Out of curiosity, do the eldritch gods have to be the 'actual' eldritch gods, or can we make our own, cuz i have a character that could replace one

It will be both. Some of the eldritch gods are simply too powerful to include, however that said there is a lesser class of eldritch gods that have made up all of the pantheons of gods. In other words, greek, norse, egyptian, etc. Those gods are technically from the eldritch realm. Those lesser versions will become playable but the big boys wont.
