Story

Seven Years ago, a war arose between the nations of Tristany and Zafera regarding the Magic-rich territory of Tulum, to which both States laid claim. After four years of horrific fighting, the Zaferans emerged victorious, leaving Tristany in shambles. It has been three years now since the end of the conflict, and the situation is not much better. Because their government has become greatly weakened, factions have been able to prosper and seek out their own ends. Of any group, there are two that wield the most power. This first is Regalia, which aims to keep the old aristocracy in power. The second is the Azure Entente, which aims to destroy the old system and install a new republic. As these two wage war within the capital of Dimidiam, something seems amiss, as if the shadows of the war still linger amongst those locked within the Clash of Roses.​



 



Current Events

-Three memebers of Regalia, Yan, Anzac and Zero attacked a truck thought to be an Azure weapons shipment


-Tyro, a member of the Entente, attacked it believing it was one of their's


-The shipment was actually Military Cargo, containing the Eidolon Shiva


-After a battle, Shiva fled and Yan pursued


-Anzac, Tyro and Zero all took shelter in Tonberry's, a bar

Setting



The technology of this world is similar to that of Earth in the early 20th Century. Early cars pass one another on the streets, trains rules the tracks and the sky is littered with airships. Telephones adorns the tables of the homes of the rich, and there is rumor of moving pictures on big screen in the air. Travelers must be wary of possible monster ambushes throughout rural parts of the world. There are two main countries that this backstory revolves around; Zafera and Tristany. Zafera, to the SouthEast, is a Federal Monarchy. The Sultan rules in their capital of Dezul, but the individual provinces enjoy free reign so long as they pay taxes to the Sultan. Zaferans typically have darker features than Tristanians. Tristany, on the other hand, once had a strong centralized government run by a handful of nobles. This government has become weak and unstable since the end of the Tulum War. Because of their weak financial state, several Zaferan companies have entered Tristany in an attempt to capitalize on their rebuilding, but they are often treated with contempt. The cities throughout Tristany essentially rule themselves.

Dimidiam




Dimidiam the capital of Tristany, as well as the setting of the story, is a sprawling metropolis consisting of great towers and super structures. Despite the toll that the war took upon it, it has still retained its rich culture. However, the economy, and several of the people, have not been spared. The streets are relatively lawless due to how poor the government is. Regalia and the Azure Entente are able to wage their war in the city as long as they do not endanger civilians.

Listed below are the available factions for a character's alignment. If a player wishes to add another, they simply need to PM me a name and description.

Regalia




Regalia is an organization dedicated to restoring the former glory of the Tristanian Empire. They are symbolized by a red rose. It is their goal to rework and strengthen the aristocratic hold on the capital and then increase stability. Because they are backed by some of the wealthiest families in the country, they possess more sophisticated weaponry and better trained personnel.

Azure Entente




The Entente was founded by members of the working class who grew tired of the false democracy and wished for their voices to be heard. They aim to create a new Tristanian Republic. They are symbolized by a blue rose. Although the Entente lacks the funding that Regalia has, they have power in sheer numbers.

Duke Valentino



Hailing from the renowned Valentino family, Centurius Valentino is the Duke of the province of Dimidiam. Better known by his title, the Duke is both eloquent and enigmatic. Although much is known of his family’s history, his own is a mystery. Despite his secrecy, his is often seen around the city, usually without protection. Due to his charisma, he is the leader of Regalia and orchestrates their every action. Valentino may gaze upon the public, but what truly lies behind the eyes of the Duke when they gaze back?

Saorise Advent



Having been a distinguished war hero, it could have been assumed the Saorise would have aided the Aristocracy when she returned from Tulum. Instead, she collaborated with fellow commanders and formed the Azure Entente. Brash and uncompromising, Saorise is often hard to handle, but these characteristics have helped her to catapult the Entente to its current status. She is seldom seen without her bodyguard, Hilde.

Job Descriptions


Archer


Archers equip bows and arrows . Their high accuracy and ranged attacks make them effective from a distance or the back row. Archers usually come with the ability to Aim, which delivers a highly accurate attack at the cost of time or power. Their defense or magic is lacking, so they keep out of trouble by keeping away from the fight. Usually their effectiveness is coupled with some other form of offense, like status attacks or weak magic.

Eagle Eye Shot - Powerful ranged attack


Sharpshot - Increase ranged accuracy


Camouflage - Become hidden from enemies


Barrage - Fire multiple shots

Alchemist


Chemists increase the potency of the party's items, usually being restricted to healing items such as potions and ethers. They can also mix two items to create strange and wondrous effects like healing, attacking, or support.

