Futuristic Galactic Empires

[\UGF/]

"No. I think I'll just stick with being a military officer. After that, I'll put my university degree to good use and just be an engineer." Kiria replied.

She pointed to a painting of a massive imperial building that was 8 stories high. "That's the grand archives. It's where some of our historial books, records and relics are stored and displayed. I you would like, I shall take you there. I'll just use my dad's clearance to enter."

"First meaningful contact established with the UGF was an attempt at rescuing roughly two hundred passengers on a doomed UGF vessel that was in the process of being assimilated by the Sigmaterian Empire. The passengers were successfully rescued but the Dominion ships holding them were promptly destroyed in an escalating conflict involving several other species. After this, it was deemed necessary to establish trading outposts to facilitate the learning process of other civilizations that were in danger of conflict with the Sigmaterian Empire in the next few centuries. In our haste a simple mapping error left a station slightly inside their border. They aggressively boarded the station and chased down neutral vessels using the station. They then came into conflict with Dominion military hardware that was sold to said neutral parties. During this time we recorded data on their empire as per standard procedure and they requested that we obey their laws and turn over the data compiled on their weapons, tactics, divisions, and vessels. We refused and left their territory." The AI finished its lecture.

(Just a quick question, what ship are you talking about?)
(One of the cargo ships that delivered the weapons to the capital ship left in the system.)

The Vice president got up as he exited his office. The two young soldiers followed as well.
"This building actually use to be the presidential building of the Great Gargan Republic. It was the superpower nation tens of thousands of years ago when our race was still not capable of interstellar travel. There's a rumor saying that there was a massive debate over where the capital city should be."

As the vice president was talking and giving the tour, he walked past Kiria who was giving Shala a tour of the building.
Tarus looked at the structure and noded" I see your species was quite divided at that time period a problematic thing division is." Tarus said as he followed.

"Agreed, the extra 25,000 workers are yours, consider the matter over. Thank you for your time." Luthar replied, as his arm screen blared to life, advising him of a situation.

[\CheckpointEcho/]

*Sigh* "Another useless day, this is the most boring job ever!" Said a inspections officer, at the edge of Monroe Empire space, "I hate this job." He said to no one in particular. As a ship came slowly came through a circular ring.

"How many organisms on board? Any weapons or illegal contraband.?" He asked the ships captain.

"No contraband, 7 organisms all human." Replied the Captain.

"Go... What the hell? he said

"What you guys trying to pull, you said you only have 7 organisms on board." He replied

"What are you talking about we do."

"Thats not what the scanner is saying. It says here you are carrying an unknown specimen in the back compartment of your ship. Just go see what it is, maybe a rat climbed aboard your ship, although the scanner is saying its a little bigger than a rat." He replied, slightly intrigued.

Although he had promised not to alert security he did anyway, as he hit a red button on his command console. A few moments later a buzzing alarm awoke several soldiers from their sleep, and they quickly got their gear and clothing on, as practiced. Soon they were out the door, as the Cargo ship was pulled aside and locked into place with a magnetic locking system. As the 7 man squad went up to the umbilical, they walked through it to the airlock door for the ship. As they got near, they went into combat formation, opened the airlock, and walked inside.

Shala

"I would like that very much, I am very interested in your culture."

GSE

"Interesting then. All right. We will show you no aggression, as our alliance with the UGF is a defensive alliance, or at least on our terms we believed it was or it was not specified. We just have one last question:

Where do you stand on Sigma?"

[\UGF/]

"Okay then." Kiria said as she began to walk across the hall and guided shala through the back door of the presidential building.

There was a military armoured vehicle parked as Kiria got into the driver's seat.

"They are a spreading cancer upon this iteration of the universe, uncontrollable by any combination of the nations we have found in this quadrant, at least...in a conventional battle of arms. Your nations are merely useful diversions for them that will allow us to complete our directive in time for entropy. " As the AI spoke it opened visual communications, displaying the massive orange sphere of Sigmaterian influence, with projected spread rates as well as the few points randomly spread across the sphere that were being actively monitored by Dominion fleets to measure the rate of expansion. It also showed the comparison between the Sigmaterian Empires estimated size and the estimated size of the GSE and UGF which was for the most part accurate, though there were considerable mapping errors. It was obvious that the Dominion had been doing considerable 'mapping' without anyone knowing of it.

[Checkpoint echo]

the infestation emerged from its cacoon.

