"How convenient that you've come to the same venue as my partner and I"

Tyro turned his head to see it was the Gunner from his last mission next too him. 'All great... Regalia...' If he was not so badly in pain he would have left the establishment by now. Now he had to suffer being interrogated by the enemy. "No Gunner, I expected it to be your mother." he answered sarcastically.

The waitress came back with the drinks. "By the way... Gunner... would you like a drink, how about you beast master," Tyro asked, "I just got paid from my side job, so just accept it... my treat." As much as he hated the idea of buying a drink with the guy who was trying to killing a few hours ago, he really did not feel like fighting right now. He would much rather sit back, share a couple of drinks, and talk about Blitz Ball. He sipped on his Long Island before gulping down his tart beverage. "Look I find the event weird too, but I just follow orders so i really don't care who was in the Truck. Also, I did not kill anyone nor did i get seen unlike a certain trio from Regalia i know of lolz."

"Don't associate us with the other...gentleman", Anzac replied, an extra flare of sarcasm inflecting upon his voice as he said his last word. Yan was nothing even close to a gentleman. He was a bloodthirsty sadist whom Anzac absolutely detested by,"No hard feelings about earlier, just business. And yeah, I'll take you up on a drink. Cherie, I'll take a Carbunckle Ale!" he waited for his next beer before speaking again,"It seems that the three of us were lied to. It didn't matter what side. Our superiors didn't want us knowing that the truck was carrying an Eidolon", he paused after saying the word Eidolon, as if it struck a cord within his mind,"We can all agree this isn't just going to go away, no?"

"It seems that the three of us were lied to. It didn't matter what side. Our superiors didn't want us knowing that the truck was carrying an Eidolon."

Eidolon this was the first time he heard the term. It would explain why the girl could fly and shoot ice without a wand or staff. "So she was not Human..." muttered Tyro disappointed.

"We can all agree this isn't just going to go away, no?"

"Only time will tell my enemies... only time will tell," Tyro picked up his drink and and took another sip, "The only things in my life that go away, are the thinks i cherish in life... Like sleeping, relaxing, and mission that dont involve a blade at my neck or being shot at ehh," Tyro nudged the gunner knowing he could relate. The waitress came back and refilled Tyro's drink. He took another sip and turned to the T.V. "I do not like the idea of being used though, do you know any dirt or clues that could give us a lead, Gunner, B.M.?"

"My name's Anzac, and this is Zero", he replied to the Zaferan, taking another swig of his beer."And as of now, no. Even if I did know, we aren't exactly on 'sharing' terms. Take what happened as a sign of things to come. There's an Eidolon on the loose that for all we know could turn back into a human and blend back into the local populace. That, and the Military will be out looking for their merchandise. If there were absolutely any witnesses, they could possibly tie the three of us to the scene. Our superiors are also going to be curious as to what happened", Anzac stopped again to drink," I gave you our names because if you give them out, you know your fate is sealed as well. It seems we're all in this together, so you might as well give me your name"

Tyro finished his meal and was cleaning up after his self. "Fair enough, They call me Tyro. I tried to keep my work and private life separate so lighting up some Gunner... Anzac. " He got out of his seat and stretched his limbs. "Hopefully the next time we meet, you can treat me to a drink instead of attempting to put a bullet through my head," he laughed. Then he walked out the bar and headed to HQ.

He walked into the information center of Azure Entente, "ANYONE HOME." After a few seconds of silence, a recruit Tyro's age entered the room, "Hey Clutch, what brings you to this place." Slap the guy on the back, I need some information on the Tristanian Military. Goals, known transports, resource movements ect." The kid walked behind an counter and pulled out a book, "Are you ok, the Tyro i know would rather sleep all day then do research." Tyro scratched his chin thinking of a good excuse to give besides rank. "Lets just say i got a new mission, come on man do me this favor."