Bard


The spooniest of all job classes. The bard's primary job is support through singing songs which affect either the party's or enemies' status through their equipped harps. Their other ability is hiding from battle, reducing the party for one, then leaving one weak member to fend for himself if everyone dies.

Soul Voice - Double effectiveness of songs


Bard Song - Sing a song to enhance party attributes or debilitate enemies

Beastmaster


Beastmasters exert control over monsters, commanding them to do their bidding and attack. Usually, Beastmasters need to wear down the enemy first, then either capture them or use them right away.

Charm - Tame a monster to fight by your side


Familiar - Enhance pet's powers and increase length of charm


Gauge - Check to see if an enemy can be tamed


Reward - Feed pet to restore its HP

Berserker


Berserkers have one simple motivation - fight! Wielding axes or claws, Berserkers are true to their name - they can only fight. Their high strength and high HP make them ideal frontline fighters, but their lack of control and low magic attributes are disadvantageous against certain enemies.

Instinct:


Cripple - Cut enemy HP in half


Mad Rush - Inflict severe damage on enemy. High chance of failure.

Unhinge - Damage and lower enemy evasion


Intimidate - Damage and slow enemy


Envenom - Damage and poison enemy


Hurt - Inflict damage equal to user's HP

Black Mage


Black Mages are one of the most frequently appearing job classes, right up there with its opposite - White Mage. Black Mages have the ability to cast Black Magic, which is defined as magic intended to harm or enfeeble the target. . They tend to be the most powerful in magic power, but less in magic defense, when compared to the White Mage. And like all mages, they have very little attack power.

Elemental Seal - Enhances accuracy of next spell


Black Magic - Cast Black Magic

Blue Mage


This class may have evolved from Scholar, but with extremely increased usefulness. It is the first job class of its kind to be able to cast spells and abilities of other monsters. These spells range from very weak to very powerful, but they are difficult and time-consuming to obtain. In most cases, the Blue Mage has to be attacked with the spell in order to learn it, which becomes a problem with powerful spells and spells meant for healing. With random enemy encounters, this class can be one of the most challenging, but most fun.

Azure Lore - Enhance effect of Blue Magic spells


Burst Affinity - Make the next Blue Magic spell able to be used in a Magic Burst

Dancer


Dancers cast a random effect on their enemies, much like a bard. They must learn dances either through AP or experience.

Slow Dance - Lower target speed


Polka Polka - Lower target's attack power

Dragoon


Dragoons have an affinity for dragon killing through their spears and polearms, and often wear dragon-related gear. Their main characteristic is the Jump ability. When activated, they jump out of the battlefield for about the length of a turn. They can't receive damage and can't be controlled during this time. When time expires, the Dragoon delivers an attack from above for much more damage than a normal attack. Very typically, they are the only other class besides Knight that can equip shields and/or heavy armor

Spirit Surge - Add wyvern's strength to own (Only if strong enough to become a Dragoon Fusion)


Call Wyvern - Summon a wyvern to fight by side


Ancient Circle - Increases party's resistance against dragons


Jump - Perform jumping attack on enemy


Spirit Link - Sacrifice HP to heal wyvern


High Jump - Perform high jumping attack on enemy


Super Jump - Perform jumping attack on enemy

ATTRIBUTES:


Fighter


The fighter is a generic class that has high physical strength and defense. The distinguishing characteristic is that the Fighter always evolves into a Knight, or some similar class (except when it is a character). The Fighter usually has little to no abilities (until it evolves) and no magic, but can equip a majority of the weapons the party comes across, including large swords. Its primary function is as a stepping stone to a better job class.

Beatdown - 2x damage with 1/2 accuracy

Gambler


These characters and jobs are based on games of chance, such as slots, cards, and dice. They can do great damage, little damage, heal, or even kill everyone in the party, all on a random whim. (You must also Roll a dice on every attack post that you make one you are a gambler)

Geomancer


Geomancers use attack magic primarily, but instead of having a set list of spells, their magic is determined by the setting they are fighting in, and don't use MP. For example, if fighting in a desert or mountains, Geomancers might cast Earth magic

Gunners equip guns (what else?) and do a great job of combining heavy physical attacks with status effects. Like archers, they typically have great accuracy and marksmanship, and offset their weak defense with their distance attacks.

