The Swiftest Shot In The West
In the vast expanse of a desolate wasteland, where the relentless sun painted the landscape with hues of scorching orange and unforgiving yellow, a hidden secret lay buried beneath the shifting sands. For centuries, a colossal stone door, ancient and unyielding, had defied the curiosity of explorers and the longing of treasure seekers. This enigmatic monolith, untouched by time, had concealed its mysteries with the unwavering vigilance of its protectors—a ruthless band of murderous robots.
But fate, as it so often does, had a peculiar way of rewriting history. The murderous automatons that once safeguarded the secret entrance to a forgotten world now lay scattered and defeated, their metallic bodies torn asunder, and their malevolent gears forever stilled. A daring group of adventurers had breached the walls of this forsaken desert, and their perseverance had yielded an invaluable revelation—the discovery of the colossal door itself.
The words of ancient texts, carefully preserved through generations, whispered of this accursed land. They hinted at the malevolent origin of the tainted sands, attributing the blight to a buried military installation, a relic from times when empires clashed in a desperate battle for supremacy. These texts spoke of peril and power, of treacherous magic and the secrets of a bygone era. They beckoned to those brave or foolhardy enough to heed their call, promising both knowledge and untold danger.
As the journey began, four adventurers found themselves standing before the colossal stone door, its imposing frame reaching up to touch the heavens. At its center, an engraving of an eye, ominous and sorrowful, gazed out from the massive stone, half-filled with the very sands that blanketed the surrounding wasteland. The eye, it seemed, wept eternally for the long-lost world behind the door, and perhaps for those who would dare to unlock its mysteries.
A sense of foreboding filled the air as the party contemplated their first task—unlocking the indestructible door. They knew that such a feat would not be accomplished through brute force, for the stone before them was as solid as the earth itself. As they gathered around the colossal portal, the ancient texts whispered to them, their cryptic verses hinting at the key to unraveling this enigma.

For the purposes of this RP all characters involved will have already met in Kirkwall and have traveled together to the site. Though you are free to come up with why you personally joined the team, it is a commission from the Mayors of Kirkwall and they put out the request for help so as to better understand the situation before the East does.
