if you mention a skill, you should probs tell what it is lol
i dont remember what Mastermind does :P

you can have Aptitude, since thats like a staple for trainee types, thats fine
Yeah idk, if you want to min-max a char or not thats up to you, im not gunna worry about it :> but yea, there is something to be said about being original

Hm.. i hadnt thought about it i guess. Its a thought, but honestly, I did kinda think everyone would be from the same time, yes. which is a general "now" approximate of our time. But idk, i suppose that doesnt have to be the case. we dont all have to be the same nationality or race or anything though
Sorry about the poor communication!! Mastermind is almost like a Personal Skill variant of Aptitude, doubling skill experience in battle. I’m personally familiar with it in the hands of Lysithea from Three Houses.

That‘s cool to know. I think I'll try coming up with something unique and see where I go from there, and as far as Class goes, I’ve been warming up to just picking Mercenary outright instead of angling for a trainee type. But if Mastermind is alright, I’ll keep it in my back pocket in case I’m unsatisfied with my own ideas.

Right then! I’d also like to ask, is dying a valid backstory addition for our being Isekaid? Or is the ideal method of handling that sort of thing to just leave the circumstances around our transmigration entirely ambiguous and mysterious?

Thanks for the efficient QnA!!

Right right i just forgot lol

Np! :> you do you XD

Oh, no one knows how they were isekaid, so that shouldnt be in your backstory. But yeah, if you "Died" then it wouldnt really make sense to try to winhere to return to your um.. life, if that life is dead, right?

But then again, what do i know XD if you want to have "died" then i suppose thats up to you! XD Youd have to kinda formulate your char's new motivation for doing this fe thing tho, since the motivation is to win and get back to life

ya np! :> ill answer anything i can lol

Nope! :> Peeps have expressed interest, and im looking for 5-7 peeps! :> but no ones made a bio yet, so i dont know the actual headcount

I can start working on a CS then, yeah?

Also how prevalent will the idea of isekai'd people be? Once people find out will it be like "Oh they must be heroes" or "these people stole someone's life from our world"

I'm reading some web novels that have isekai'd people being seen as "evil" and I always found the concept really fun, like people trying to hide the fact that they've been isekai'd and aren't from the world.

Ah I shouldve explained this. I guess Ill put up a more concrete rule answer in the lore, but ill answer this here.

It works exactly like your typical FE. (Weapons work the same, tho... are less noticeable.. Like I wont worry about weapons as much)

You can only use attack/combat spells if you have and have "equipped" the correct tome (weapons also work this way).

So if you want to cast Fire. You have to equip Fire. If you want to cast Thunder, you have to equip Thunder. So on and so forth. They also have uses like in FE. So you can "run out" or "Depower" the tome so it doesnt have magic anymore.

With that being said. This world is insanely game-ified/just magic. If you go into combat thinking and wanting to use Thunder. Then you'll suddenly have Thunder in your hands and are capable of casting thunder. Even if you just used Fire. (SO long as you actually have the tome).

It works exactly like the games. If you have lets say 5 different tomes, and you are trying to attack someone in game, you typically switch them around, looking for the best one to use, then use that one, and your char just magically has it in their hands. It works the same here. If you have 5 different tomes in your "inventory" -which is like a magic space. You can switch them on the fly simply by thinking which one you want to use.

To elaborate further. Weapons also work this way. If you have a Iron Sword. And got a drop of a Silver Blade and also have a Killing Edge in your "inventory", you can randomly switch between them on the fly, using whatever you want whenever. The weapon will magically appear in your hands and youll attack with it, gaining the bonuses or negatives from using that weapon.

Everything has uses. But this will affect magic much more. So yes, mages are powerful but they cant just spam kill every enemy, or they'll run out of "empowered" tomes to use. Same with staves. If we get in a combat scenario, you can tank massive damage that would kill any regular person -so long as you have a healer on standby right near you to use their "Heal" staff on you. But Heal only has 10 uses, so.. you dont want to waste a use on just a cut or something.

