible about him after a certain amount of time had passed from his walking towards them all. Once he finally got to the group of people, he scanned them all. The man stood nine feet tall, towering over them. He took off a few of the layers on him and tossed them to the girls. The man spoke, his voice soft but experienced. "My name is Gideon. Welcome, to Gehenna."

Rhialla snatched the cloth from the mysterious man gratefully, pulling it around her shuddering shoulders. She studied him briefly before working up the strength to question him. "Gehenna? W-Where on Earth is Gehe-henna? And who a-are you? D-Did you bring us here?" Although she was too weak at the moment, Rhialla reached for one of her blades only to find that it was absent from it's usual place in it's holster. She swore under her breath, the swords had been amongst her other things near her campsite during the fire....

Rin was curled into a tight ball on top of the softened snow due to her body weight. Slowly but surely, here head began to shift its position, eyelids raising to behold glistening blue irises, ones of which first sight of view met the snow. Freezing for a moment, in an attempt to recollect her thoughts, Rin jumped up, more so of sitting up and stumbling backwards. Once her gaze roze, she took sight of what to her looked like an old man, speaking to two other girls. 'Did they know...what this was?' Rin's first train of thought would be she could have been sucked into a movie. Children's imagination. Jumping to her feet, Rin shifted her gaze to look down the mountainside. Moment later, she burst out with a comment. "What movie am I in?"

Jazmyne awoke, with her toys still in hand. She sat up, groaning, and looked at three people in front of her. She just sat there, staring at them. She hugged her two toys and whimpered. She stood up and walked over to them, tugging on one of the girls skirts, trying to get attention.

Rhialla's questions were never answered, instead she was interrupted by two children one of which tugged on her clothes. Now that Rhialla had been covered slightly, more so her neck, the power she felt from them began to increase again. The stones littering her neck and lower left cheek glowed a dull red and she knelt on the ground next to the little girl. "Where are your parents?" She asked looking at both children, one was almost as tall as she was, if not her height, she was clearly older than the younger girl who had gotten her attention first. She laid a hand on the smaller girl's shoulder, hoping she didn't scare the little thing and looked around. There didn't seem to be anybody who really looked like they were parents although she could be wrong.

Jazmyne looked at her with big eyes. She couldn't speak, because she doesn't remember how. She gave one her toys to the girl and smiled.

Hachi caught the cloth with one hand studying it momentarily. However she did not put it on and instead tossed it to the other girl a motion of her indicating she should give it to one of the children. Hachi wasn't worried about getting cold any time soon and Kairo had enough fur to keep him warm. The wolf pup was at current, growling at the man from his position cradled in Hachi's arms. The female sighed softly before sitting in the snow, folding her legs Indian style and closing her eyes to meditate. Asking questions now was likely to get no answer anyway. They would probably have to wait for the others to wake up before that happened.

"Hmm...."

Otoko woke up with a start, covered in cold sweat. His vision was blurry, white smudged across it like a painting. He groaned and rubbed his eyes, wondering what was causing this strange array of white. What he saw shocked him. It was white, white, white, and white! nothing but snow around him!

....

Well. That wasn't correct. There was a old man, and a few awakened girls around him. Four others around him, sleeping. Otoko shivered as a gust of wind pulled at him. He felt something bubble within him, telling him to wait, not to speak. And so he waited.

Gideon pulled down the thick scarf covering his face. The man was half smiling at the group. His face looked quite young, almost as if he were in his early twenties. "Gehenna is not on Earth. And no I did not bring any of you here. My nephew did. Gehenna is this entire mountain, as well as the castle on it." Gideon reassured them all. He leaned down and picked up the smallest child, carrying her now. "My nephew brought you all here for some reason. I suspect it was to torment and torture you all once you made your way inside the castle. I am sorry to tell you all this, but there is no way back. You can go down the mountain through this path," He pointed behind them, "But that will only lead to Sheol. And that the last place any of you want to be in." Gideon seemed uneasy at the thought of going down the mountain. He smiled at the six year old, having a rather great fondness for children. "I am more than willing to answer any of your questions, but we have to get moving." He told them all.

Jazmyne giggled when Gideon picked her up. She held onto him and looked at the other people smiling. She waved her toy in his face, then hugged it. She looked down the mountain in awe. It was so high up.

Gideon chuckled softly then nestled his head against the little girl. He took out a small and old looking rattle. "Here, this was my niece's. She played with it all the way until she was 14." Gideon shook the toy a little then handed it to Jazmyne, "Jazmyne is a very pretty name." He smiled at her.

Jazmyne smiled and took the rattle. When he said her name she remembered that at least. She buried her head in his chest and giggled.

(This is fun, since I've never played a younger child before, haha!)

Rin was silent after her question wasn't answered. Her lips formed into a childish pout. Stomping her foot, Rin turned her head to the side. "I want to go to the castle!" Growling in a sheepish manner, Rin slowly shifted her gaze towards the child tyounger than she was. At least by...five years? Tilting her head to the side, Rin extended her hand towards the child, poking at the child's shoulder with her index finger. So far, she had not said a single thing to any on in particular, and it seemed as though her presence wasn't known. Finding it boring, Rin scowled and poked at the old man with her free hand. "Mister. Can we go to the castle?"

He raised an eyebrow, "You may call me Gideon. And I am not old little one. We will go, but the others need to wake first." He smiled.Gideon smiled down at the youngest one. "I think I know who you'd be perfect with." He smirked. Gideon looked at them all. "You mostly likely noticed you have no weapons or powers here. That is because in Gehenna, only its people may have powers. I have shards of the souls of the ones who ruled here long ago. I can give you all their powers, but they will have some effects." Gideon looked at Jazmyne, "Do you want to help us?" He asked toddler.

She nodded slowly and hugged her toy, and the rattle he gave her. She had her dog doll play with the rattle. She made sound effects as well, but no speaking. I was quiet too.

Izazya woke up with extremely blurry vision. He blinked furiously, attempting to regain the slightest bit of his sight, but that only worked to a small extent. Looking around him, there seemed to be other people here as well... Mostly girls, but a boy or two as well. "Where in Sam hill..." he murmured, rubbing his right eye as he tried to stand up. "More like Sam mountain..." His left arm seemed to be scraped up pretty badly, but his right was flawless. Suddenly, a cold wind blew through. He amused himself with the chills it gave him, his body already accustomed to the cold, even in his short sleeves.

"Something tells me I'm a bit late to catch on..." he said, turning to a man covered in rags. He felt a distant ache in his leg, and thought that it would be best to stay sitting for the moment. "Where is this exactly...?" he thought about how he probably looked like an idiot, as it seemed most everyone else was already awake and probably knew what was going on.

"Good morning, Yoru." A voice said from somewhere behind Izazya. Haruka held her ax behind her back in both hands, sideways as she was on her feet, knees bent, but not quite sitting on the snow. "So you're here too, Haruka..." Yoru said as he kept laying there right in front of Haruka, the girl with the ax off to his right. His eyes were still closed, but one could tell he was awake from the act he responded easily and within reasonable time of Haruka's good morning.

"I'll get up in a few minutes, but right now, I'm going to get a little more rest." Yoru said, rolling over where his back faced Haruka. "Do I have to chop off a finger to get you up...?" Haruka said, calmly, yet creepily. Yoru's eyes were now opened, him a little uneasy by her willingness to chop off one of his fingers just to get him to get up. "O-okay... I'll get up..." Yoru said, rolling back over and sitting up next to Haruka. "Just so you know, if you're gonna chop off a finger, you'd better make it my index finger, so I can't shoot you for it."