Zero stayed quiet and listened to the other two's conversation, she kind of regretted fleeing from the Eidolan. She was proud of herself she had connected the name and face properly. Tommorow she was to go see Saorise so she came up with a reason for absence. She looked at Anzac to give him an excuse for the absence beforehand. "I'm a bit worried about this Eidolan, I want to spend tomorrow to see what I can learn about them" She normally hated studying unless it was something that interested her like when she spent a week studying the anatomy Cactaur and Behemoths. Usually updating her bestiary, she even took the time to learn what she could about Moogles.

Anzac eventually made his way to Regalia headquarters on the far North end of town. The giant stone complex had originally been a fortress designed to protect past lords of Dimidiam when Tristany was fragmented. In the present day it served as one of the last symbols declaring the existence of noble blood. Once he reached the gates, Anzac was subject to the standard identity check procedures. He was required to show his red rose emblem, as well as whisper their password to the guards and verify his identity. Once the guard concluded that Anzac was not a threat, he looked over a sheet of paper," It seems you are wanted at the Duke's chamber"

The words hit him like a blow to the stomach. Anzac had never feared Duke Valentino before, but the circumstances were much different now. He had not only failed to execute a mission, but was also aware that he had been given false information prior to its engagement. Nodding, keeping a straight face and heading into the complex. From there, he strode upon the marble floor of HQ. It was completely spotless, and shown brightly in contrast to the otherwise red decor of the establishment. After climbing a series of spiral staircases, he reached the door of the Illusive Duke Valentino. Gilgamesh's hulking frame stood in front of the door, handing set upon the handle of his blade. As he saw Anzac, he nodded and stepped to the side. The Gunner took a deep breath, possibly his last, and entered the office...

"Sorry Tyro as much as i would love to help you... your acting weird... i think you should go calm down... or even talk to the Boss, I heard you failed your last mission and ran out before anything serious happened." Said the guy calmly.

"BUT BUT BUT... there was this hot girl... and ... oh never mind... i remember this, next time you need me to bail you out of something," he responded in anger.

He walked up the Bosses room and knocked. He was sweating bricks fearing what she was going to do to him. After all he did fail a very important mission. Only time will tell as the doors slowly opened up. A guard questioned who he was but he whispered something in his ear. The guard did a quick bow and allowed him in. After walking a series of hallways and through like 10 doors. He wandered into a secert passage which lead to the boss. "Boss... I'm back... from my break... I wanted to talk to you about my last mission," he demanded.

Duke's chamber was adorned with sculptures of heroes of Tristany's past, as well as portraits of his noble ancestors. His desk was a finely crafted piece of dark wood with various creatures carved into its design. At the end of the room was a large window. Facing this window was the Duke himself, dressed in a fine black suit, his dark hair draped upon his shoulders and his hands clasped behind his back. As he overlooked the Dimidiam, it was as if he was casting a shadow over the whole city. people from the lowest rungs of society to its most prestigious families were within his grasp.

"Anzac, make yourself comfortable", Duke said, not turning around to face him,"Yan returned earlier and gave me his report. I see that that the three of you could not retrieve the target"

"Unfortunately, other variables were at play", Anzac replied, clenching his fist in anticipation

"It seems that I had under prepared you as well", Valentino replied,"I've sent out another team to deal with the matter. You haven't spoken of the matter to anyone, have you?"

"You know I don't talk, Duke", Anzac responded.

"I'm well aware", the Duke sneered a bit, finally turning around and placing an envelope on his desk,"By the way, I have a message for you"

Meanwhile, in Azure HQ

Saorise was overlooking files within her office, her brow furrowed underneath her blonde lockes. As always, Hilde, her bodyguard, was standing at her side, lance in hand. The Azure leader looked up," Ah yes, Tyro. I received your report regarding your mission. Please, before we speak any further about the manner, I'd like you to close the door behind you"

"Y-Yes of course maim," Tyro closed the door behind him. Behind her was a fireplaces which warmed the other wises cold area. Photos and plaques fluttered the walls. Everything from her first monster kill to the day she became general. One could easily see her resume by a quick glance at any section at a section if the wall.

