Back story: A Seasoned first responder, David responded to one of the first reported cases of the mysterious virus, and upon arriving at the scene, was greeted by carnage. Mangled bodies, and blood, lots of it. Like a wild animal tore through a camp, most were dead on arrival, but one happened to survive. A man, who grabbed David's arm and told him of the horror that caused this. A great black wolf, the size of a small truck had caused this and David watched in horror as the man began to undergo a transformation, and bit through his bunkers, all the way down to bone before expiring. David was now infected, and his first transformation took place not far after. At first, David thought he'd contacted some kind of flu like virus from the man, as he began to experience cold sweats, headaches, and a fever. He went to multiple doctors as he began to get worse, and no one could explain what he had. After a long hard night, David's symptoms immediately disappeared and he realized he could smell and hear what was going on in the next room over, that he could see in the dark as if it were nothing. David knew something was up as he began to have dreams of running freely in a forest, guided by the moon. He awoke with a start and began to change into a monster. He doesn't remember what happened that night, only to find himself in his bed the next morning.

Virus effect on your character: Shape Shifting. Lindsy can fully transform into a Jaguar, gaining it's full potential, however, losing humanity. While in Jaguar form, she has heightened senses such as smell and sight, her hearing is normal, and while in Jaguar form she can use her paws to climb vertical surfaces, or at least run along them. She's really agile in this form. However, she does not understand human language in this form and sometimes loses affection towards humans.


Back story: She's just an ordinary girl of an every-day family. She has a husband and a two year old son. Well, she had all of that until she began turning into this beast. Her first transformation happened out of the blue in her office. That was when she was fired immediatelly, and couldn't come home. She didn't ant to come home. then she started changing shape more often until she learned how to do it and how to prevent it. Her family asked her to leave when they saw her other side, and so she began a life in an apartment she rents on the other side of town.

  Allen was on his way to the inspiring but painful life of University, after a long year of procrastination, watching anime and finally getting employed. Though, this year was a very unique one. A virus was spreading; causing people to inhabit animalistic traits or completely become an animal. To his dismay it wasn't a zombie apocalypse (Like he would survive anyway.)
  
  While Allen and his friend were chatting it up at his workplace, a random customer went up to Allen at the counter and just grabbed his glasses and sniffed it. His friend, Dean, completely freaked out and hid behind the counter as Allen complained to his manager about the customer. Since his manager was being a lazy ass, Allen had to take care of him instead. Yelling at the customer and swiping his glasses from his grasp, he wasn't expected the customer to bite him, or actually do anything physical. After a few days when he was bitten, Allen was craving for insects suddenly and his friends, family and even himself was disgusted by this.
  
  Nevertheless, he still ate insects, therefore he discovered his ability of his tongue. To summarise it, On a fine day, a fly was buzzing up a near-by tree and he was starving. Allen just opened his mouth instinctively and his tongue darted outwards, catching the fly. Another ability he found, while at the doctor's, was the ability to change his entire body's colour to the same background or his surroundings, like Camouflage. He adored this ability then his tongue one.
  
  During the course of days, he suffered from:

  • A sore throat because ew, insects

Virus effect on your character: Able to shape shift, Xander gains the speed, strength and stamina of a horse. Although of course, he looses the ability to talk or understand humans and tends to shy away from people in this form. He also now cannot stomach any form of meat.

Back story: A drifter, Xander never really had any interest in going to college or getting a high paying job. Drifting from place to place and living one day at a time suits him perfectly. A social creature, the bar scene suits him perfectly and he loves his job. He also takes great pleasure in watching the reaction of straight guys who hit on the 'hot chick at the bar.'

Although his previous bar employment ended when, during a party night, he was on the bar dancing and before he even knew what was going on... He was a horse on the bar. Panic broke out and he fell from the bar, landing atop some panicked patrons. Not in control of himself, he raced through the bar and finally made it out onto the street. It's safe to say he wasn't welcomed back after that. He now tends the bar at the Willbourne.​

Back story:

Babylon was the love child of her mother and one of her co-workers. Once her dad, the man she was raised by, found out Babylon's parents split up and she moved in with her mother and her mother's lover. When she was about 16 they went on vacation to Australia and to the Great Barrier Reef, Babylon's dream since she was in love with the sea and it's life, but then it happened… After diving for 15 minutes Babylon felt a little strange and signing to go up, but before she reached the surface her body changed and she turned into a great white.


Everybody swam away in fear.


When she turned back to normal, she was tossed aside by her mother, who did not want her anymore in fear, who did not want a freak as child. Not knowing what to do, the 16 year old went back to her dad and begged him to take her in even though she wasn't really his daughter. The man felt sympathy for the girl her had raised and took her in, keeping a close eye on her and loving her with his heart like her had before.

Virus effect on your character: The only notable trait of the virus on Attor is his eyes. They are identical to that of a snake's, vertical pupils the strangest part about him. Because of this, he can see an object's heat signature. However, Attor's skin has also been affected by the virus. Having a rush of adrenaline course through his system (whether he's heated during a fight or fleeing a foe) his skin will harden into scales as a mechanism for self defense. He can't call upon this ability on a whim and must wait for the skin to harden and shed off. His health regeneration is a tad faster than most mortals.