Mime


Mimes have mysterious origins and only ever have one ability - Mime. Mime copies the very last action done by a party member without using MP, HP, or anything costly. This can be very devastating or very ineffective, sometimes detrimental. The trick is to time the activation of the Mime command.

Monk


Monks are known for their weaponless approach to fighting, relying on the way of the fist. What they lack in strength, the make up for in HP and endurance. Their costumes often indicate some sort of Far East training, and their ability to equip armor or weapons is lacking or even non-existent. They also come with the Counter ability, which causes the user to reflexively attack after being physically attacked.


WEAPONS: Uses bare hands or claws best


ABILITIES/MAGIC:


Hundred Fists - Speed up attacks


Boost - Enhance next attack


Dodge - Enhance evasion


Focus - Enhance accuracy


Chakra - Cure status effects and restore a small amount of HP


Chi Blast - Chi projectile attack


Counterstance - Increases chance to counter, but lowers defense


SUPPORT ABILITIES: Martial Arts, Subtle Blow, Counter, Max HP Boost, Kick Attacks


ATTRIBUTES: High speed, high HP, high attack power


Red Mage


Red Mages are the only class that can cast two vastly different kinds of magic - white and black, making them a "jack-of-all-trades". The disadvantage is it cannot cast very powerful magic from either color, so being proficient in many arts, it is a master of none.

Chainspell - Allows rapid spellcasting


Convert - Swap HP and MP


White Magic - Cast White Magic


Black Magic - Cast Black Magic

Morpher


This class morphs into enemies which the Morpher has the souls of. The only way to get souls is to harvest them from monsters captured by a Hunter.

Scholar


Scholars' sole defining ability is Peep or Scan. This allows them to spy on the enemy's status, HP, MP and other statistics. They can also cast all kind of magic other than blue up to level 5

Summoner


Summoners add the most flavor to Final Fantasy. Instead of fighting for themselves, they summon giant monsters to either fight for them or support the party at the cost of time, MP, or something else. This makes them effective for boss battles, but overkill on regular monsters.

Astral Flow - Allow avatars to use their full power


SUPPORT ABILITIES: Max MP Boost, Clear Mind, Resist Slow, Auto Refresh


ATTRIBUTES: High MP


Thief


The defining characteristics of the thief are its green rag-tag clothing and the ability to steal items from the enemy. However, there is typically an item in the game, usually called the "Thief Glove" to change some ability related to the Thief. Steal also usually gives way to "Mug" later in the game, where the job can both attack and steal at the same time. They typically equip knives or short swords and thrive on living in the shadows. Their agility/speed allows them to escape from battles easier.

Perfect Dodge - Evade all physical attacks


Steal - Steal items from enemy


Sneak Attack - Deal critical damage when striking from behind


Flee - Increase speed


Trick Attack - Deal extra damage when striking from behind a party member


Mug - Steal gil from enemy


Hide - Become invisible


SUPPORTED ABILITIES: Gilfinder, Evasion Bonus, Resist Gravity, Treasure Hunter, Triple Attack, Assassin


ATTRIBUTES: High speed, low attack power


Time Mage


Time mages have the ability to slow down and speed up the actions of people, along with a hodge-podge of other spells. Like Bards, their magic is not damage-causing, thus they are no more than a weak support job. With many other classes that can kill the enemy before they even have a chance to attack, this class tends to fall by the wayside. Some Time Mages also can cast Meteor, a high damage attack with a low accuracy.

Time Magic: Haste, Haste 2, Slow, Slow 2, Stop, Don't Move (more effective Stop), Float, Reflect, Quick (increase everyone's speed), Demi, Demi 2, Meteor


Reaction Abilities: Critical Quick (when HP is critical, selected action is next executed), MP Switch (physical damage translates to lost MP)


Support Abilities: Short Charge (CT shortened)


Move Abilities: Teleport (move immediately to destination, chance of failure proportional to distance), Float


ATTRIBUTES: High magic power, low attack power, low evasion


White Mage


White Mages are the direct opposite of Black Mages. Instead of using their magic to hurt, they use it to heal or protect. As such, most white mages are portrayed as females. Like other mages, they tend to be weak in strength, and in their case, have very little offensive power. They offset this by supporting the party in defense.