"So my last mission, I understand you want me to be," he shiver in disgust before finishing his sentence, "being the best fighter I could be with these solo mission but could I get some assistance... I mean Regalia are working in groups of three.. That's like 3 times the more work for me... They even had an assassin who was licking the blood from his blade and an cute Beast master... I much prefer some cute girl over an crazy wacko... Please don't assign me to a wacko." He looked up to see her staring him down, as if she was looking through his soul. He pulled on his breast plate to air out his armor before continuing, "Or you know, I could take what you get me... But I'm filing a complaint so give me something... What happens when I run into the yellow flan of DOOM, my sword is not gonna protect me from its jello-ness... And speaking for things I can't handle like my job... I don't think I am properly train to handle missions like the last one... That hot girl/Edilon/ice monster was dangerous, why don't you beleive me when I tell you about her." (Last time he mention her to the boss he left out Edilon) 'Ok doing good she not ready too kill me yet good time to close it..'

"Also since when do we attack the Tristainnan military, I have no problem attack people, but I was under the impression we help the people, not start wars. I didn't get seen but the regalia agents saw me and we know what snitches they are. I'm just saying throw me a bone woman..."

Then he started to panic, "I mean boss lady, general, the ever forgiving, kind woman... Please don't hurt me..." Tyro was already cowering at behind her desk and too scared to see his her face.

Zero had her excuse now and nobody seemed too suspicious so she planned on seeing Saorise tomorrow but when she though about it, there really wasn't anything else to do so she figured she might as well pay the Azure Entente a visit. She always kept an ID card in her inventory for times like these, it gave her access to Azure headquarters so she could get past the guards. But when she was going to see Saorise she heard the guy from earlier's voice so she stayed quiet and tried not to laugh at Tyro's pleas for the boss not to hurt him.

"Eidolon.....", Saorise murmured, "I didn't know they had come so far", regaining her composure, the Azure leader pulled her chair back and stood up with posture reminiscent of her Army days,"Tyro, I sent you on the mission solo because that cargo wasn't supposed have contained a completed Eidolon. And really, you'd like to call it a hot girl? Ugh, the weakness of man lies between his legs", Saorise shuddered, putting her face in her hand and then snapping back to the issue at hand."It is absolutely imperative that Regalia not get their hands on this weapon. You're not alone, though, Tyro. Hilde, let our next guest in",Saorise's bodyguard made her way over to the door let Zero in .

Anzac's eyes grew wide as he read the instructions on the piece of paper that Duke had handed him,"Duke, with all do respect, this is illogical! The festival of the moon is tonight. With so many witnesses and people there, the chances of success are slim and blowback is...."

"Anzac, the game has been changed", Duke replied, keeping his cool demeanor,"We are both in pursuit of this Eidolon. Saorise will be at the festival, and this will be one of the few opportunities where she is out in the open. If she is eliminated now, the Entente will be in disorder, and give us the edge in retrieving the Eidolon. In a crowd like that, it will be hard to spot you, and Yan will be there to give you support"

The Gunner couldn't believe it. He was frequently used to execute missions, but the Duke had never asked him to assassinate some one. Especially not the head of their oponents.

Tyro turned around seeing a familiar face. 'It cant be... thats impossible.. how did she break in.' The person in front of him was a beast of her own. She had looks, power, and as much if not more knowledge on monsters then he did. At least he hope she did because it was apart of her class description. The girl who was apart of that Gunner team, the one and only BeastMaster of Regalia Zero. "Ze.. i mean... uhh... BEAST MASTER of Regalia. HOW did you enter this place." Tyro pulled out his sword and jumped back ready to use his strongest attack.

"DONT WORRY, I'LL PROTECT YOU BOSS," Tyro shouted, "You shall not lay a claw on my Bosses body." He pointed his blade at the door, "Why are you here and where your gunner partner?"

Zero couldn't help but chuckle this time. "Tyro was it? no need to worry I'm an ally, I'm not exactly loyal to Regalia or my partner, I came here on business but see you have already told her about the Eidolan. But nevertheless Regalia will also be after the Eidolan. If we can tame her than I believe we will have enugh power to take down Regalia, I heard from the duke's personal guards that he will also be at the festival, I can relay information back to you about his location at the time and if we have tge Eidolan tamed by then I can take them down from the inside while your people handle the rest."

