SPOILER="Magic"]
(Fully aware the universe has magic but not much about it different types is expanded one. Magic in the anime version is consolidated under this new magic system.)
This Magic was naturally occurring during the Age of Heroes. Being most noble houses trace their roots either larger noble houses or people from the Age of Heroes, Magic something normally common in noble houses and uncommon if not rare amongst the normal populace. If commoner does manifest magic they are normally recruited to become a Magic Knight under a noble house.
Magic tends to be similar if not recurrent within the same noble bloodlines. That means experience on how utilize may be readily available but also experience on how to counter it. Magic from commoners or members of noble houses whose magic didn’t manifest in a way consistent with the bloodline, is looked down upon but only the smart see it’s potential through the pretentious noble opinion.
Upon manifesting magic one normally develops superhuman physical capabilities and senses. Magic comes in three branches. Most only manifest one, some manifest two, and rare(Lord Paramount rare) manifest all three. All magic branches can evolve or change over time. They don’t necessarily remain the same as how they were unlocked.

- Energy: It’s an elemental affinity. The most common branch of magic manifested. This has three stages known as Base, Manipulation, and Amplification which have to be unlocked through training and experience. In base one can only use magic to enhance or infuse with physical combat. For example, infusing a weapon with fire or turning skin to stone. In Manipulation, you can fully generate and manipulate your energy. Example, creating elemental construct or unleashing bombardments of lightning attacks. Amplification is the pinnacle of one’s energy which can be at a conceptual level. For example, generating a black hole sphere attack for Gravity energy or an absolute zero attack for ice energy.
- Gear: It’s an armament such a weapon, armor, tools, or the like. It can have abilities completely non elemental in nature and unrelated to one’s energy. For example, armor that nullifies elemental attacks, a sword that weakens defenses with subsequent strikes, bow that enhanced arrows with different properties, or a spear that is controlled psychically.
- Familiar: A creature or animate object that is summoned or conjured. It can be a golem, mount, humanoid, or some other form of independent avatar. It’s powers can be distinct from both Energy and Gear