Back story:

Attor has always been one to avoid unruly situations. He lived in a fairly normal household with an American mother and a Japanese father. They were never too strict on him; in fact, they liked to pretend he didn't exist. Attor never minded his parents' ignorance, mostly because he simply accepted it as a part of him. Attor's always had a personality that's kept him in the sidelines. A great leader, but unwilling to serve for others unless the situation is absolutely necessary.

That's how he was infected.

As he was walking to work one evening, he heard a few muffled shouts coming from a nearby alleyway. Nobody else was around so he took it upon himself to check out the commotion. Having been taught Isshin-Ryu karate by his father, he was fully prepared for whatever lay ahead. It was a two on one fight, with the victim already a bloody mess. His nose had been broken by the time Attor got there and the sight let Attor jump into action. He hadn't noticed the fangs on one of the attackers until he'd sent a kick to his face. The two put up quite a fight, but Attor prevailed with only two scratches: a thin line on his cheek and a nick on his forearm. When he went to help pick up the injured boy, he realized he had a protruding tail and a dainty set of fangs. It was too late by the time Attor tried to backpedal; the boy had grasped with a bloody hand and wrapped it around his forearm.

The change came soon enough and although Attor's eyes didn't exactly keep him incognito, he's managed to keep his head down thus far. His employer let him keep his job, too, and swore not to tell the authorities. Now, however, Attor tries to keep his head down when he talks to customers.

Virus effect on your character (Pick one of the four, and then make your own): In the palms of both of his hands there are two holes that open up when he fires out his spines. The spines are about as long as his arms and barbed at the tip with a small opening to inject nerotoxic venom. The shape of the spine is like that of a harpoon and has a similar density as steel. When he has injected his venom he takes the spines back into his body to refill or expels them and grows new ones. Most of his bones are of a higher density like a shell set to a human scale and he eats his food mostly by swallowing it whole where it is dissolved quickly. Also he is capable of excreting an extremely abrasive slime that he can move on with ease. Finally, he is able to breathe under water ,however, he must keep liquids in his body to survive sufficiently on land.

Back story: Most of the time he is able to live among normal humans without being noticed because none of his mutations are blatantly obvious. He got his job in auto sales about two years ago because of his "good people skills". It wasn't until recently that people started questioning him by the amount of water he would drink. Still he hides his new abilities quite well and has since childhood despite a few mishaps now and then. Gabriel left his family as soon as he could and bought a private condo in the nice part of town.​

She can sprout huge, grey wings and can use them to fly faster than any other living thing can travel (meaning, this doesn't include planes). Her eyes also transform, turning almost completely black, with golden edges. Because human eyes are less circular than bird eyes, the gold is more visible. The eye transformation does mean her sight becomes super-charged, but nothing else does.


Back story: Grew up pretty normally in a competitive, Korean-American family, though she doesn't much appreciate K-pop/dramas and doesn't care about her looks as much as she might. Having one older brother, she always mattered less than him, but didn't much mind, as she hates drawing attention to herself. Her official name is Eun-Hwa, but she goes by Ella because her name means kindness flower, and Elderberry blossoms are supposed to represent kindness in the language of flowers. She was in her dorm when she first transformed, unprecedented (she wasn't bitten or anything). The first transformation was extremely painful and scary, but luckily her roommates weren't in and she managed to change back before they returned. Since then, she has managed to get her transformations under control and hides who she is. She desperately doesn't want anyone to know and only transforms in secret, usually at night on the roof of her dorm building (yeah, they allow them to go onto the roofs there). She knows about Willbourne but stays away from it, in case it would clue someone in to her infection. Her family lives in another state and she assured them she wasn't infected (hahahaha).

Her official name is Eun-Hwa, but she goes by Ella because her name means kindness flower, and Elderberry blossoms are supposed to represent kindness in the language of flowers. She was in her dorm when she first transformed, unprecedented (she wasn't bitten or anything). The first transformation was extremely painful and scary, but luckily her roommates weren't in and she managed to change back before they returned. Since then, she has managed to get her transformations under control and hides who she is. She desperately doesn't want anyone to know and only transforms in secret, usually at night on the roof of her dorm building (yeah, they allow them to go onto the roofs there). She knows about Willbourne but stays away from it, in case it would clue someone in to her infection. Her family lives in another state and she assured them she wasn't infected (hahahaha).

Virus effect on your character: Able to shape shift, Xander gains the speed, strength and stamina of a horse. Although of course, he looses the ability to talk or understand humans and tends to shy away from people in this form. He also now cannot stomach any form of meat.

Back story: A drifter, Xander never really had any interest in going to college or getting a high paying job. Drifting from place to place and living one day at a time suits him perfectly. A social creature, the bar scene suits him perfectly and he loves his job. He also takes great pleasure in watching the reaction of straight guys who hit on the 'hot chick at the bar.'

Although his previous bar employment ended when, during a party night, he was on the bar dancing and before he even knew what was going on... He was a horse on the bar. Panic broke out and he fell from the bar, landing atop some panicked patrons. Not in control of himself, he raced through the bar and finally made it out onto the street. It's safe to say he wasn't welcomed back after that.​
