It was finally noon. The group was soon to be reunited. Osron had returned from his visit to the nearest tavern, and Sezer was waiting alongside him, with a slightly brightened look on his face. You arrive shortly after the two. Ferna came in last, who brought with her a new face - her mother, Verna.

The three of you were confused, as Ferna introduced her mother. Apparently, Ferna's mother simply had longer hair and a slightly taller frame, along with a decent-sized bust, compared to her. What's more confusing is that she does not look as old as they had expected. After Ferna introduced her mother, the two began to whisper to each other about their conspiracies and theories on Ferna and her mother, such as mysterious anti-aging rituals and whatnot.

Verna, her mother, immediately approached you before you could say a word.

"So you're the captain my daughter has been telling me about.", she said. "Nyle, wasn't it?"

"Yes.", you answer.

Before you could ask questions, mostly about the same topic those two behind are sneakily discussing, Verna pressed on some surprising matter to you.

"I'd like to join your troop.", she said.

The two stopped, and stared at her upon hearing her words. Ferna sighed from afar, and you were simply confused and surprised.

"I don't think you're fit for war, madam.", you said. "And I am not influential enough in the Empire to just recruit you to the military out of the blue."

Verna chuckled, then showed to you an old medallion bearing the military Vanate crest. "It'd be better if you don't judge by one's looks, young captain.", she said with a teasing tone.

"Hm.", you said. "Well, now I'm listening."

"Good.", she replied. "I have a horse ready, and I'm quite sure you'll find me to be a very valuable addition to your group."

"Ferna.", you called the timid daughter.

Upon hearing you, Ferna immediately approached you. "Y-yes, captain?"

"Can you vouch for your mother's words?", you asked her.

"O-of course, captain.", she answered.

"Very well then.", you said, turning your attention towards Verna. "Welcome to the troop."

"Glad to be here...", Verna replied. "...captain."

She and Ferna, then went to the stables, as you turned your attention to the two behind you. Osron was intrigued about Ferna's mother, due to her old Vanate crest, and Sezer was still surprised about her look and about your decision in accepting her to the team.

"Captain.", Osron addressed you. "Are you sure about this?"

"I trust Ferna.", you replied. "And if she trusts her mother, then so will I."

"But her crest is from the old times.", Osron added. "She might have lost her edge with all the years that had passed."

"We will find out what she is capable of soon enough. Besides, age does not define skill, Osron.", you said, then tapped his shoulder. "We've both learned that the hard way."

Orson chuckled. "That is true. I will trust your decision, then."

You lifted your hand off his shoulder, then walked past him and Sezer. "You should.", you said. "I am your captain, after all"

As you continued onward, heading towards the small building where the attendants of this infirmary are, you saw Klara running towards you, coming from the stables beside the establishment. You stopped in your tracks and faced her. She arrived a few seconds after.

"Captain!", she said, panting.

"What is it, Klara?", you asked her.

"Rumel has finished examining Atelan.", she replied.

"And?", you asked again.

"He said Atelan requires treatment.", she said.

"That is why we sent him here, did we not?", you replied.

"The treatment will take two days, captain.", she continued. "I'm afraid it will delay your visit to Sir Erstin."

"Hm.", you said. "I hoped it would be done today, but this changes things. Please call the others, Klara."

"Yes, captain.", she replied, and ran off.

After a few minutes, Klara came back, bringing Ferna and her mother, along with her horse. Sezer and Osron approached you just at the same time. Soon enough, the entire troop was gathered.

"Alright everyone.", you addressed them all. "Atelan is to be treated for two days here, but our visit with Sir Erstin cannot be delayed for more than a day. He is a very busy man, and will most likely be difficult to schedule a meeting with. Thus, I have decided."

Everyone paid close attention to your words.

"Two will be left behind here. And I will bring the rest to Orfose with me.", you said.

"Why two, captain?", Osron asked. "Only one is needed to keep an eye on Atelan."

"Because a single flier can easily be felled.", you replied. "With the war going on, we have to be more careful. Especially since we now know that Grawen troops are marching beyond their borders."

"I see.", Osron nodded.

"If things go well, we will return here after a day.", you continued. "If not, then I will send a message to the two left behind. Understood?"

"Yes captain!", all of them answered.

Who shall be left behind? Requires two choices.
