Expect the unexpected, it expects you
Emery sighed as she looked through the crowd, she smirked at the sight of him. She had on her dress and her hair was done perfectly, as she walked over to him.
She had invited him, telling him that the gallery would lose an item and that she would be there. She knew that the gallery was going to be hit and she wanted to see him. She also knew that he wouldn’t come alone.
It had been a few months now, watching him and his work, Emery couldn’t help herself, since she first found out who was on her case, she was smitten by him. He was everything she had never dealt with, she found herself moving through her work with the added bounce of getting his attention. She watched him sometimes just to see how he was getting along with his work. What she didn’t like, was Kate. It annoyed her that he was in a relationship with that woman, but she pride herself in the thought that he had his own little relationship, with her.
She moved up to him, approaching him from behind, “Nice to see you dressed for the party.” She teased, playfully saying near his ear as she moved to stop in front of him. She smiled up at him, “I knew you would look great in a suit. I just didn’t know how much.” She grinned, admiring his appearance, “Before you decided if you want to cuff me,” she smiled at him, playfully, raising her hand in his view, “How about a dance? I promise to tell you what will be taken if you do. After all, I could be the thief or I could be the diversion. Wouldn’t it be nice if you stayed with me, to make sure I’m the thief and keep an eye on the prize at the same time.” She leaned closer to him, with a grin, “I know you didn’t come alone, they don’t look as wonderful as you do in a suit.” She flirted, winking at him, “Come on, Jake, play with me for a little while.”
