Corianne
She didn't initially register her savior pulling her wet and non-swimming ass out of the depths. Coughing profusely as she breached the surface, Corianne flailed around wildly as her drenched hair drooped over her eyes, adding to her panic and confusion. She quickly stopped when she realized that she was out of the water, and in Isa's hands; the terrified cook girl calmed down when she noticed the mer-girl's secure grip around her - and subsequently tensed up in terror when she saw how far from shore they'd gotten. Looking at Isa's face didn't help, either - the mer-girl had her fangs bared up close and personal, which would've gotten Corianne to wet her pants if she had any water left in her.
The mer-girl's words snapped her out of her fear-trance, though it did nothing to placate her worries. "Y-y-y-yeah. Th-thanks, Isa." Her pathetic stammering was exacerbated by how surprisingly cold this lake water was. Shivering as her body acclimated to the temperature, her eyes then darted back to shore, where the monster was pacing back and forth. "You g-got a plan?" Bereft of her spear and her precious terra firma, Corianne felt so powerless, in the clutches of one apex predator hiding from another apex predator. She was way too scared to form a coherent plan, but she had enough wits about her to know that they were fucked if they don't think of something eventually.