Benediction - Restore a large amount of HP and remove all status ailments for party


Divine Seal - Enhances power of next healing spell


Martyr - Sacrifice 25% HP to heal party member (healing equals 2x sacrificed HP)


Devotion - Sacrifice 25% HP to give party member same amount of MP


White Magic - Cast White Magic


SUPPORT ABILITIES: Magic Defense Up, Clear Mind, Auto Regen, Divine Veil


ATTRIBUTES: High magic defense, low physical defense, low attack power


Knight


A knight high strength and low magic, it is characterized by the ability to lower enemy statistics through the use of "breaks" (e.g., mindbreak, powerbreak).

Head Break - Destroy item equipped on enemy's head


Armor Break - Destroy item equipped on enemy's chest

Dark Knight


It is characterized by a predilection towards dark combat. Like a knight, this class focuses on strength-based attacks, but also uses black magic to harm the enemy, though this leaves its defense low. One of its most distinguishing characteristics is DarkWave (a.k.a. Darkness), an ability which sacrifices the character's HP in order to do more damage.

Blood Weapon - Causes all attacks to drain enemy's HP


Arcane Circle - Increases party resistance to Arcana monsters (artifact monsters like pots and dolls)


Last Resort - Increases attack, lowers defense


Weapon Bash - Attack that has chance of stunning enemy


Soul Eater - Consume own HP to enhance attacks


Black Magic - Cast Black Magic (low-level)


SUPPORT ABILITIES: Attack Bonus, Resist Paralyze


ATTRIBUTES: High attack power, low defense, low accuracy


Paladin


Paladins are much like Knights, except for one key difference - they have white magic. Though their power in this tends to be low, it works well for certain tight situations. Some jobs also have the "Cover" ability, which makes the paladin jump in front of a character (sometimes with low HP, sometimes not) and take physical damage for them. The polar opposite to the Dark Knight, the Paladin acts as a protector of allies, rather than a destroyer of enemies. They gravitate towards working in groups, whereas the Dark Knight tends to work alone.

OVERVIEW: Can wear the heaviest armor in the game


Magic Knight


Magic Knights combine great strength with the ability to assign elemental affinities to their weapon (such as Fire, Water, Holy, etc.) In effect, it allows you to make a physical attack and a magic attack at the same time. However, enemies that are invulnerable to elemental affinities, or certain types of attacks will receive the same damage as if the attack were one or the other (e.g., if a snake absorbs ice damage, it will absorb the damage from an Ice Sword Magic spell). They're a little weaker than knights, but make up for it with their stronger attributes in magic power and magic defense.

Though they resemble a pirate and equip guns, their abilities are rooted in rolling dice for various effects. The rolls in Phantom Roll are named after other jobs, and have an effect related to that job.

Songstresses use their voices and dancing to give damage, and can increase their partys performance


Ninja


Ninjas are usually associated with the Throw command which allows the user to take an item or unequipped weapon from the inventory and throw it at the enemy for massive damage. The downfall is this item/equipment is lost forever as soon as it is thrown, so it's essential to choose wisely. They also come with high speed, high agility, and an affinity for thievery. They also have the staple of being able to equip a sword in each hand, doubling their attack power.

Bio: Anzac was born into a lower-class family in Southern Tristany. Due to his low status, he was drafted into the Tristanian military when he turned eighteen and was shipped to Tulum. There, he experienced his side at their most desperate and sustained a number of scars to his face. While in the hospital, he encountered Duke Valentino. The Duke arranged for Anzac’s leave and to repay him, Anzac agreed to work for Valentino’s political party-turned militant group, Regalia. Although his sarcasm remained in tact, Anzac returned home a very different man than he left as. He grew out his hair in order to cover the scars he received on the right side of his face as if to hide his history there. Being disillusioned by the war, Anzac lost any sense of national identity that he had as a Tristanian, and instead pledged his loyalty to Duke Valentino. Although he sees himself as having abandoned his role as a soldier, he still uses violence for a cause, making him a hypocrite.

    "A beautiful city, split into two. Each half holds value, but neither could match the potential of unified whole. Perhaps it is not a restored whole this world needs.The only thing that can fill this void may be a reborn entity. The actors are slated on each side of this epic and the pages are ready to turn. Hopefully, this will not be the Final Fantasy...."


    The moon shone over a sprawling city in otherwise pitch black surroundings. The several clocks strewn upon its towers told the time to be two hours and one quarter past the stroke of midnight. These towers of colossal proportions cast large shadows. Underneath one such shadow hid two figures, only visible thanks to the glowing end of a lit cigarette. One of the figures was leaned up against a wall with his arms crossed. Long bangs draped over the right side of his face, while his steely gray left eyes scanned the horizon. He wore a sleek black suit with a white button down underneath. His hands grazed over the handguns that he had packed into his suit jacket. He donned an impatient look upon his face.


