Alex made a sound somewhere between a scoff and one of disgust as Jake spoke, wrapping his arms around Rue. "I'm here because your girlfriend asked me to be. I was not stalking her at all. But seeing as I am the only other person in this house that isn't paying more attention to a game then here, it's no surprise she asked me up here and not you." The sarcasm in his tone was not easily missed, especially as he put emphasis on some words in his annoyance.

Jacob just chuckles softly as he cooed at Rue gently, kissing down her neck and then poking her cheek in a playful manner. "Myself and Rue have some business to attend to, I'm going to show her what little dolls like her are supposed to do to pleasure men like myself" He says flirtingly.

"You sound like a pervert Jake." Alex hissed as he elbowed his way past his brother. It wasn't a light elbow either. It was deep, right between his ribs, and full of malice towards his brother. The sight of his brother holding and kissing Rue sent a weird sickness to his stomach, leaving his voice a growl as he said "I'll be in my room." And walked into said room, slamming the door loudly like a toddler throwing a tantrum, with a large huff.

Rue sighed and then began to unpack. Later during the night she could hear her boyfriend muttering to himself, he always sleep talked and it often disturbed her so she finally decided to ask to sleep with Alex, hoping that he wouldn't mind. She wanders out of the bedroom quietly and then shuts the door behind her. She goes over to Alex's bedroom and then knocks lightly on the door.

It was late during the night when the knock came at his door. He stumbled out of bed and tried to slightly flatten his hair. The combination of messy dark hair, and the loose shirt and shorts he was wearing gave him a whole messy appearance as he swung open his door. Rue was stood there, and Alex rubbed at his eyes to make sure he wasn't imagining or dreaming it. Running his hand through his unruly hair once more he raised an eyebrow at her. "You okay?" He asked.

Rue held a small bunny to her chest as she waits for him to answer the door, if he was planning on doing so. Once he does she blushes lightly and looks down. She was dressed in a pink nightdress with her brown hair flowing freely around her waist. She finally looks up at him. "Jake was sleep talking again and I really want to get to sleep and I wondered if I could sleep with you?" She asks softly.

Alex rubbed the back of his neck as his eyes flitted to his brothers door. When there was no sign of movement he looked back to Rue. He stepped into his room again, leaving the door open. "Sure..." He muttered sleepily, stretching out his arms as he sat back on his bed. "As a child we had the same room and I had to listen to him all night, every night." Alex murmured with a small head shake.

Rue nods and then wanders in, shutting the door quietly behind her. She places her head on the floor and curls up, without a pillow nor a blanket. She just remained in a small ball, thinking that asking to sleep in his bedroom at this hour was asking too much to request to sleep in the bed with him.

Alex lent up from his sitting position to see Rue curled up on the floor. He raised an eyebrow, then hung over the edge of his bed, poking her shoulder. "Hey..." He whispered with a grin, poking her a bit more. "Are you gonna stay uncomfortable down there or come up here where there is warmth and comfort?" Alex chuckled softly, gently pulling at her arms as he smirked down at her in anticipation.

Rue looks up at him and then curls up beside him, he was nice and warm and she almost fell asleep straight away, nuzzling against his chest. She held onto her cuddly bunny and smiles lightly. **** The following morning was not a good one, Jake found out and he was nothing but angry. He had yelled at her, calling her many rude names. It wasn't like she had kissed Alex, so she didn't understand why he was overreacting so much.

Alex was not good at waking up in the morning. So when shouting woke him up, he wasn't all too happy. He was even less happy when he noticed it as his brother shouting at Rue. He exited his room, still in his pjs, running his hands through his hair as he found the source of the noise. A glare to Jake was followed by the slightly taller boy stepping in front of him. "How about you just shut up for once hm? You talk so much, you can't even stop when you sleep and your girlfriend has to leave so she can actually sleep!" Alex snapped.

Jacob growls lowly and glares at Rue, slapping her harshly across the cheek. The slap was so harsh that the noise could be echoed throughout the house. He turns away from her and then crosses his arms, ignoring his brother. "Just get out of our house, you're not wanted here" He snaps.


Rue flinches and then began to gather her things.

With Jakes back turned, Alex turned to Rue. He gently touched her reddening cheek, then mouthed 'go home, I'll come over later'. He walked back over to his brother, before pushing him against the wall and holding his arm against his throat. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" He snarled at his brother. "Get a grip on your life!" He added, elbowing Jake in the stomach. "Because you are being pathetic."

Jacob watches Rue leave and he makes a light 'hmph' noise to himself. He makes a light gagging noise as his brother held him firmly against the wall, arm on his throat. He manages to push him away and against the bedroom door. "Get out!" He yells, throwing a dirty pair of underwear at him.

Alex rolled his eyes, flipping his finger to his brother as he left his brothers room, seething and muttering to himself. "Love to!" He shouted as he stormed into his own room, slamming the door. He changed into a pair of skinny jeans and a shirt, combing his hair before leaving the entire house and starting on his way to find Rue, or just get to her house.

Rue was sitting outside on a bench, holding her things close to her chest. She had never felt so embarrassed. Her cheek had a red hand mark across it from where


Jake had hit her. She hung her head lightly and then rubs at her eyes as tears were steaming down of them.

Alex caught sight of Rue, and pulled himself over the back of the bench to sit beside her. He stayed silent for a moment as he wrapped an arm round her shoulder, his other hand gently wiping away some of his tears. "Told you he was an idiot." Alex muttered, bitter and sarcastic at once. He lightly took Rue's chin between his thumb and forefinger, raising her head so he could see her cheek. He ran a finger lightly across the red mark and shook his head. "He is so stupid." He muttered, mostly to himself.

Rue turns away as she continued to cling to some of her things, not saying much at all upon the subject. Her cheeks were glowing bright red too and not because of just the hit she had received from Jacob but also from ow embarrassed she was because of it. She couldn't even look at Alex and currently had her face towards the road as she watches the traffic go by.

A frown tugged the already lowered lips of Alex even further down into a deeply dissatisfied frown. He went off of the bench, instead moving in front of her. Alex lightly pulled her things away from her, before standing her up and pulling her into a hug. When they hugged the top of her neck fit loosely into the crook of his shoulder, or the hollow of his neck and collar bones. He softly wrapped his arms around her to try and cheer her up slightly.

Rue blushes as he does this and then wraps her arms around his waist, she places her head onto his shoulder and nuzzles his cheek lightly. She lets tears roll down her cheeks as she sniffs lightly, tears dripping down his shoulder as she cries.

Alex remained embracing Rue for a while, feeling his shoulder grow slightly damp as her tears soaked through his shirt. When she seemed to have slowed down in her tears, Alex pulled back slowly, hands slipping to sit on her shoulders. "You okay now?" He asked her softly, gentle smile, quirking up the corners of his deep set frown with another, happier emotion of sincerity and kindness.

Rue nods lightly, though she was looking down. "Y-Yeah, I'm okay" She stumbled through tears. She sood stood up, "I've just gotta, you know, cool off. I guess I'll be going home, I have so much homework to complete....See ya" She says and hugs him before she stumbled away with her bags and items.

Alex watched as Rue stood herself up and hugged him once more. "See ya! Text me when you feel better!" He called after her, before he turned his back to head back home. She wouldn't see his face crack as the smile crumbled away and his true frown and clenched jaw in anger resurface. Nor would she see him turn the corner back down his road and kick the closest wall before he reached his own home once more.