The growth attached to it morphed into a snake like form slithering into the ships frame making its way towards the front of the ship. As for the infestation worrier it hid behind a crate releasing a highly toxic Gass into the air creating a fog of sorts as well as spores which allowed the infested to see with ought having to look. It awaited behind the crates stalking from the darkness it created.

(Nice Alien picture (I'm a die hard alien fan))

[\CheckpointEcho/]

As the 7 man squad walked in, the airlock doors closed behind them. As the got inside, they noticed the small man awaiting them, "Somethings in here," He managed to say before he collapses from shock.

"Oh crap, this is bad, "One of the marines said.

"Radio in the situation, tell them we are going to investigate." Said the squad leader.

"Soldier! Get the IMS up and operational now!" said one of the marines.

As a marine pulled a rather large rifle off his back, kinda like a rocket launcher, except the end of the barrel was exchanged with a square slab, with many tiny holes poking out. As the marines got down on one knee, and swung the IMS around in a circular motion, another marine had pulled out a little tablet device. As the marine drew the gun around, the screen came to life, mapping everything the gun was pointed at. The marine scrolled through the walls, not seeing anything of danger.

"I don't see much, lets keep moving further down into the ship." He said.

(Me too :D I try to use variations that are more fan art so I'm not taking to much from the alien universe although there are a lot of awesome xenomorph types.)

The infested stayed motionless behind the crates emitting no sound, but ever aware of the marine presence. The snake like probe used it's molecular acid to eat through the hole slipping out and launching across the hanger room landing behind more crates. It proceeded into a air vent eating through that as well. It started making its way through the ventilation shafts.

After a while of moving it heard voices. It slithered silently to a near by opening which revealed two people inside. They conversed about the unknown organism which was in the hanger bay. One guy then turned away from the other looking at a monitor while another stared at the other monitoring the ship.

The probe then split into two morphing into two impregnators.

(You got me into it know lol)

Once through the two impregnators s moved s moved quickly. One launched at the other wrapping it's tail around the neck. The stinger at the end penetrated the skin injecting a neurotoxin paralyzed the victim. The other did the same then wrapped around the face inserting a tendril down the throat where 4 embryos where inserted. They attached to the stomach lining leaching off the body for bio mass. There they grew till they matured very quickly about to be born.

[\CheckpointEcho/]

The marine squad was getting nervous, normally they just find a dog or something, but not this time. The IMS had found a second organism, but only for a few seconds, till it dropped off the radar. As the marines entered the hangar, they set up in a circular formation, watching all sides, and sweeping their weapons up and down.

"I don't like the look of this, "The commander said.

"Just to be sure, radio in, and tell them to retract the Umbilical, until we know more, also set up the beacons, just to be safe."

They quickly radioed in, and then set down 3 IMS beacons on tripods, these were more cylinder like, but still with many holes in them, they started to spin, and immediately started mapping the environment, constantly looking for movement/ and organic mater, other than the 2 crew members they saw on the way down to the hangar. the marines, started to do a full sweep of the hangar.

The Umbilical

2Q==

(cant continue till tomorrow evening.) (Sorry)

(Alright see you then :) )

The impregnators fell to the floor dead as the two males stomachs bulged imensally. They exploded as 8 new investor worrier were born. They immediately ate the body's as well as the two dead impregnators. Once done they cocooned themselves maturing in a mater of minutes. After a while the cacoon opened as the mature worriers emerged moving out. They ate through the door flowing out into the hall. They split into groups of two going into rooms. 3 had one person in it while 1 had two. The worriers imeadiatly incapacitated the people as each worrier dropped a egg like object in front of the person. The eggs opened up revealing impregnators which latched on to the body's being th process again. A infestation had begun. The worriers then go began to spray organic tissue on the walls which began to convert to metal into more bio mass spreading the growth.

As she glanced at the clause, she almost snorted. "Yeah, blame the assassination on Dominion, well played, Sigma. Haven't seen the trick before," She muttered, slightly sardonically. At that, she left the holographic screen, making her way back to the docking bay. She had already placed her mask on the lower half of her face, and readied her weaponry. Something told her this wouldn't be as easy as the others...