    "No need to be so tense, Anzac", the second figure said with a sinister grin,"The fun is just about to start".


    "Yeah, Yan, 'Fun'. Can't wait to go bobbing for heads next,", Anzac replied sarcastically. Since the time he had met him, Yan had given Anzac the creeps. His assigned partner's red eyes seemed to delight in anything macabre, and the stitching across his neck didn't help to redeem with appearance. The two had been stationed out this night in order to intercept a supposedly secret Entente weapons shipment that they had heard about from one of their moles. Anzac could see why they had been paired up for the task. They were both fast and efficient, he just wasn't happy about it, " Put that cigarette out before we get spotted.", Anzac shook his head," By the way, any other personnel joining us tonight?"


    "Boss nevers tells us about other parties involved just in case one of us gets captured. You're slipping up", Yan replied, putting the cigarette out on his finger without even flinching.

(My apologies for being absent lately, I've been very busy. I will reactivate this RP at some point tonight) 
Anzac pulled his handguns from his jacked and switched off the safties, looking over to Yan," Alight, I'll shoot for the tires. Once the target's still, you go over and raid the cargo, I'll cover you."


"You coward!", Yan remarked, pulling out his knives and licking them, a maniacal look appearing one his already sinister eyes," Suit yourself, That leaves me with the morsels"


"His parents must be so proud", Anzac thought to himself, shaking off the comments. The headlights grew brighter as the truck neared. Anzac raised his guns and opened fired upon the wheels. The bullets met their mark and the truck skidded into a curb before slowly tipping over, eventually crashing on its side with a deafening thud. "This is going to draw attention, we need to end this fast", Anzac thought as he scanned the truck for any figures to emerge. Yan, on the other hand, bolted towards the fallen truck on instinct, knives ready.
 
Tyro was sitting in a bush after hearing word that an Regalia weapon shipment was traveling this way.... or was it a supply shipment. It was some kind of shipment, and Regalia did not need the extra fire power. While debating on which shipment it was, the Truck passed by him shaking the earth as it transverse the earth. "Stupid truck, im trying to think about this," he shouted as if the truck would hear him, "I swear these supply lines are so nois..." He poked his head out the bush to see the the truck escaping his view.


He slapped his for head, "NOOO truck come back." He pulled his fist back ready to fire an air render, but it was out of range. "DANG IT," he yelled, "WAIT UP." He ran behind the truck knowing he wouldn't not be able to catch it. 'My boss is gonna kill me... oh-my-god oh-my-god oh... my... god...' He heard gun shoots. He dived to the ground before seeing the truck stop.


'LUCKY, somebody else is raiding it, probably some bandits.' He put on a big grin. They did all the hard work for him by detracting the guards. He ran up to the truck but dived behind a tree after seeing some guy running behind a turned over truck with some daggers. "Ninjas, it had to be ninjas... and worst they turned over the truck... How am i suppose to get all of that to HQ..." he whispered to his self, "We im not letting this ninja take my prize, i been out her all day waiting on my break to get this loot."


He took out one of his swords, "Its time to ninja the ninja." He creep closer to the scene, staying out of site. He watched as the ninja dispatched the guards effortlessly. 'Ninjas love throwing things and using weird Majicks, well taste my Majicks.' Tyro pulled out a bottle clogged with a cloth, filled with a flammable liquid. 'Ok i can do this'. He focused his energy into his sword, *Backdraft.* His sword became super hot, burning his hand. "Ouch, ouch," he grunted before burning the cloth. Then he threw the bottle at the Ninja dude. He cocked his sword back. *Air Render* a blast of air traveled to the bottle and broke it. This caused a chain reaction to make it explode throwing glass, fire, and smoke everywhere. The whole area was covered in the black smoke.

Tyro watched as the smoke engulfed the area. 'Success.' Tyro rushed to the truck hidden in the smoke. 'Step 1, get to truck complete, Step 2, Retrieve cargo was underway.'

Black smoke cloaked the truck, as well as Yan. Anzac's eyes immediately widened,"We've got company". Anzac's first thought was that it was Azure security that was present to protect the shipment. However, the smoke led Anzac to believe that this activity was from another raider. Yan was most likely blinded, so the gunner only had himself to rely on. His eyes scanned the area for another figure. Eventually, Anzac spotted a figure outside of the smoke. He couldn't make out any features due to their distance from his cover. All he could spot was the slight glint of silver armor in the moonlight. Anzac raised his guns and took aim. Not wanting to lose time before the Fighter disappered into the smoke as well, he opened fire.