Weapons also have durability but ehhhhhhh for the most part i wont be worry about weapons, unless you have like a silver sword or killing edge or something worse/better like a Durandal or something. So you cant just one-shot every enemy with a Legendary weapon unless you want to break it fast lol

So yea, we'll need to watch our equipment. Ill be counting how many "heals" someone casts. :> BUT it wont really matter in the long run. We'll be gaining weapons from drops, chests, and will be able to buy them from armories, etc etc
i forgot to mention, this also applies to things like javelins, spears, and hand axes
if u throw them, they will magically appear back in your hand, same for the enemies

yes!!

oh the only ones who know will be us. and we dont necessarily know each other are isekaid, until like we start conversing and such.

the people of this fe world only see the people they know in this fe world, and will refer to us as such.
so while my char has ediths consciousness, if someone talks to her they will call her nyxra or shadowmoon, same for your chars

in other words there is no concept of "isekaid" other ppl in this world we're an anomaly

Awesome, i'll see what I can come up with xD

Also gotcha, so it's like our characters have all the person they're becoming's memories. Definitely sounds fun :D

I’m proud to say I’ve finished my sheet! Should I post it over in the relevant thread and give you the opportunity to look it over? :D

Hazard Hazard
Like i said, i wont be too much of a stickler, but a villager that uses a sword?.. interesting XD

LOL
Survivor makes me laugh. While I love it in concept, and it makes total sense for some gamey skill. I find it absolutely hilarious this random village girl can just survive and tank any and all lethal hits lmao

This is a gms note: I also find it interesting your char's and your fe char's ages dont match up. I had debated on this myself, but ultimately didnt mention anything about it, as i hadnt really come to a consensus, i guess i just assumed peeps would match their ages

im guessing the merc group shes with is the Blacksteels? I wonder why she wasnt given a Blacksteel Sword, which is canonically basically a mix between Simple Sword and Iron Sword. I guess she just wants to use her iron sword?

at any rate, the bio is good! and accepted! :> i dont see anything wrong with it ! ^^ well done! :D

She wants to be a Swordmaster someday! ;D

I’m super glad you like Survivor! I thought it would fit a nice balance as a skill you could see in a video game which could have a believable function in-story. It makes me really happy to see you feel this way about it!! ✨

About the ages, I thought it would be neat if they didn’t perfectly sync up, but I can totally change it if that’s your preference! You’re the GM, after all.Being given the opportunity to be a player, I think it’s my responsibility to make sure I play in a way that my GM enjoys. ^-^

I decided to be vague about the names of groups and places so you as the GM could fill in the blanks the way you’d like them handled. If the Blacksteels are what you think would make for the best fit, then that’ll be who picked her up. I think in that case, her Iron Sword is because she’s not officially a member yet, being just a ‘hanger-on’ of sorts.

And thanks for enjoying the bio! I have something of a habit of effortposting when I probably don’t need to, so it always makes me feel good to see people appreciating my hard work.

Well i always appreciate effort put in! XD especially when it comes to my rps lol

well i would just wonder what shes doing here if it wasnt the blacksteel mercs she joined. i mean, it could be another merc group thats also helping out fighting against the empire, but youd have to kinda explain why you suddenly leave their merc group to help this merc group/this group of peeps at the beginning of the prologue or after it lol

ehhh about the ages.. i dont mind it much, so if you can handle how it works, then by all means keep the diff ages! :>

Okey dokey, Blacksteel it is then!

I’ll do my best to treat the idea with the respect it deserves, rather than just having it tacked on. 🫡

i added my answers to questions here to the lore tab

heres one for reference! :>

11a. You can choose at will to use whatever weapon you have in your inventory. These will just magically appear in your hand and can magically switch upon will. There is no explanation for it. It just happens. So if you want to use a Iron Sword one moment, and a Killing Edge the next, then the Killing Edge will just appear (the iron sword will disappear). However, you CAN still be disarmed in combat, which will work like it does in real life, if you drop a weapon, you'll need to pick it back up or get a new one (or just use another from your inventory).