[/Quintus\]

"My lord, her signal is moving! Show we follow it?" Jonthen exclaimed, as Quintus entered the pilot area. Quintus considered the goblin-like creature for a moment. "We'll follow it, slowly, cautiously. And then we'll observe... for now at least," He drawled, sitting down in the seat next to Jonthen's. He raised his arm, lowering the hood and removing the pale mask from his face, something he didn't do rather often. His skin was slightly pale, he had light gray eyes, and short, jet black, and slightly untidy hair, as well as a clean beard.

"Even I have to admit, it does get a tad bit warm wearing that sometimes. Still though, it's useful on certain occasions," Quintus said, speaking to no one in particular (So basically himself). He sat his chin in his hand, resting his elbow on the arm of the chair.

@Gilzar

"Nice to meet you, Brutus, Hawke. I must say, it is quite a pleasure to speak to the pair of you. The representatives of your empire, eh?" They may have only been representatives, but he supposed that was alright, for now. He hid any signs of disappointment very well. "I request a possible meeting between our empires, to discuss negotiations for an alliance," He spoke, charmingly.

The two elites followed as they merged with the civilians as the vice president stepped outside to show tarus the massive metal skyscrapers.

Tarus looked around impressed by their architecture. He looked at the vic president" you have a splendid city here vic president." He said.

Brutus

@Dreadpool10

"Yes, I think that could be arranged."

Something could be heard from the background of the communication, Hawke's voice. "Damnit Reptile that was my line!"

Brutus turned his head from the communicator and did a crocodile sounding hiss at Hawke. "Silence you Khur!"

"Wait a minute, is the communicator still on?" then all went silent afterwords.

Slowly Brutus rubbed his hands against the top of his head in stress. "Hawke, your genetically inherited intelligence would shine through a lot more IF YOU ACTUALLY USED THE SLIGHTEST AMOUNT OF BRAINCELLS BEFORE ACTUALLY SPEAKING!" Brutus then did another crocodile hiss before returning to the communicator.

"Back on topic...yes, this could be arranged-"

Banging noises could be heard in the background.

Brutus growled again, turning to Hawke. "By Shira's will...LEAVE THE DECORATIVE ORNAMENTS OF THE FOREIGN SPECIES ALONE!"

[\UGF/]

Two marines accompanied by a lieutenant entered.

"There were reports of banging and yelling in the room. Is everything alright?" The Lieutenant asked.

Brutus

"Yes...Just dealing with a temper tantrum."

Hawke

Hawke slowly backed away from the decorations across the wall.

[\CheckpointEcho/]

"
Sir, we got a problem. The scanners picking up multiple organic readings, all unknown specimens. From my count at least 10 sir." A marine said to the commander.

"What the hell is going on here? I think we might have an infestation, radio in, warn them about the infestation and tell them I order them to activate quarantine order 556. " The commanding officer said to his radio man.

"Lets head to those 8 lifeforms, watch your fire, and activate your flame units." He ordered.

The marines headed out in a battle formation, scanning the walls and all around them.

[/Jason\]

Jason had remained silent during the entire ordeal, simply waiting for it to be over. He refrained from letting out a laugh while it happened, a very hard task indeed. When it had finished, he asked, "So, you two kids done fighting?"

[\UGF/]

@Gilzar

"Do you know what you have just damaged?"The lieutenant asked looking at the two.

"You have just damaged a very important item." The lieutenant said. "You just desecrated over 200 thousand lives by laying hands on that item."

Luthar had just been back from his last board meeting around 2 hours ago. He was exhausted, his day had been one meeting, to the next. He was looking forward to getting some sleep. Sadly a few minutes before he was planning to hit the sheets, his personal A.I. Jen alerted him of a situation.

"Sir, we have a problem." She said

"What is it?" He replied

"It seems that a marine commander at Checkpoint Echo has put quarantine order 556 into effect."

"Quarantine order 556? But that means there's an infestation on board. Is it on the station, or just a ship?"

"Its on a trading ship, and he ordered the immediate closing of the umbilical, so its contained for now."

"Okay, okay, okay. Call up the Reaper Division, and tell them to send in a 5-man squad. Also tell them to bring a Class - B, ARM Shuttle with them, their going to need it. Also call up the seventh fleet and tell them to blockade the station. Last thing, I want all the trade info, of where that ships been. IMMEDIATELY."

Hawke

Hawke froze at hearing this, as well as Brutus.

"But that's....that's preposterous!"

"It's just a simple wall decoration I...I feel so ashamed..."

Brutus couldn't help but feel horrible, yet he didn't tear down the wall decorations...

"You stupid Warden." Brutus said to Hawke.
