Emily had not noticed the staring at first, not until she heard the comment coming from a fifth year Gryffindor. She moved her hand from Earl's shoulder and looked over to the commenter. She was confused as to why they should get a room but a light blush flushed her face out of embarrassment.

Emily looked over at Earl as he stood up to comfront the Gryffindor. She admired his boldness but this was also a bit embarrassing as well. Though overall she was very confused as to why their friendship was being mocked, they were not doing anything wrong.

"It's just weird to see a Slytherin being all froendly with someone. She's got some other motive mate." He said. Earl's eyes flared. "Are you fuckin' serious!? You're upset because of that stupid Gryffindor Slytherin rivalry!?" Earl said. "Mr. Johnson Language!" McGonagall snapped. "You wanna talk about Slytherins? How about Merlin, who did more for Wizard Muggle relations than any wizard to date? How about Snape who died helping to defeat Voldemort? And I challenge you to find a friendlier teacher in Hogwarts than Slughorn." Earl said. "You have your Gryffindor Pride. Fine. Save it for the House Cup and Quidditch matches. Not to bully students.*

Emily looked back at the Gryffindor frowning at what he said. How dear he say such slanderous thins of her Earl was her dearest friend she was not using him. She was about to say something when insted she remained quite looking back at Earl as he defened her. Naming off great Slytherins of their past. Emily couldn't help but smile at Earl wanting to give him a hug and thank him but held herself back.

Emily gently laid her hand on Earl's shoulder as he was asked to sit back down, it wasn't much due to embarrassment but she did appreciate what a wonderful friend he was and how he stood up for her. She turned to look over towards the professor "Wait he really is?...to what?" Emily asked curiously, wondering why Hagrid hadn't mentioned it when they saw him earlier today.

Emily just quitely watched as Earl got up from the table and ran off. She giggled going back to her food. Once finishing she got up from the table and left herself. Her first Christmas dinner sure had been different she thought to herself as she headed back to the Slytherin dormrooms.

The Slytherin commonroom had been decorated since she left. Super decorated. There was snow falling lightly from the ceiling and ice sculptures in the tables.

ahhhhhhh my heart!! just more things for Emily to look back on and just have a list in her mind as to why she just fell in love and started to have feelings for Earl)Emily had not noticed at the first second, when she had entered, though stopped in her tracks as she felt snowfall over her. "huh?... Snow?...." she softly questioned looking up as she reached out with her hand to catch the snow with her hand. The common room was not decorated this much before she left this morning, all this was so beautiful, no it was nothing but magical. A big smile formed on Emily's face as she went around the large common room to get a closer look at the new decorations.
