Welcome to freefall! The land of flight! Go ahead, step of the edge, let the clouds carry your weight! Here everyone can fly, with varying degrees of skill, of course...but nomatter, I'm sure you'll be fine!... Probably...Here in freefall, your imagination can soar! within the domain of freefall, you have the three main continents: gardón, xanthindril, and farstook. Gardon: the kingdom of profit. They often specialize in the fabrication/selling/buying of goods Xanthindrill: the kingdom of festivity. Their elaborate parties and colorful clothing often take the edge off when things seem a bit much to handle. Last but not least, Farstook: the kingdom of order. After the great war, this is where most of the soldiers ended up, and made their own kingdom. Oh, don't get me wrong, they're a nice bunch, if a bit on the stiff side. Each continent has a relatively similar government and acts like a kingdom. They are all approximately the size of north american, with some wild and untamed land. The Great War has long since passed, and the kingdoms live in peace, not to mention the near limitless amount of outlying islands in the Wildlands. There is, however...the Stormgaurd. Most of us here in freefall chalk it up to a myth...but...its more than real. Jesters have been coming out of the dark purple clouds that set the barrier between the stormgaurd and freefall, and our guards have been struggling to keep up.Anyway, back to the basics. Everyone who has reached the age of 16 in gardón, 15 in xanthindril, and 20 in farstook are given the chance to take their flight exam and receive their flight card, allowing them to pass the 6-foot height limit. Every flight card comes with a flight kit. This includes a customized knapsack, a clockwork height indicator (or C.H.I.), 15 ft of rope, and 3 gravity pebbles (which remove the ability of flight for a shirt period of time when struck with). The flight isn't a gravity problem, and things still weigh pretty much what they normally would. Some people are buff with low flying capabilities, and others look meek, but could break the sound barrier if they felt like it. This brings us to the topic of flight armor. Naturally, g-force is a problem, and breaking the sound barrier without protection will kill you, so there are some gifted few who make armor for high speed flights. As far as animals go, only birds are the ones with flight, and typically make better house pets than other animals, but cats, dogs, and the like are not uncommon. There are, however, all manner of animals in the wildlands. No one really understands what goes on in that place. And i don't really want to talk about the Stormgaurd denizens...*shivers*So...your interested in the stormgaurd, are ye? Hah! Youth...what it would be to be young again. I'll tell ya bout the stormgaurd. Its what some folks would call hell. All manner of dark creatures loom around down there. They got the power of flight too, but they can only go up to the purple cloud that acts as a barier between our worlds. They got a kingdom too, ya know. Its awefull, mind you, but its there.its ruled by Æthuron Harst, one of the most wicked beings to leave the ground. They were banished to the stormgaurd long before the great war. Hes got plently of lackys and henchmen...even some deamons, but as long as them clouds are there, we wont be seing his mug anytime soon. How do i know this, you ask...ive been there. Dont look at me like that! Its true! Its terrible down there...so dark...no sun. Just the lightning to illuminate your way.
