Realistic or Modern Fight For This Love

Jon sighs softly and nods. “I care about you Carmen, I really do but I just need some time. I can’t rush back into this.” He murmurs and runs a hand through his hair. “Do you wanna come in for dinner?”

Carmen frowned some and looked up at him, "Yeah sure, why not." She mumbled and followed him back inside, pulling his arm towards her for a moment before he went into the kitchen, "And when you are ready.... I'm right here waiting." She mumbled and frowned then let go of his arm and followed him to the kitchen

Jon sighs softly and squeezes her hand. “I know.” He murmurs. He needed her to just be okay with being friends though for now. If he couldn’t do thay he didn’t know how they could go further. He sighs and makes them both a plate of the spaghetti he had made.

Carmen was determined to not let everything get to her this time around ensnared just try to be patient for him. She couldn’t risk losing him out of her life again

Abigail saw that Carmen was there and quickly reached for her making squealing noises and smiling so she reached over and tickled her little tummy, smiling at her.

Carmen smiled softly at her as she looked at him once then kept reaching for carmen anyway. “Here pass me the jar you get to eating your food.” She suggested.

She smiled and kept feeding her, cooing to her the whole time until she finished and was happily sitting in Carmen's lap with her sippy cup of water until she fell asleep, "Here, I'll do the dishes and you can take her back." She smiled at him some, passing her over once Jon finished eating, clearing their plates and doing the washing up for him

Jon nods and takes Abigail. He heads up to her nursery and lays her down gently, rubbing her belly. He smiles and turns the white noise machine on and just watches her happily.

Carmen sat on the counter top downstairs looking around. This had been her home once and she could still see parts that she had made theirs but there were parts that she could see Tori had started to change and it left a bitter taste in her mouth but she put those thoughts away and looked over at Jon.

Jon heads back downstairs and yawns softly. “She’s fast asleep.” He murmurs and leans agaisnt the doorway. “Want a ride home?” He asks softly.

Carmen shook her head. “I just called a cab.” She mumbled and looked up at him for a minute then back at the lounge. “I thought you were planning on moving out of this house?” She asked him quietly having overheard his conversation last week.

Jon looks at herand shrugs. “I want to. Still looking for a good place. Trying to find places in a good school district for Abigail.” He murmurs and goes over to her.

She nodded a little and looked out the window seeing the cab pull up. “I’ll see you at work.” She mumbled and got down, patting his arm then walked out quietly and got in the cab.

Jon nods a little and watches her leave. “Text me when you get home.” He calls after her and then heads back inside. He heads up to bed and curls up.

Carmen smiled a little and did just that. By then she figured she would be patient with him just a few more months before he came around to them being together again.... in the end after another year of being patient with him and having any small hopes dashed she’d finally given up on the idea of them ever being together again. In the process she’d met another guy who’d started coming down to the gym. One of Jon’s clients even and they were doing pretty well for the most part. She hadn’t really told Jon yet. Or anyone for that matter but today he was coming in to pick her up rather than work out and she was hoping people would get the message then.

Jon fans a hand through his hair and walks over to Carmen. “Hey, What are you doing after work?” He asks soflty. He’d admit he was taking things really slow with the two of them but he really wasn’t sure what he wanted. He really did care about her but he was still scared. He still tried to spend time with her though.

She set Abigail down into her pushchair and smiled over at Jon. “I am going out to dinner. With JD.” She told him blushing a little and got up to go get a napkin so she could get abigail cleaned up. “What about you?” She asked him turning to look at him.

Jon raises an eyebrow. “JD?” He questions and watches her. “What are you going out to dinner with him for?” He asks softly and watches Abigail. He smirks at her and rocks her gently. “I was gonna see if you wanted to have dinner and a movie night but I guess not.”

Carmen looked him dead in the eye as she heard the door open. “We’ve been going out for a couple months now.” She told him seriously. She figured after a year of waiting that he wasn’t going to be trying to pick her up anytime soon and so she’d finally moved on. JD made her happy and he was good to her.

Jon frowns when she tells him that. She was seeing someone else. He sighs softly and nods a little. “I’m happy for you.” He mutters, lying though his teeth. He was jealous, which he didn’t expect to be, but he was. He never really expected her to move on, but he had kept her waiting. It had been a year and it was his fault. He sighs and moves away from the counter. “Have fun tonight.” He mutters and heads over to his client who was just coming out of the locker room.

Carmen smiled as JD walked into the gym to get a couple things from his locker and came over to her after. “I can leave soon as the other receptionist gets here.” She told him, kissing him softly and sat on the desk while she waited, gently getting Abigail down for a nap so that the next girl could just get on with her job. “This one is getting so big.” She smiled some

Jd chuckles and watches her with Abigail. “She is. Jon doesn’t shut up about her.” He jokes and rubs the little girls head gently. She was an adorable baby. “So what are you in the mood for tonight?” He asks and kisses her forehead softly.

Jon glances over at the two and frowns. He grits his teeth slightly. They were over there looking like a little family with his daughter. He shakes his head and turns away. He hated how jealous he was of them. He knew it was his fault.