Tyro entered the smoke as bullets whizzed over his head. 'That gunner works fast, I'm losing my window for having a conflict free day.' He dove behind the truck and looked for a way to rock it back on its wheels. He jumped up to grab the railing and tried to pull it down. The truck did not budge. He then tried to open the door to the cargo but it was locked. He aimed his sword ready to cut the lock but stop after thinking about the loud sound it would make.





He was Losing time and the smoke was starting to disperse. He took a deep breath. *CHING* He struck the lock and the doors opened. He entered the truck with the smoke. It was dark and filled with dust. *cough cough* he covered his mouth and fan the area. As is eyes adjusted to the dark he saw...

As the smoke cleared, Anzac could finally take stock of what had gone on in the area around the truck. He saw that Yan had already pulled the driver out of the truck and slashed his throat. He could hear the sickening sound of the assassin cutting through the individual in the passenger seat.That wasn't the most concerning thing was that the body hanging out on the truck was wearing a Tristanian military uniform."No...", Anzac thought, alarmed,"We were lied to!",the Gunner then watched as Tyro opened the cargo. Anzac began rushing towards the fallen vehicle, but then suddenly stopped. a trail of frigid mist leaked from out of the cargo bed. Then, shockingly, a tall, slender woman began to crawl out. She was completely naked, and had a dazed, expressionless look on her face. She didn't even seem to notice Tyro as she droned past him. Once she had walked fifteen feet behind Tyro, she was surround by a blue illumination. Anzac shielded his vision with his arm. Once he lowered it, his eyes widened in horror,"...impossible", he gasped at the sight of what stood before himself and the fighter:

Zero cursed under her breath that stupid Eidolan had ran from her! she ran towards it her red eyes glowing in anger "Hey!, I wasn't finished with you yet!" she hadn't ever seen one up close until a few minutes ago. She came upon the two guys at the truck. She was obviously mad, you could tell by looking at her. If she could tame an Eidolan, or at least that's what she thought the lady was. That she could really prove herself that she was as strong as all of the others. She really hated feeling inferior by any means and some guys had told her a little girl shouldn't be carrying such a heavy weapon, well let's just say what happened to them was what they deserved. She swung angrily at the girl she had chased here which this whole scene probably confused the hell out of the two watching which she hadn't even noticed in her rage. "Stupid chick! I don't like being ignored!" she yelled at it as it dodged her attacks rather easily. "GRAGGH!" She seemed to come out of nowhere where ever ice was. So was her weakness fire? she didn't know but she didn't want to summon a monster for nothing. She just kept trying to slice her instead, no wonder she had lost her she had been drawn to the truck, it looked like some sort of a trap but she didn't know for sure.

A-A-A NAKE GIRL... Tyro Face went straight red. His mind was so far in the gutter... She was the most beautiful woman he ever saw. She had some sort of magic surrounding her but Tyro did not care. He complete forgot his mission to steal the weapons... He did not even care that the smoke was clear and the gunner had a clear shot at him... The only thing on his mind was That ASS.


Then out of nowhere a came another chick who acted similar to a berserker. But if one looked more closely you could tell she was a beast master, and pretty cute too. Sadly Tyro was not because of the ice girl nudity. All his brain could process was to hot girls fighting.

I was in a coffee shop, running away from home when I heard the news. Our hero, Duke, gone. Vanished into thin air!


"Duke," I says to myself, "What are you thinking?" never talked so much. so i walk out of the coffee shop to see what was going on here.. i also think to myself "duke what have happen to you...? i must find milord" i continue runing toward the castle but there was no one there "weird where everybody go?" i look around still it was nothing..... "duke... where are you?"
 
Anzac snapped back to reality and assessed the situation. The Azure Entente fighter was not the most imminent threat on his hands, it was the Eidolon. Eidolons were not supposed to exist outside of either their Summoner's range or their Earthly catalyst Yet here this one was, standing in front of them. ""Zero!", Anzac shouted, acknowledging the presence of his associate, "I'll try to weaken it, you get it under control"


At this point, Yan had exited the truck and was now racing towards the Icy being in front of them.


Alarmed at both Zero's slashing and the speed that Yan was approaching, Shiva let loose an arctic wave that shot out in a circular radius around her form.


