"No!" Norian said firmly.
In front of him were several Admirals and Generals.
"As I said. We will not expand our empire for reasons that do not have strong evidence." Norian said.
"With all due respect Mr. president. We need these galaxies if we are to increase our military fighting strength." The Admiral said pointing at several galaxies that were not a part of any nation.
"I will not authorize this operation. And neither will the Vice president or any of my fellow senators and politicians." Norian said.
The Admiral leaned forward. "I want our nation to survive. And I want our nation to have the strongest military force that will be able to defend against any type of enemy."
"And we can do that without having to conquer more galaxies." Norian said.
"I'm doing this out of love for my nation and for her prosperity." The Admiral said.
"Then you don't love your nation." Norian replied. "If you truly loved this wonderful federation, you would agree with the principals and the foundations in which the creators of this federation built upon, which is to never attack another nation, never intervene in the conflicts of others, and to never allow another nation to attack ours."
"We won't need to sacrifice a single Centrion life. Most other planets are uninhabited or are in the early stages of evolution. They are rich with resources and our prospector's reports says that there is a new type of energy that we can use." The Admiral said.
"My word stands. No." Norian said.
The Admiral slowly straightened out his posture. "Very well then Mr. President." The admiral began to leave before stopping at the door. "But remember Mr. president, our nation's principles also state that we should also help those who are in need or less privileged. Poverty is very low in the UGF. But the people who need help, are the ones being enslaved by Sigmatron. What will we do if they invaded us? How will you feel if you watched them enslave our people? We have the military capabilities. Now we need the resources to fuel our war machine. Someone has to stand up to the bully eventually." With that, the Admiral and the generals left.