"Excellent, Zero!", Saorise smiled. She then looked to Tyro," Zero has been with us for quite some time. She's been essential in keeping an edge against Regalia. And please, protect me? There's nothing Hilde couldn't handle", she then nodded to her bodyguard. She once again directed her attention to Zero,"So, this Gunner witnessed the Eidolon? And there was one more in your group?"

"One shot to change the world, Anzac. The fate of this nation lies within your hands....."

Anzac exited Regalia's fortress with a conflicted heart. He been gone from the field of battle for over three years now, but he just couldn't lay down his arms. Why was he doing this? Was it for the cause? Anzac had lived in near poverty for most of his life, and didn't care for aristocrats. Was it for Tristany? His country had sent him to a distant land to kill men that he had no qualms with aside from opposing flags. It was for loyalty. Duke had given him a life after the War. But was the cost of the lives of others worth preserving his own? The Gunner took a seat on a bench near Central Square. Vendors and entertainers were busy setting up for the start of the Festival at the rise of the moon. Children laughed and played in the streets, their parents easing up on their normal regimen in the spirit of holiday. Anzac closed his eyes and tilted his head back. If only he could capture this moment and live within it forever....

Zero nodded "That is correct there was also an assasin there, I can't say that I know him too well but he does alot of Regalia's dirty work is all I know of him." Zero looked at her and ganced over to Tyro for a second before turning to face Saorise once again. "The festval is to start soon, I'll meet with Regalia there and tell youof what happens, this is only my gut feeling but I think that our Eidolan friend will be there as well"

"Hilde, I want you to double security at the festival. Is this thing attends, I want us to be prepared to take it", The Azure leader then looked to Zero,"The Assassin and Gunner, I want you to tail them. If Regalia used them to try to obtain the Eidolon, chances are that they will be deployed once more", Saorise overlooked her desk, cluttered with plans and maps,"So our grand game has come to this, Duke", she thought to herself,"Who is willing to go further to achieve the ultimate prize?"

Tyro watched as the 3 females made plans to do dangerous things on the night of the festival. Tyro let out a sigh, "I'm never told anything... Wait Boss i have an idea. Why don't I disguise my self as a regular guy at the festival. I will blend in with the crowd as i play those fun festival games like a ninja... NO WAIT... AN assassin. Just like the one from those books. You know, the one where the guy dresses in white and jumps off 1000 ft buildings but lands in hay and walks away without injury. Yea then when the hot girl... wait i mean, Eidolon comes, i can ask her out... i mean ask her to join us. I'm sure she say yes to a night at the Peach garden's restaurant, they have the best bread sticks." His eyes were so lite up, somebody could see a hint of passion fruit growing in his brain.

(This is the part when someone slaps some sense into Tyro... for being stupid)

Saorise gave Tyro a blank stare for a few seconds," Tyro....remember what I said about a man's weakness being between his legs? You're doing nothing but affirming that statement!", she then slammed her hands on her desk," Tell me something, is this a revolution, or just a game to you? Here we are trying to gain the upper hand against Regalia, and all you can think of is lusting after our target. If you want to further your love life, you can lay down your sword and do it on your own time! I need to know that my soldiers are 100% for the cause. I don't need personnel who are occupied by distractions. If you would like to pursue your desires instead, you can leave this building right now"

Tyro turned pale and lower his head, "Im sry Saorise... I will take this seriously..." Then he took a knee, "Saorise I am 100% for Azure, and as your officer, i will give my life up right now if you ask." Tyro grabbed his sword ready to act on his leaders word. "Being serious Saorise, I think we should not factor out the idea of a peaceful solution to obtain the power of the Eidolon. When i first encountered her, she was not aggressive until put in danger. She a creature who bares her fangs only when backed into a corner. Her ice magic was strong but it was not deadly, only used in defense. Please trust my judgement on this Boss."

