Hello! I typically go by the username "Odetodust", but just go with Dusty if you really want a name. "Game Master" is more of a role than a name. A position.


I'm a writer, roleplayer, and, as of recent, artist, who specializes in asking questions about video games. Whenever something's lore is vague or just not mentioned, I feel obligated to imagine what it would be. As a result, I've gotten many, many ideas for roleplays stocked up, the first of which I've already put together: Kirby's New Adventure has been posted in the Fandom subforum and is open to new Players!


All that said, I am at quite a loss as far as how this site works. Yes, I have a thread up and (probably) running, but I still don't have much confidence in how well I can navigate. If anyone has advice on good ways to get around, how the text codes work, or just general tips on local etiquette, I'd be more than glad to hear it.
 
Well, I joined a few days ago, and this is what I learned. For joining roleplays, put a little bit of thought into your character. Try to make it pop off of the chat. You want to be interactable as well. Don't have bizarre emotions that don't fit with the situation. We're all our own playwrights and own actors anyways.


You can post interest checks underneath the forums windows, so you can see if people are interested or not in your RP ideas.


Also, don't be afraid of anybody on here. A lot of people here are very kind and welcome you with open arms. You can make friends very easy as well. Everyone is looking for friends here. Go out and get 'em!


If you have any specific questions, you can ask me or an admin (whom will be around soon to give you a 411 on everything).

Now then, I know that you have to answers that you're wanting answered now and the first is, you can join any RP that is open. You can find the different RP genres here: Roleplays | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum


They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.


If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.

No sir, I'm just being me. Probably a bad thing but I can't help me most of the time.
