Thought it might be worth mentioning, please put effort into your character! I don't care if you want to give your character their own special quirk, I actually hope you do, like if you want them to be able to control shadows to make puppets or something wacky. Go for it! Just don't make them too overpowered. Weak characters aren't allowed. How else would the empire let you onto a boat to the forbidden continent?