(I'll roll dice for each of the likeliness of an attack hitting each character. The names in this order will correlate to the die in the same place; Anzac, Yan, Tyro, Zero)

Zero shielded herself with her Scythe, may not be the best defense but better than nothing she still took most of the attack which hurt "Aggh!" she had heard Anzac and nodded "Right!" she couldn't tame an Eidolan in the same way as any other creature so she instead decided to keep it busy yelling at her, taunting her and then when she shot ice at her she would use her scythe like a big bat as a way to avoid taking too much damage. She knew Eidolan's were powerful but this seemed insane.
 
Anzac was immediately knocked down from the force of Shiva's attack. The unbearable cold helped to dull his reaction time as he tried to get himself up and regain his composure. He wouldn't be able to take another hit like that. Red rays of light started at Anzac's elbows and then circled their way down his forearms, eventually reaching his guns. As quickly as he could, dealt out a blazing fire shot, aimed straight for the Eidolon.


Thanks to his speed and acrobatics, Yan was able to flip himself over the frost wave. His sinister grin got even bigger,"Is that all you've got, you bitch!? I'm going to make ice shavings out of you!", Yan proceeded to bolt forward slash at the Eidolon

Tyro stood there in a oblivious daze as a wave of ice pelted him in the face. This woke him up from his love trance in time for him to get blasted into the truck by the arctic wave. "OUT my head... the heck was that." He looked around to see the assassin running at the girl. He tried to get up but the but parts of his body was frozen. "The hacks... how come i get hit... I'm a lover not a fighter," he screamed as he attempt to break the ice. Then he stopped for a second, 'Wait... I am a fighter... wow i feel stupid..."

The ice melted under the heat of his blade. He jumped into action ready to defend another ice attack. 'Is this the weapon? Its really hot... OH CRAP THE ASSASSIN." (apparently the attack was so strong that it cured his stupidity) I have to deliver her to the boss, we need more members.


*Rush* He dashed at the assassin with a burst of speed and attempted to Knock him down. "Can you refrain from killing my new friend =)"

Yan dodged Tyro's tackle, his eyes wily with rage, looking as if he might attack the fighter, however, other matters were at hand.


Shiva let out a sharp shriek from both Anzac and Yan's assault. The Eidolon's floating form then suddenly darted away from the group, making a turn at the next street and picking up an enormous amount of speed.


"I'll have to kill you later", Yan threatened Tyro, and then sprinted off, chasing Shiva.


After Yan had disappeared, sirens rang out. The sun was beginning to rise, illuminating the other three who were still at the scene. Anzac looked to Zero,"Follow me. We can't be implicated in this", he began to head out, but then stopped, glancing at Tyro," If you'd like to stick around to tell the authorities about you 'friend' be my guest", the Gunner then began to head off in the opposite direction
 
Zero watched as the stupid Eidolan ran from her again but then her head turned to look at Anzo. He was right it would be more logical to just leave but she never thought logically, it just wasn't her thing. She almost stopped to complain but just nodded her head and followed him out of this mess.

Tyro hit his knees, "COME BACK MS.... HOW AM I GOING TO FACE MY BOSS." 'She gonna kill me... maybe i should just disappear.' Sirens could be heard in the back ground, "Crap cops... wait... YAY, I can get arrested then i wont have to face my boss." He stood up and tried to walk toward the sound but tripped over a rock and landed in the bushes. "NOO COME BACK ARREST ME!" he yelled. He got out of the bush and brushed off the leaves and dirt. 'Well its a long walk back T-T' He started walking back to the city depressed about having to report to his boss.

Zero could hear the fighter even from where she was. Kind of felt bad for him actually, she appeared to work for Regalia but she was secretly working for Saorise herself. She knew people on both sides of the conflict and knew how harsh that woman was at times... Tyro she thought was his name but she saw more of Regalia than of her own side. Oh well she was sure he'd be fine. His next meeting with Saorise was soon actually she would have to find a reasonable excuse to leave tomorrow.
 
Anzac led Zero to the other side of town. The duo reached the doors of Tonberry's, a restaurant and bar that was a frequent hang out for him. As he walked into the establishment, he headed straight for the bar.


The waitress walked over to him,"Hey, Anzac, can..."


"A beer and a shot", the Gunner said before she could finish. He then turned to Zero," So what were you told about the shipment?"
 