The commander scratched her chin,"Hm...non-violent capture", she muttered, the oxymoron reverberating in her head,"And Tyro, I appreciate the dedication, but you may stand. As for this Eidolon...Zero is perhaps the closest thing that we have in this organization to a summoner. Tyro, if you could aid in fending off possible threats, Zero might be able to succeed where blades do not"
Anzac's mind drifted off as he sat on the bench, and time seemed to move backwards.....

"AAAAAH! I'm hit, I'm fucking hit!", a voice screamed. The air was filled with the sounds of gunshots, clashing metal and the eruption of spells filled the air, and yet still this cry was the primary sound that reached Anzac's ears. He looked slightly younger, with much shorter hair. The lines on the right side of his scalp were nonexistent, and the left side of his face was visible. He looked dirty and ragged, his blue Tristanian Army uniform mirroring his face. He was crouched down behind some large rocks with four other figures. The area around them was mountainous, and yet covered in vegetation.

"Kell is down, Wedge, you need to get to him now!", a female voice shouted.

A shorter man in Tristanian uniform scurried over and began casting a healing spell, but then suddenly stopped.

"What's the damn hold up?", another male asked after casting a fira on a charging adversary.

"He's....already dead, Biggs", Wedge choked.

Anzac fired a couple of shots, but he couldn't really see the enemy in such a haze. All he knew was that they were grossly outnumbered,"This is hopeless...we need to retreat. If we don't, it's the same as suicide!"

"Where are we gonna run, huh?!", the woman asked questioned, he sword drawn,"Running might make it even easier to kill us"

"The path behind us leads to a series of chasms in the mountain, I saw it when I was scouting", Anzac responded,"There's no way the Zaferans could track us, Lene, and there's not enough gain the the pursuit. We have to leave now, though! Take it or leave it?!"

Biggs and Wedge both looked at Kell's corpse and then to each other. They both solemnly nodded.
"Fine, let's roll out!", Lene surrendered. The quartet sped into the rocky depths of the mountain, not knowing what they would find....

Tyro rose and saluted Saorise, "I go and prepare for event, see you at the festival." Tyro walked out of the room. As he passed the Beast Master, he whispered in her ear, "Just because you are supposedly on my team, does not mean i dont have my eye on you... I dont trust you."

Tyro exit the room and prepare for the mission... And by prepared, he really meant go to sleep in the training room that nobody ever uses. He hid all sorts of things like food, drinks, a board game, pillows, and other crap that made his life easier in this nightmarish of a room.

(sorry I've been absent for so long, I've been busy lately)

The sun was beginning to set on the city of Dimidiam, and the colorful lights of the festival were being activated. The already occupied streets were filling with people and the noise of countless people could not be ignored. Anzac rose from his bench and walked into the crowd, becoming untraceable after a few moment. The gunner started to scope out the area in which he would perform his act.

Tyro ran to the festival, 'OMG IM LATE>..> i was suppose to get here early so i can get that limited supply Jerky.' He saw the stand he was aiming for. "OPERATION FOOD undergo," he ran to the man who had just set up shop, "Sir I want like 10 Jerkies please." The man nodded and started cooking the food, "It may take a while sir, i have only just set up... it should not be longer then 20 mins." Tyro face turned pale... 'The man was also late... and 20 minutes...' Normally Tyro would not care, but because his mission to capture the blue girl could begin at any time, he was worried he would not make it back... "OK sir i will wait and protect your stand from the evils of delay, is there anything i can help you with." The man laughed, and offered Tyro a apron and a list of chores, if you can do all of this for me, i will give you 20 jerky sticks for free. Tyro's eyes lit up, sure he hated working, but he loved free stuff. So it balanced out. He quickly put on the apron and started running the chores.

The podium was being set up close to the central clock tower in the square. Normally, Anzac would have posted on the tower, but the Entente would be expecting that. His gaze then shifted towards a Jerkie stand. Anzac's eyes then gravitated to the male manning the kitchen,"Is that....the fighter from earlier?". Out of curiosity, the gunner made his way to the counter of the stand,"Did you get fired from your gig with Saorise already?", he asked with a sneer, assuming his sarcastic personality.
