"Following us?...come on Earl what would be following us?.." Emily said thinking he was joking around at first as she smiled. Afterall she hadn't felt anything or seen anything, he had to be joking around, right? She looked at him seeing his face and the way he was looking at her, telling her to trust him. He looked so exhausted and serious something really was bothering him. Her smile went away "Are you sure about this Earl?.." she asked in a whisper.
"I don't know what it is. But its real." He sakd. "It's so real."
"Okay, Earl...I believe you..." she said worried and scared that she hadn't noticed something was following them, was she really was that oblivious? "we will just have to figure out what...but before we can do anything about it...you have to get some sleep" Emily said.
He nodded. "No classes today." He said.
"yes I know.." she said knowing classes were not to be held today because of the quitch matches. However, she did not mentioned it, "come on you need to sleep," she said walking him back to the Hufflepuff dorms.
He walked with her and yawner again.
She hoped Earl will be able to get some sleep, worried for him.
He fell onto his bed and fell asleep.
We Emily pulled up the covers and tucked him into his bed. She hoped he would some sleep ashe she walked out of the dorm and to the main Hufflepuff common room.
She was met with many stares as everyone wondered what she was doing alone. When she was with Earl no one gave her a second glance. Now though everyone just saw her, as slytherin, standing in the hufflepuff commonroom.
Emily stoped in her tracks noticing everyone looking towards her direction. This was the first time any of the other Hufflepuffs looked at her in such away and she been in the common rooms more then a handful of times. "Um...good morning" she greeted the Hufflepuffs that were staring at her.
"Is Earl alright Emily?" One of them said. They wanted to know about Earl who apparently was popular aming his house. The Hufflepuffs seemed to like her more than her own housemates.
"Oh yes Earl's alright..." she said hoping this was true, last year he didn't sleep enough around Halloween and got terribly sick. "He is just extremely exhausted, I found out that he didn't get any sleep last night. So I brought him back here to get some rest."
They nodded. One if them looked at their watch. "I'll guess that if Earl's not playing you aren't planning on watching qhidditch. Join hs for a game of exploding snap?"
Emily looked at them and gently shook her head. "No...I think I won't be going to go see the game today." Emily replied amaze how well they knew her. But after all she did spend her time with the Hufflepuffs when watching Earl play. She started cheering for Earl last year in the Slytherin side but a good handful of them got upset. So she decided to just go to the Puffles side and join them watching the game. "Um sure I can join you" she replied knowing it be best to leave Earl rest as much as possible.
The other hufflepuffs there were more of the studious type like herself. Not really interested in Quidditch.
"You all sure you don't want to go out and cheer for your house?..." Rmily asked knowing the answer for most already.
"No thanks." They said. "Most of the girls here only warch for Earl."
"Thats fine" Emily was right she had figure the Hufflepuffs here really would have preferred not to go out to watch the game.
"...Maybe we still stop talking about the game Josh.." Emily suggested having visibly noticed how guilty Earl looked as Josh retold the whole game.
Earl looked at his dinner. For once he didn't have much of an appetite.
Emily become very concerned seeing that Earl had burly touched his dinner. He normally be practically inhaling the food on his plate and even finishing his second helping by now. But insted her just sat there staring down at his plate "Earl are you okay?" Emily asked
He nodder slowly.
Emily frowned knowing for sure something was wrong. She got up and grabed ahold of his arm "Come on let's go" she said pulling on him to get up