She looked at him, she remembered when she used to work at this place, uggh not good memories they made her actually wear a dress two words, not cool. That was actually how she met Anzac in the first place and back then was when she didn't have all that hair in her face, she hated it. Seriously though? she was never wearing that again. Not in a million years. Anzac took down his first shot and went straight for the beer next. He was drinking partially to warm himself up from the encounter with Shiva. However, he had also developed a slight drinking problem, hence his drinking that early in the morning, "You don't miss wearing the eye magnet?", Anzac remarked as he watched the Zero shiver. He half made the comment to ease himself up from the tension earlier.
 
Tyro dragged his feet through the streets with a bandages over his nose and cheek. "Boss is so mean," he complained, "She never listens to me and always says i make up excuses... I DID SEE a girl who could shoot ice and fly." He massaged the bruises on his arms and grunted, "AND THEN she has the nerve to punish me... evil woman... treating me different and penalizes me the hardest.... If she was a so hot i would totally kick her ass." He stopped in front of a bar/restaurant called Tonberry. "Who am i kidding, I'm too tired to fight her. I just want to sleep all day."


Tyro has a history with Saorise Advent. She found found him working as a merc barely making enough money. She explain her group but Tyro did not pay attention. He did agreed to join the group because he was trying to impress her. At first Tyro was given easy assignments like every other Joe and she had no expectations of him. His life was easy, his pay was decent, and his work load was almost nothing. One day he did something he would regret his entire career. While escorting a shipment, his group was attacked by Regalia. There leader was an high ranking officer in Azure Entente and was killed during the ambush. Tyro took over and lead his team to victory. What Tyro did not know at the time was that his shipment was a weapon that, if lost, would be the end of Azure Entente. Since then, Tyro had been nicknamed the Clutch of Azure. When Tyro was asked to report the events, he received an promotion to become an officer. Then everything went downhill. The boss had expectations for him, and would seriously punish him when ever he failed a mission. She wanted him to lose his carefree lazy attitude and become a true general because he had potential. She also took a liking to him (not love but like a mentor/student relationship). All of these factors meant more difficult mission, which he had to preform solo, and would get seriously punished if he failed. Nobody knows what the punishment was, but it was enough to make the biggest slacker in the world, take his job seriously.


Tyro looked at the restaurant and exhaled. Might as well get a drink, raspberry lemonade always cheers me up. He entered the bar and saw a empty seat next to a guy and girl (@TriBlade and @MattieLee). He plopped down into the seat accidentally bumping the guy, "WAITER WAITER, Can i get a Raspberry Lemonade, hold the ice. Shit... And give me a Long island." He drop his head on the table," And can i have some meat, The expensive kind. I just got my paided, so I want to enjoy my self." He did not even bother to apologized to the man he bumped because he was too miserable.
 
Zero glared at him with those familiar cold red eyes. "No, I don't miss getting stared at by every drunken man that passed through that door" he was just being himself which annoyed her, she didn't find that joke funny at all. She took a deep sigh and figured she'd get a drink herself. "A shot of Corona with a toss salad" she sighed again when the waitress recognized her. This was going to be a long day she could see it already.
 
"I see I've started a trend", Anzac remarked as the two next to him had also ordered drinks. He waited for Tyro to take a seat before actually initiating an interaction,"How convenient that you've come to the same venue as my partner and I", he then took another sip of his beer before continuing,"I' going to go out on a limb here guess that neither of you expected that truck to be Tristanian Military", he then looked over Tyro,"Don't play dumb with me. You know what outfit we're with. You expected it to be Regalia in that truck....am I right?"

Zero watched Anzac and Tyro, she hoped this wouldn't turn into a fight. She would be forced to attack a fellow Azure or risk blowing her cover, she hated such situations and always tried to avoid them but she had ended up having to fight her unaware team mates before, only about half of the higher ups in Azure knew the truth that she really wasn't loyal to Regalia but Tyro had no clue he thinks she really is Regalia so she was sure he wouldn't flinch at hitting her she watched to wait if she would have to intervene as peacemaker or not. Sometimes playing double agent was pretty rough but she thought it was worth it and she had good relations with both Saorise and the Duke so that was a plus. She first started in Regalia after she met Anzac and then when he realized she had practical combat skills and was capable of taming monsters he told the Duke who knew of her family name and she was brought to the rank of an officer right away. But she didn't agree with the way they ran things so she turned to Saorise and she has been working in both groups going back and forth ever since. Even though she liked the way Saorise ran things better she had to admit she had a closer relationship with the duke, after her father died a few years back he had been a sort of replacement father figure to her while in Azure she was an ally she didn't get to see very often.
